Hi and thanks for coming along, yes is a cracker of a pitch, and it’s a 30 min drive with a 20 min walk so accessible to anyone really, I love it Cheers
You've got a great outlook Adrian and you've definitely got your priorities sorted. Long may you continue to enjoy your treks and camps . . . . and your new campervan, when you get it. As for bivis, I've given up on mine; too much condensation. From now on I'm just going to use a tarp for shelter and a groundsheet, Big Agness pad and Nordisk sleeping bag in the summer. (Maybe winter too . . . I can always wear a down jacket and down bootees!)
Hi and thanks for coming along, I suffer comedy in the Alpkit bivy in the winter so use an army gortex one in the damp, can’t imagine just the sleeping bag under the tarp, Northumberland is so wet and windy in the winter. !! It’s a shame we can’t get lightweight waterproof sleeping bags ? As for the van, Tuesday, Cheers
Just returned from a bivy overnight in the coastal dunes....also beautiful in their own way, but not the vast vistas you see from your hilltop eerie. Glad you enjoyed it and had a chill break. Helen.
Hi and thanks for coming along again, so glad you are out, thought about emma last night and how she would like the views, I have a coastal camp coming up in July. Cheers Adrian
Hi and thanks for coming along Dave, I love that spot and last night it was nice having the fine rain to freshen it up nicely. Get the bivy out couple of months left where we have a chance of not needing the tarp. Cheers Adrian
Cracking video Adrian not done a Bivvy camp up there for ages even though it was a bit over cast still a cracking place with plenty cover under there nice job with the garden you can come and do mine 😂😂 atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
Lovely video again Adrian, peaceful nature of your style of camping really comes through. That rock overhang looks like it provides a nice bit of shelter while still giving commanding views. I wonder if it was used far back in neolithic times for surveying the land? ATB, Graham, looking forward to out next meet-up 👍
Hi Graham, thanks for coming along, yes it’s a nice spot, like your rock fridge spot, it’s a go to spot for a quick one, It was nice and fresh with the rain, Coast next is it not ? Cheers Adrian
Another great quick camp video. Just a thought. I don't carry on backpack my walking stick with pointy end up (near my head). I have a small plastic container (sometimes a cut small water bottle) and put that in my backpack sidewall with pointy stick end into it. Aye, Keep up the good work.
Hi and thanks for watching, yes it’s a nice spot, there is a spot for a tent as well, you see it in one of mine using the big tarp, Get up there Cheers Adrian
Another lovely relaxing camp Adrian, nicely tucked under the overhang for some natural shelter 👍 got some good jobs done around the home , what camper are you getting ? Atb Dave
Hi Dave, it’s a great spot for a bivy, with good views, without the mist lol, it was a nice chill out, As for the family camper, an Autosleepers Fairford high top van. Cheers Adrian
I bet that mat deflating is a bit of a pain! I’ve had a Thermarest for years and it’s always been reliable, although I’m not sure how long that’ll remain the case, as my kids have started using it for Scout camps.
Hi and thanks for watching, did my mat deflate in this video, ? I will have to watch it ? Perhaps the comment was meant for another of my videos Cheers
@@northumberlandmountainhopper - I could have sworn it was in this video that you were talking about mats deflating. Edit: 11:39-12:29 you’re definitely taking about mats deflating.
Hi and well I never, correct I was talking about failed mats, I thought one had not failed on this camp, I have to say thanks as I got to watch it again and saw all the greens we have yet to see this year. Cheers
Enjoy your time, awesome video. Take care.
