Thank you. You solved our problem. I need my 2003 Camry to last until 2023.
I am happy to help! Thank you for watching.
Camry club! My 2000 is on 210k miles. Just did the timing belt and water pump myself. Hoping to see 300k!
How’s it holding up?
i bet you'll keep it until 2025
It worked! My drivers seat was stuck all the way forward and I couldn't drive that way. Called my brother he said he didn't know without looking. Looked on here found your video and it worked! Thanks so much!
Thanks fixed my 2002 Camry today. You offer a great service with this UA-cam
Awesome! Thank you very much!
Fits perfectly rear-facing in our truck, which has a slightly smaller back seats. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx6_FKRYB2ClSPRyjcd8HptiCS3EiQoNX4 Feels as comfy and plush as our Graco Contender carseat.
Worked exactly as you described. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HELP
Awesome! Good to hear that!😊
UA-cam University professor 👨🏫 thank you for the lesson after the test! Appreciate this! Worked perfectly!
Awesome!
We did it. It worked thank you for sharing this. I went to the shop they had no idea how to fix it. I just thought go on UA-cam and found three videos for my Toyota Camry but they were so long when I saw yours and how quick it would be to fix I was hooked. My car wouldn’t start after I fixed my seat haha. But that’s been happening just need a jump Vac light goes on and off drives me nuts. Anyway thank you.

You should take your car to your local autoparts store and get your battery tested (should be free)
@@ivantheDIYguy thank you. I go to autozone they test it for free. Need a new battery and common sense tells me a tune up is needed. I did subscribe here 🙂
@@maryguadagno9286 good to hear that. Thank you very much!

@@ivantheDIYguy this is what UA-cam is all about. helping other people. Thank you. Now I'm going to go sit in my car with the seat back.lol.
@@larryb5481 exactly, enjoy it👍
Thanks, I got woke up at 6am today in the dark with my short wife having a fit about the seat....
She had to take the truck....
Will fix the car seat once it gets light out....
👍
You are the MAN.....
Glad to help you out. I hope you got it fixed.
Ohh boy I can't wait till I get home and have a go at it! I'm 4'10.5" woman and the seat jammed on me badly. The seat is pushed all the way back and I'm having to stretch my lil legs out! Such a hazard!
Thanks a ton!
THANK YOU, my drivers seat got stuck so bad my legs hit under the dash, can't drive that thing anywhere :( I gotta try and fix it hopefully I can do this and make it work!!
Did you try fixing it?
I had trouble unscrewing the back of the seat so i skipped that step and it still worked.
bruhh you saved my life
Thanks Ivan
Thanks!!!! Gonna try it when today! Those switches can be a bit pricey so I hope this helps! Question. I have a expedition and fixed my door switch by taking it apart and filing the carbon off the contact points. Do you know if this switch can be done that way? Thanks again. Mike
Hey Mike! Sorry for responding so late. I hope you were able to fix it, but about your Expedition honestly I am not sure. Thank you for watching!
@@ivantheDIYguy I seen a couple of video's on the Camry that may fix it. Gonna get a switch for the expedition and see what's inside if it to can has contact points that can be filed down. Thank you for replying! I try to do all my family's vehicles before sending it away and get reamed by some shops
Hey thanks bro it worked.
Ofcourse my man, I am here to help! 👍
Thank you very much ❤❤❤❤
Thanks for your help
Thanks bro
Happy to help!
I used the same method but for the drivers seat
That's why I need it too 🙏🏼
Thank you thank you thank you !!!!!!!!!
I think this is what keeps making my battery die I replaced battery and started and realized my passenger chair was all the way up because I’ve been trying to find info. So I hope this is the issue because I’ve spent about $800 getting all these things replaced. I don’t have anyone who drive with me which makes it strange on why my seat would be pushed up. Anywho I’ll try today
I hope that's the case for you. 👍
Thank you so much 👍🙏
I am here to help!
