Great take, I sampled these last November and have wondered what your impressions would be. Mine mirrored yours right here. Ma Bete you said it 'Warm Skin, Exhausted, spent' you could have gone further but it's best to leave those images in your own mind. For me yes it evokes those thoughts and I can't help but have a wry smile. It will be a future purchase for those reasons alone. I do feel they sit quite closely to what I already have, so it's a choice of does it add anything. Ma Bete for me sits close to Salome(PAP)and Under my skin(FBP). I really came way of this house by Galen's video interview on Ambergris, there was a comment on Mxxx which intrigued me. Mxxx although nice didn't push anything I have already aside and I felt that with the rest. However..... the Mxxx being an extrait was only a 1ml sample, I feel I do need repeated wears before making my mind up. As for Green Spell I grow tomatoes, I love tomatoes but I don't necessarily want to smell like one. It's all subjective and as the saying goes one man's cup of tea/ tomato.....well you know. Good overview. Green Spell really got me hooked. I ordered the sample set and immediately bought a bottle of Green Spell. It doesn’t last long on my skin either, but I enjoy it so much that I don’t mind too much. Mxxx is my favorite…I find it comforting, smooth, and pure loveliness. I was not to try Scorpio Rising, but the notes scare me…will soon face that fear.

Great overview Pep. I have been sampling these on and off since October, but now I am keeping some to try during the cooler months. My favourite is Mxxx. I honestly thought Green Spell would be the one, however I am lucky if it lasts one to two hours on my skin and I do want at least three to four hours wear time if I am spending more money on a fragrance, just one of my quirks. In saying that, I do like it. There were aspects of it which reminded me a little of Elephant from Zoologist. I also enjoyed Night Flower and Mx. Ma Bete was a little challenging, but I haven’t given up and I found Belle de Jour was an orange blossom/jasmine combo that works on my skin, most don’t, but this was just nicely balanced for me. Overall, I have enjoyed sampling these💛
Pep, crazy timing! Just yesterday I went to scent bar nyc and tried most of these and like you, Ma Bete was my clear favorite. It reminded me a lot of Bogue Maai but richer and better to my nose. Of the 15 perfumes I tried Ma Bete and Grimoire by Anatole Lenreron are now on my wish list. Have you tried Grimoire? It’s an amazing witchy and bewitching scent with olibanum and cumin. I think you’d love it.

Ah nice review :) I love Green Spell but thats cause I love the bitter greens and just got Night Flower, which reminds me of Musc Ravaguer, Shalimar & Le Lion but more slinky. Need to spend some time with the Mxs and Belle is my least fave cause like you I don't enjoy that sea note. (calone is gross)
The only one I've tried is Green Spell, which I thought was okay. They gave me a sample in my order from Luckyscent. I also found that it did not last very long on my skin. I'm curious to try Ma Bete now. I'm going through a musky scent phase and it's warming up here in the California desert. I'd like to see how it works on me...Thanks
Interesting review...but I'm really shocked you didn't like Green Spell, it has a beautiful airy aura and drys down into clean woods...I would apply more product and check it out again...I'm a huge fan of Eris Parfums, so honestly I was a little disappointed by your seemingly underwhelming review, as all the Parfums need to be worn big and multiple times to full understand...I'm sorry you didn't get Scorpio Rising...it's super fun and spicy, but I'm scared you won't like that one either, now. Everyone is different, I get it, but I hope you'll get your nose on SR...Eris is a House to watch...it's not just how the parfum smells, it's also the way it sits on the skin that makes it so special. Green Spell and Scorpio Rising sit similarly on the skin in terms of projection and form, yet smell completely different. I was hoping you'd would have taked about Mxxx a bit more because its so dense compared to some of the others Eris offerings and the 7% ambergris gives it much of it's character. I hope you'll give these another shot and review again down the road...Cheers!

I’m going through a musk phase too. I love the note…from the cheapest to pretty pricey…haven’t found one I’m not into.
