    I am 63 years “young”, and the first time I scored tickets to a Pink Floyd experience was 7/4/77. To score tickets you had to go to Central Park, to the big lawn, and wait for the Pig blimp to drop “lottery” tickets. If you were lucky enough to get one you could buy up to 4 seats at Madison Square Garden. We did. I was 16. It was an amazing experience and not a concert. Thanks for your great reaction ❤️

    I love David Gilmour's finesse on the guitar. Such smooth but restrained power seems to just float from the strings his fingers manipulate. Almost like a predator that just ate every bite of his meal and looks completely relaxed but in reality is ready for any surprise that requires an immediate response.

There are no words except maybe : over succeeded, musical perfection. And your listening experiences age like wine. Richard Parry (born 22 December 1942) is an English saxophonist. He has appeared as a session musician on various albums, most notably in solo parts on the Pink Floyd songs "Money", "Us and Them", "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" and "Wearing the Inside Out".[1][2] He also played on the Bloodstone album Riddle of the Sphinx.[3]

    The "trumpet" is actually a saxophone.
    He swaps from a bass sax for the lower notes to a tenor sax for the higher notes.
    The keyboard parts are played on a synthesizer.
    Synths have been around since the late 60s and became very popular during the 80s with bands like Depeche Mode, Human League and Gary Numan among many others.
    I had a few myself, a Roland SH09 a Roland Juno 60 and when they went from analogue to digital I got the obligatory Yamaha DX7.
    Think of them as a piano that you can get any sound from including wind, helicopters, explosions etc.
    I've been a multi instrumentalist for over 50 years, so if you have any questions let me know and I'll do my best to fill you in.
    ✌❤🇬🇧

    • @Kristina-jf4hd
      @Kristina-jf4hd 2 місяці тому

      I believe that’s a baritone sax and then either an alto or tenor sax. They look so similar it’s hard to see. My son’s a saxophonist and plays alto for the most part; although he can play all of them.

    • @coot1925
      @coot1925 2 місяці тому

      @@Kristina-jf4hd sax is a very expressive instrument.
      I don't know how old your son is but I hope he keeps going with it.
      I've taught myself 7 different instruments which comes in handy when I'm in studios.
      Wish him luck and good fortune from me.
      Us artistic people are hardwired different and not many people understand how our brains work, including ourselves.

This is 30 years old, the Lightshow was the first that was computerized, anything like this had been unheard of before (and has never been pulled up ever since, at least to my knowledge). If you loved this: check out „Comfortably numb“ (best guitar solo ever played on this planet), „High hopes“ (nostalgia keeps you speechless) or „Great gig in the Sky“, which especially features the 3 backing vocal ladies! And yes, everyone who was lucky to have witnessed this in person tells his grandchildren about it…!

    Best ever ever created Music-Art Song , like Eric Clapton said to a reporter : if you want to interview the best ... you have to talk with David Gilmour . !!!
    and btw like your feel the magic , for me the best Live Performance in their history ... after Echeos ( for me , the very first music-video with weight ) they f.c.ked u.p commercial Music - Industrie at that time .

    Great reaction to a great performance. It seems it makes no (physical) difference if you have 2 hours workout in a gym or just listening to a PF song 😉❤

    Its reminding me of Jewish cantorial prayer singing feeling. The melody style.