I'll give it a try hope it works
It should my friend
@@ivantheDIYguydamn it did not
It's stuck in the reclined position the driver's seat😭
@@danielmercado3091 oh man I am sorry to hear that. Try the other side of the chair if you can
my 2003 seat froze on the righthand side after i took it all the way back - removed seat as shown in other related vids and then gave the threaded shaft a few whacks with a hammer on the back of the rod and it popped back in place - works fine now but i will never take the seat all the way back - thx!
I am glad you were able to fix it. If this happens again, definitely use my method, it works like magic lol
How to take the knobs out?
It just pulls out. If you have a hard time use something to pry it out with.
Thank you
How do I take the screw out from behind the seat? Such a weird angle
It is awkward, but you can do it. Go through the back door and lay on the back seat, you'll be able to see it better.
Mine is a manual lever that's stuck what a bummer.
Dear what to do if seat is not going up and down?
Will this work?
I would definitely try it before paying someone to fix it. 👍
What do I do if my seat is stuck all the way down?
I'm assuming this is just a temporary 'fix' to move the seat when the drive no longer works?
No, this should fix it completely. This a very common issue with Toyota, I doubt your drive is dead unless you use it all the time.
@@ivantheDIYguy The motor is not dead, but the wire on the cable in back, on the outer side of the seat is frayed and wrapped around.. The seat will move forward on the inside, but will not move on the outside...so it twists.
@@kwebster62 got you, maybe something got stuck under the seat and got into the wire. I am sorry I can't help you, I would have to see it.
I have the same problem but they’ve told me I need to replace the track. I’m trying to find one online it’s difficult
Have you tried messing around with the screw driver like I did?
@@ivantheDIYguy I haven’t and people I’ve taken it too didn’t do that. I’ll take it again and show them your video see if they will do that I hope so it’s been stressing.
@@youfoundjordyx7172 oh I see.
I wouldn't pay them to do this though. I hope you'll figure it out.
And if it's the driver seat, do you turn the square screw clockwise?
Sorry man, I just noticed your comment. Did you figure it out? Yes, I would turn it clockwise.
I just fiddled with mine right now I turned it both ways and at the same time moved the lever to push it back it worked within 2 second
Man that shit work thanks so much
I am here to help
Will this work on a 2017 toyota camry?
Hi! The concept should be the same. I don't see why you shouldn't try it at least
@@ivantheDIYguy Thanks. Ill try it out and let you know 💯🔥
@@Sameerkhan-em7md alright, cool! Good luck👍
Had anyone done this for the driver side?
It should work the same way
Works on driver side too. Just fixed it using same method. Hope u did too.
Yes, mine was on the driver side and this worked for me. My seat was all the way forward and wouldn't go back. I turned the screw toward the back (clockwise). Once I started turning it, I heard a pop as I turned and the problem was fixed.
@@selagateena awesome! I am happy this video helped you all. Thank you for your response
My issue is that my Camry driver seat is stuck in recline. any idea?
That is not the same, this will only fix the seat if it is working but OFF THE TRACK.....
I just hit the front of the seat while pushing back with the control and it went right back
Didn’t have to take off any screws just don’t crack your plastic haha
Awesome, good to hear it!
Hey Travis how did you do that bro just happened to me I have a flight in the AM SOS
I need driver seat not passagner
Hi! The seats are identical. This process should work for the driver side as well!
@@ivantheDIYguy actually they’re not I have a 2002 Toyota Camry and the passenger side. It doesn’t even have a motor for it for the seat. It has lever that you pull from underneath to pull it forward. The driver side is the only one that has a motor and I tried to do it and it still not moving forward.
@shaniceefulable, it seems you have a different trim, likely an LE. In the video, the car is a 2002 Camry XLE, which has motors on both the passenger and driver sides. If your driver’s side has a motor, it should operate the same way as shown in the video. If not, I apologize for any confusion.
Great video...how to deal with stupid Toyota engineering! Hard to believe that American cars are worse.
