We had a girl with a stage 4 murmer as well, they gave her the expectancy of 2. She said heck that, and lived to 9 nearly 10 yrs old before it became her end.
She was silly, funny, and took showers with you.
      Miss that silly white floof

I have a rescue boy. He’s been rehomed twice, so when he came to me he had some issues and must have been very confused. Two years in his first home, which was abusive and then two more in another home where one of the household wanted rid of him.
So he was four and I’ve now had him almost four years. It took him a long time to bond with me but now he’s my little shadow.

Will never understand how anyone can just abandon a poor innocent animal, especially one that’s in need of medical care 😡🤷🏼‍♀️😢. I understand financial issues are a factor but there’s no excuse for just leaving them when there are places that can help / take the animals so they are cared for. Am very glad that Ellie and Fergie got to stay together as support for each other and they now have a loving new home and will get the care and attention they deserve 🐈 ❤

I just adopted two older kittens from a rescue. They were transferred from a high kill shelter in California, USA to a rescue organization in BC Canada.
My female had a horrendous start and to this day is very skittish and un trusting. I have had them for 3 months now and have had many medical issues with the male kitten; we are dealing with stomach issues right now.
The joy i feel when my lil girl sidles up to me on the couch is pure bliss. Rescue cats can be work but if you have patience and time you will be rewarded.

This is a most heart warming story !!!! The lady that presented this video shows so much commitment and love to the animals ! So grateful for the people who adopted them and are willing to provide all the care they deserve. We all have flaws. That doesn't mean that we are not worthy of love and a chance to live our best life !!

Yup, I have 2 rescue cats. 1 was dumped when she was pregnant, so I fostered her and helped her birthing as all 4 kitties were breach births. They all got adopted, and by then, I'd become attached to mama, so I adopted her. The 2nd kept running away from her home, and didn't know the name she'd had for 7 years, so of course I adopted her, gave her a new name, and kept her inside for approximately 6-9 months. When she finally came outside, there was no attempt to run away. These gorgeous girls are in their teens now and very happy. Though they still come outside, they can no longer leave the property, but they always follow me. If I go inside, they need to come with me and the same if I go outside. I'm so glad these 2 beautiful sisters were adopted together and now have their own happy family. I hope that Ellie's heart will settle down and that they can live wonderful long lives together. Much love from Australia ❤🇦🇺

@@robingray5037of all my pets, (6 cats, 1 dog, 6 raccoons, and 4 stray kitties that show up daily to eat) only 1 was actually born at my house. The rest knew that I am the CRAZY lady. Even the raccoons come knocking at the door. Until I placed a brick over the hole, mama 'coon and my dog would fight. She would put her paw up the hole into my house and steal food out of the dog's dish.

It’s horrible that these two poor little animals were abandoned so heartlessly and that little Ellie did not get the medical care she needed 😢. If you get an animal then you need to give them everything they need for all their life and not just dump them at the first difficult problem 😡. So lucky that someone realised they had been abandoned and got them the help that the owner couldn’t be bothered to do. Vet bills are increasing but there are other options available which are all much better than just abandoning an animal. Lovely news that Ellie and Fergie have now got a lovely new home together 🐈💓

Poor kitties! I wish they could tell us their story. I couldn't imagine just abandoning a cat like that. People who dump animals at a shelter or vet office at least made an effort to ensure they would be cared for. Still not the best thing to do, but just leaving them behind? I don't understand why or how someone could do that. Unless the person died or had an immediate threat to their life and couldn't take the cats in that moment but intended to come back, I could understand.
I am so glad that they found their loving forever home! 💖

I've been thinking that, someday, hopefully a long, LONG time from now, once my kitties pass on, the next adoptions I'll make will be a bonded pair. I'm so glad these two went together.
I hope Ellie has a nice life ahead of her. Sadly, one of my kitties had a severe heart murmur. We were watching it. I took him to a specialist at Michigan State where they did all the special tests. I was supposed to take him back in the summer of 2020, but you know...
Anyway, I came home one day and found he had passed while I was at the store. He was acting so completely normally before I left - playing, eating, using his box, and begging for me to carry him around. I was so upset when I thought about how I wasn't with him in the end, but now I think it was a blessing in disguise. These situations usually take kitties very quickly, and so there's nothing I would've been able to do...which, imo, would've been more traumatizing for me.
I hope sweet Ellie will be able to continue to get the special care she needs in the time she has left. These babies deserve the world.

Well, that's not love, it is cruel as the rescuer pointed out. We had a kitten of nearly 4 mths we rescued straight from Spring St in Chatswood (Sydney, Australia), with a hole in the heart. She had been dumped at 9pm at night! We had no doubts about keeping her, which thrilled our vet, who said it would otherwise be hard to rehome her. We already had 2 cats so she settled in with our two twin brothers. Our new kitten developed very serious heart failure at 3 yrs but despite some emergency visits to the vet, she lived until she was 5 yrs old. She was a dear, sweet, and brave little cat.

Don’t get me started on the costs of veterinary care. Nobody is willing to let a pet owner have anything done on credit, even if the poor animal is suffering because of an easily corrected condition. It’s either pay up or euthanasia, and it’s a damned shame that people who don’t have much to start with have to make such a painful decision.
