Great review Alex - really grown into this - so informative, the Galeons need to be seen to be believed - once the balconies are down they feel huge for a mid range boat - definitely on my wish list and their finish is as good as the other main 3 - would go Galeon if had the money.
Great comprehensive video and review of this 440 Fly. It is a beautiful boat an no other yacht manufacturer can compete in this 45/46 foot range in fit, finish and price. I believe that Galeon no longer make a 480 Fly you refer to and haven't for some time. Perhaps you should consult with Galeon's web site, the next size up being the 500Fly. The 500 Fly is also a fab boat but cannot understand why it does not have a helm door as the 400, 440, 560, 640, 680 and 800 Fly's do.
brilliant they have not given over to the trend of making the galley larger than the saloon. you only spend so much time cooking. far better to have the larger lounge. very well presented.
Funny I can't see a need for a sea keeper unless your in a rough Anchorage and then your going to have to listen to it all night. Under way I don't see a need. Just my opinion.
What in the world are you wearing? You look like you're getting ready to go snowmobiling. 😂 Nice thorough tour and test ride, though. You're becoming my 4th "go to" presenter of boats. Edit: I didn't mean in 4th place, just I already watch 3 others regularly.... and now I've added you.
I have been on a galleon and found very poor build quality. The flybridge has basically no protection and makes you feel like your going to fall overboard.
There are several channels here on the YT that have zero commentary if that's your thing.... although Alex would probably prefer you just mute his channel 😀.
14 man boat, 2 man helm ? Women not allowed ? Even as a very bloke 'bloke' it's a a cringe moment, repeating in all your videos. At 17min 14 seconds, THAT boat would be sent BACK. Guess why ? Good video though & nice to see you're not just wandering about at shows ... 🇬🇧
I see it, at 17:14 lousy upholstery work, that should never have passed quality control. If that obvious flaw makes it through QC, what flaws got through QC where you cannot see them? As far as your 14 “man” complaint … “meh”. The problem I have with Galleon is most of the “options” should be standard. Yachts are not econoboxes and should not be specked or marketed as such.
@@derjaeger3321 Haha, I'll take 'meh'. It's inconceivable they're putting this boat out 'for show'. The presenter here just ignored it. As a manufacturer myself, it's commercial suicide. Nick (Aquaholic) did a review on a 2018 Gallion. All gushing. Opened up the beachclub storage and a bunch of rusty hinge screws slapped me in the face. Clearly scrimping on stainless grade, where unseen ... You get what you pay for. 💯... 🇬🇧
Great review Alex.
Love the format of sea trial and boat tour, much more comprehensive than just a tour 👍
You really do a very nice compilation of every vessel that you tour. Thank you!
Looking at the wake at speed, I would say that’s both an efficient and well-balanced boat.

Brilliant video, this presenter is excellent and makes enjoyable videos at a very good pace
Thanks Simon. That's very much appreciated.
I’d select a few different options and 2 cabins for myself. Great tour. Thanks

Beautiful boat, and informative, clear review.
Quite capable and yachty for the size. Don't really need bigger to enjoy the trip. Can get into cozy marinas.
just a heads up during your summary at the end when you overlay the tech you put she has 3 engines
What happens to the flybridge when it rains😮?
Had me up until you said it didn’t have a sea keeper and who would need it anyways for this size boat. More of a reason to have one I would think.

For my usage, I just need to change to an IPS drive.
I will own this boat within 5 years

Thanks Mike. I'll take that.
I just need to win the lotto and I’ll buy one 😢
the subtle digs at Galeon throughout this video lol.. Just say you hate the boat.

Yea I have been on a few and after you have been on some of the competitors, it's obvious
You talk too much. Just show the boat please.
Feel free to pop me on mute! I won't be offended. For my part, I'll continue to talk about boats cos that's my job.

What's wrong with saying '14 man boat' or '2 man helm'? That's normal English, I think you're getting confused.
Man is the universal term. The realm of man. Mankind. Etc. The male-gendered version of woman is werman.

@@notjoevaping9600 What's wrong with '2 person' ? Seems normal to me ... 🇬🇧
