About me - I'm Claire and I live in the UK. My taste in perfumes is usually quite sweet but not too sweet, I love white florals but not tuberose so much. I like gourmands as long as they smell like perfumes still, I require my perfumes to change a little bit as I wear them ie not linear. I don't enjoy oud, leather, cumin, saffron or strong patchouli however there can be occasions where I do like perfumes with these notes if they are not too dominant. I enjoy most florals as long as they are backed up with something sweet or perhaps resins / insense. I tend to not enjoy anything very soapy. I also don't really enjoy very green fragrances. I am averse to overdoses of ambroxan and iso E super (timbersilk or similar) just because I find it annoying! I have no problem with synthetics in perfumery but I do enjoy perfumes that have some notes that at least smell like they could be from nature. My favourite type of perfumery is indie and I love Francesca Bianchi, Teone Reinthal, 4160 Tuesdays and Papillon Artisan Perfumes.

That was outstanding. You have the ability when describing fragrances, to paint a picture. After listening to you, I am always left feeling that I have an in-depth idea of what that fragrance smells like. That is a very rare quality for a UA-cam reviewer. I have never smelled one of Barbara's perfumes, but they have always held an interest for me. Your thoughts on the ones you liked would be greatly appreciated.

I felt the same about Poudrextase... the contrast of the powder with the animalics intrigued me at first, but then yeah the animal overtook and it was too much.
Really enjoyed this, I really love hearing your first thoughts on scents, and I was very curious about Eris
Thanks Em, yes that was a funny one, I loved the powdery boudoir nature of it but it quickly turned very dirty.
Thanks for your first impressions of some of the Eris fragrances. I saw Rich's sampling video. It's interesting to see what different people get from smelling fragrances and what their tastes reflect in the thoughts on the fragrances. Thanks Jenn, I watched Rich’s videos yesterday and it was so interesting to see how different our tastes are and also how I found these so different to him and the note listings, MX for example it was weird how sweet it was to me but after filming I realised it wasn’t sweet at all, more woody.
I’m quite keen on Tis Parfumes. Green Spell is my jam. It doesn’t last long on my skin, but I love it. Mxxx is also my favorite for completely different reasons. It’s a comfort scent for me. Cheers to you!
I tried MXXX on skin after filming and found it so much more interesting, that smokey, wood dark chocolate with just a tiny hint of sweetness is quite delightful.
If you haven't already, you absolutely MUST read the review of Mxxx on Fragrantica. Absolutely the best review I've ever read. 🤣

I loved hearing your thoughts on these! Night Flower is a love for me and I'm planning to buy it soon! I would also like to own Mx and maybe Green Spell at some point. I agree with you re Ma Bete and Scorpio Rising! I haven't tried Mxxx as it's the only non vegan one and I didn't get Belle de Jour as I thought it would be too salty / aquatic for me but based on your description I think I will try it! xx
I have Night Flower and Mxxx. Night Flower gives me a cinnamony shalimar vibe. Mxxx was one I sprayed on my hand when leaving a perfume shop. I kept sniffing my hand when I got in the car and had to go back immediately and buy it. I never do that!

I don't blame you, Ma Bete is the first animalic perfume which has struck me as sexy. It does magic on the skin! Hope you're enjoying your bottle by now!
I find Mxxx and Belle Âme have similarities. I forget for Mx is. I think just less Ambergris?
These perfumes change on skin. I’ve never smelled anything like Mxxx. Has an animalic thing about it - I guess the ambergris. Once in a while I strangely get a smell and texture of cigarette ash!
I can totally see that cigarette ash feel!
