  • After assembling my Saw-Head Unit and Carriage for my Woodland Mills Bandsaw and have it setting on the rail system I will make most of the final adjustments to the Carriage and Saw Unit to insure my saw cuts Level and Square. These adjustments are needed to cut material to a dimensional size.

Many thanks for the great videos and advice.
I bought Woodland Mills HM126XL Woodlander sawmill with Kohler 14hp. Assembly was easy with good parts and good instructions. I am very satisfied.

Thats a fine saw you have,... with all the shortages we have now with spare parts, you might want to consider ordering some

Good evening, Jeff. Spare parts are a good idea. My buddy like this one so he ordered the saw two weeks ago and it was delivered today. Woodland Mills has no problem keeping up with orders which is a good thing. Thanks for Watching.

The first thing I did when I got it out the crate was take 4 turns off the band. It comes shipped tight to prevent damage, but it's also flattening the wheel covers. I didn't think to disengage the belt, but I don't thinks that's as big an issue.

Hello, removing tension from the blade when not in use will add to the drive belt and blade. Great Idea👍👍
Enjoy your saw and Thanks for Watching

Thank you for showing this video. I am assembling the same model you have ( on trailer) and noticed that adjustable stoppers at the end of each rail don’t align with tracking wheels, I measured diagonally both rails - it was perfect. After viewing your video, I realized that the top head frame wasn’t squared. I loosened all bolts, including the rail wheels, now I am thinking how to align it, because the entire sawmill with cast iron wheels is pretty heavy. It pulled the frame slightly forward that caused misalignment. Any suggestions?

You may try tightening the wheels on the head frame to required torque and then while leaving the rest of the bolts semi loose push the saw head back and forth on the track a few times the head frame should square itself as long as all of the predrilled bolts are in the correct holes, and your track is level and square and the head frame rolls smoothly along the track. As far as the end stoppers on the rails they may not line up perfectly I have about 1/4" variance on mine. I hope this helps Thanks for Watching

@@AskDaddyjoe I did loosen all the bolts and it wasn’t too hard as I thought to square the frame. I readjusted the stoppers and now they are alighted. The only thing I had to adjust - the holes where you slide four pins to prevent the head frame from rolling back and forth during transportation. It became too tight, I had to run a drill bit several times to align the holes.
      Thank you for your help.

Hello, I split the track to a single section and then set them on the trailer to be hauled to the mill location I didn't risk bending the track section lifting as a single unit. Enjoy your mill and
