Awesome video Neal! This is a must have for any radio control enthusiast! I knew I had to have one a decade ago when Jang @ URC raved over the ken block version. After owning one I understand why this gem is so special.
Thanks for another great video of the HPI WR8 Flux. I love mine too! For info, that rough sound from your drive train is not right and is easily fixed. Go grab yourself a pack of HPI6819. They are tiny orange o-rings, sold in packs of 5. Put an extra one into the drive cup in the rear of the center diff (pressing on the head of the drive shaft going to the rear diff). You may also want one in the front cup too. Add a little dab of lithium grease to reduce the friction. Adding them will shut up that annoying rattly drive train. I promise you'll be glad you did it. Mine is so much more of a pleasure to drive since I added them. Best 3 bucks you'll spend on your WR8, I guarantee you.
@Great Lakes RC In all the years of owning a WR8 I never took them off-road. I got to do this more just need to find locations with some light ruts in it.
@Corndog Oh I got something coming for the wheels. Keith from Bulletproof RC put me on to something and I got to say one of the best accessories for this car.
Awesome video, bro! I also like rally cars, so I often take videos! That's great, WR8 Flux. Unfortunately, there are no HPI importers in Korea anymore, so I can't buy it.
I have this one and love it. Can you tell me please what makes it sounds so different (so angry and mechanicaly) then other cars? I have over 15 cars and none of them sounds like wr8 flux. ❤
This car looks like a great in between road and buggy racing. Does the chassis fit any other shells that you know of? I’m not a huge fan of that Subaru design. Thanks
@SXIXLXNX That's the downside. If you could find the old Ford Fiesta shells that was the only other option but I wish they would have some options for this.
I myself have bought x2 HPI WR8 FLUX 3 BRUSHLESS SUBARU's, x2 of the HPI MAVERICK STRADA RX BRUSHLESS, x2 of the HoBao HYPER GT's, x2 KYOSHO fazer mk2 VE 1969 chevrolet camaro Z28's, x2 1/16 scale UDI RC RALLY F PRO's, and a few other 1/24 & 1/16 scale RC rally & touring car models, eg CARISMA GT24's ( modified with larger battery's ), and ABISMA & ZD RACING 1/16 RC models.
@Ian john Horwood Sounds like you are a big Rally enthusiast like myself. I did a Ofna GTP2 Rally build a few years back, great project. Currently working on something now. Hopefully should be done with that one soon😊
They are always changing their links. Try Hobby Recreation Products, www.hobbyrecreationproducts.com. Strong chance this is out of stock though. Hard RC to keep in stock. Sells out fast. But I am no way affiliated with either OMG RC or HRP. I'm just a consumer😊
They cost 700 CHF here in Switzerland!! Thankfully I grabbed mine secondhand for 300 CHF and it had not been run once. It was still in the box without a spec of dirt or worn tyres (something I later realised only takes 30 seconds!!). What a bargain!! Seriously though, they are not cheap here in Europe, but worth every penny! If you have the funds, just buy it. Totally worth it.

@Bulletproof RC Keith you said it best man! Jang sold me on my Ken Block one and when HPI re-released this, I ran not walked to get it.
Awesome Brother! Luv the WR8! 3s sounds killer! Sweet spot!😎🤙🏽🔥🔥🔥
@TheDuke's RC Thanks man! The WR8 is a blast. Always fun to get this beast out👍🔥💪
Watching you trying to hiy hit that ramp perfect was madness lol
@SIRICKO I guess that's the madness, nothing has to be perfect😆

@siggy101 Thanks for the tip. I never noticed it since my gen1 sounds the same. Makes it sound angry😊
@@ReadySetRC I thought the same until I fixed it. Then I realised that it's far more badass when it's smooth AF.
This race track is really nice. Actually WR8 is also a very good set up rally car and thanks for the video.
@aketch Thank you👍 I appreciate you watching.
So COOL thanks for posting SIR. 🇬🇧🇺🇲🕊️✌🏼🤩🤙🏼
@MIKE BIRD Thank you👍
What a rip 😎💯 sounds like there’s an angry system powering this beast🔥🔥🔥
@just P. X Got to love that chainsaw sound💪💯
That looked like a blast!!
@Great Lakes RC In all the years of owning a WR8 I never took them off-road. I got to do this more just need to find locations with some light ruts in it.
This is very tempting to get. Thanks for sharing!
@RC Jono You are welcome👍
awesome rc and cool run
@Island RC -Duke Thanks Duke👍 Enjoy the weekend.
looking at this beast i just think, how on earth was the arma infraction considered revolutionary when this beast already existed years prior
@_blood_moon_proto_1500 Yup!
Yessssir! Getting it in 💪🏾💯
@CoachD RC Sideways😆💪💯
Awesome video bro 👍🏾💪🏾💯
@Linden Rc 215 Thanks man💪💯
Love mine. Put some 85mm Hoons and run it on 4s. I love that HPI is making a comeback!
@Corndog Oh I got something coming for the wheels. Keith from Bulletproof RC put me on to something and I got to say one of the best accessories for this car.
@@ReadySetRC Indulge me!
@@Corhndog It's coming
did you have to change anything to run it on 4S ? .
@@ianjohnhorwood2605 I’m running a full Traxxas 4s system out of my Maxx.

@REPLAY RC Thank you! That's a hard one. I would hate to not be able to own one of these.

@SvkFill I think it's a combination of that gearing with the shell and the fluid in the diffs. One beautiful sounds🥰

@@ReadySetRC how do you think they compare to the TT02 chassis? Thanks again
@@sxixlxnx I don't own a TT02 but I do own a TT01. Night and day. This is an MT chassis, the Bullet series. Super tough and easy to work on.

i wonder how this compares to the Rlaarlo XTS rally car
@burmesebeef IMO this is the king of RTR rally cars. Let's see how the XTS stacks up.

How much you paid for this? Local RC -dealer is asking 698 Eur of that..!?
@Ipperu RC That is a serious mark up. I paid 499.99 US from OMG RC. Not sure if he still has this available. That was over a year ago.
@@ReadySetRC that was reasonable price.
