Great tour and sea trial Jack,
I’ve watched many tours of boats on here, but they are all quite samey in style,
This one though, has actually had some thought put into it 👌🏻
I do like that rear cockpit seating idea, also the drop downs on either side,
If money was no object for me, I’d buy this and be well happy,
3, 2, 1 back in the room! Back to my SeaRay 240DA 😂

It does have the best cockpit in class but it is NOT due to the turning seat. It is due to the fact you get a CHOICE of (1) turning seat with small tender garage (2) large garage with sunpads on top or (3) fixed seating with crew space. I might pick this version but there are still good reasons for the others - and it's not just this model, it's all models from this size up.

@@54cwalt can't imagine it'll be much different to other yachts - a small storage space with a toilet and a shower.

This was the first yacht I got into years back.. loved it. Even though when you spin the seats 180’ you can’t really step off..
The fact they haven’t changed the helm up top or down since day 1 is crazy. And why can’t they fit 2 full size bathrooms.
I will say woodwork is very very good. Furniture and finishes just look smooth. And the drop down sides is why I’d get this.
Truth is absolute 47 is I think much better in almost every way. Absolute in general is much better.
Galleon 64 is nice, it has drop down sides which make it huge and the passage way to the front just make it great. But it’s also no comparison to absolute 60 fly or 64 navetta.

very very nice. great design, i would think though given the tech they have on the vessel they could have the upper helm station on slides to move it fwd and aft. aft closer to the helm seat for cruising then slide it fwd for docking maneuvers and standing room. .

It's insane that put that much engineering effort into the bow seats moving (and mostly uselessly from what I can tell) but no adjustment on the pilot seats.

No day-head? Do those using the bunk cabin have to knock on the door of the VIP or master cabin in order to use a toilet at night? Or is there an option for a night commode to be mounted on one of the 'balconies?'

I really do not like this helm seat option! Every thing about this boat is exquisite but I would rather the helm seat be traditional helm chair. Also, I wish the bow and fly bridge cushions were more plump so not to look wrinkled as shown in the video. Cheap looking for such an otherwise gorgeous boat.

Tremendous amount of bang for the buck. The innovation is almost magical. Makes you wonder why other's haven't come up with these brilliant ideas. Someone has to be the trendsetter!
By the way a motor is electrical driven and an engine is petroleum based fuel driven. Therefore you were describing engines not a motor! You need to get your facts straight youngster. I suggest everybody watch "Aquaholic"(a seasoned pro) walkthroughs.

Pfft. This boat is many hundreds of thousands of dollars more than the Okean 50. I mean, if you absolutely have to have a goofy/spinny seat in the cockpit, go for it. But the Okean has many of the same features, including the bulwarks that lower to increase deck square footage. Far better value.

  • @buoyohbuoy790
    @buoyohbuoy790 2 роки тому +3

No, categorically it is not! Marketeers always try to find ways to make anything more attractive to justify a higher price. New boaters might fall into the trap, because they have no clue how a boat is actually used, and they are sold to even obviously impractical ideas… Those however, who understand what sea water does to a boat, and how they will use that boat in practical terms, would rather stay away from such “innovations”, and if they have some spare cash, spend it on a gyro stabilizer instead.
The rotating rear couch for example, will it still be functioning three years down the road, after salt has settled inside the mechanism and the bearings will start rusting? And how long you will need to deploy the “balconies” and set the cockpit up in order to enjoy it? And how long it will take to bring the boat back together before pulling the anchor to hit the waves again? And who’s going to do that?
A boat like this is typically used by a couple of mostly empty nesters in their mid 50s, and another couple of friends. Space is never an issue really, shaded space is. So a usual 50ft boat cockpit is just all you need, and a comfortable air conditioned indoors space if it gets hot in the afternoon. Even the flybridge is useless, unless you want to get out of the sight of the crowds at the marina in the evening, and enjoy a drink or two. But this is a space that you need to wash down after each passage too, or salt makes it unusable… And this is extra work…
A boat is supposed to be used for leisure, and there are already enough chores and inconveniences that require lots of work from the crew. A blown generator impeller for example, will cost the owner operator half an hour in a hot engine room, and half a liter of sweat to replace. And such things happen once or twice every summer in the med, with all those floating plastic bags in the marinas, and the jellyfish that you come across.
So no, I will pass that, and stick with my current comfy 60 ft flybridge boat. Most of the time, it is the things you do not see (e.g. stabilizer, second generator, water maker, spare fresh water pump, 5KW inverter and 15 KWh of lithium house batteries to cool down 2-3 cabins during the night without any generator running, a large aluminum dinghy, a large fridge, a long anchor chain with a good anchor, a washer/drier etc), that give you peace of mind, and make a real difference on how much you can enjoy your boat.

I think there is just too much going on with this boat, every time you anchor you will spend time moving things around, then not know where to sit, then put everything away, then you will find that you only use a small amount of it features, but when new guests come on board you’ll have to show them all the features,, relaxing? Don’t think so

1,6 pounds?? Very expensive!!! So it's better to buy a Navetta, Absolute or Azimut... at (more or less) the same price you get it bigger, more comfortable and, let's say it, more quality!!
