Modding an exosuit to max with artifacts and armor plates, although very costly, ends up making you nearly invincible to whatever you're focusing your build towards. Might do another video soon with a lightweight ghillie suit and some suppressed mosin for them sneaky beaky vibes :) Enjoy!

Glad to see you took my advice and suppressed your weapons. Also, if you want max stats, Compass, Full Empty, and two Volat Emeralds will slam everything over 100% and make you very, very hard to kill.
all of the "secret" factions are: renegades, sin, UNISG and zombie. To play as renegade you write "renegade at the new game screen. For sin you write "greh". for UNISG it's "isg" and for zombie you press z

Btw, in the stalker books izloms (the ones with long hand) are described as intelligent mutants that can speak and lure stalkers into some kind of traps or even help someone. There are so much lore in the stalker books, you can’t even imagine how deep this universe is: from veteran stalker who uses only glass and ebonite knives, because he believes that metals attract anomalies, to guys building vehicle out of BTR-80 and MI-8 cockpit. I got around a fifty or more stalker books back in my old place, and i love almost all of them. I collected them since 2008. They are all in Russian, but I hope you guys will have translations soon because of all of this hype around stalker universe.

You should do another ironman playthrough. Start as a merc with the hardest difficulty. Maybe have a couple life granters enabled just in case.
You don't know real pain until you play iron man bandit hardest difficulty.

To much random on ironman. Even a zombie can kill you in a couple of hits.
@@f1am3d especially now with the stunlock mod, if you get hit once by a mutant your mobility drops by 50%, get hit again within a short window of that and it drops by another 25%, get hit again and it drops by another 15%, in only 3 swipes in quick succession your mobility has droped 90%. if you dont have an automatic pistol/smg/rifle to mag dump on them by this point you may as well consign your soul to heaven because theres no escaping.
they are actively tweaking this mod regularly to rebalance it (11th balance patch since 0.9.1 came out just over a week ago) but i really hope they also add meds that increase resistance to it or something. in ironman its incredibly punishing and you really reeaally need to have headphones on and at 100% volume with zero distractions to survive.

As a person who is born in Ukraine, the scenery looks incredibly same as actual Ukraine when it rains.
It hits different now, as there is war, and buildings are similarly abandoned now.
It's sad times, but devs did incredible job designing something that looks so much like the real Ukraine.
from what ive heard most of the places are designed after their real life counterparts , the devs actually took trips to pripyat in order create the world in the game , thats an incredible level of dedication

As for Izlom mutant btw, lore goes deeper than that - in the original - they were supposed to talk and behave like humans. And when the player'd come closer - they could attack from under their rags with that mutated hand.
Could, but not for sure would. They're portrayed like intelligent creatures. Pretty much humans.

@@MonkeyOWar anomaly is a standalone mod for Stalker call of prypiat. Gamma is a mod pack for anomaly. I think the biggest difference is that gamma is much harder and more grindy game. Also you can't buy/sell weapons or suits which is not really realistic but it slows the game it makes it much harder and also more rng

I'd go with GAMMA personally, much more depth to the game mechanics.

When you stepped into the ambient water/scenery, it reminded me of my time in the military where I had some waterproofing on my boots... And then , after 10 or some seconds, that cold that signifies water infiltration, wet feet and all kinds of possible nastiness down there. Fuck wet feet, especially on a 15+ mile trek. Very good vid, it actually immersed me.

You got me back into playing Gamma again. Love the vids on Gamma. Im currently running with a P90 SMG, Upgraded Kar98, and have a Glock 19 with MercAce armor.

Nice. The environmental and weather graphical/lighting mods in here are SUPERB. It looks extremely realistic the way natural light plays around with shadows and reflections. Too many modern games the graphics and lighting just look somehow...flat. It's kind of hard to pin down but the difference is immense. Just a pity in Stalker about the textures on buildings and other surfaces but no doubt Grok and the texture modders are well aware of that.

As someone who has followed the original STALKER games since the original's development hell back in the early 2000s, has beaten SHoC and CoP multiple times each, and has become rather jaded with modern gaming, stumbling across your Gamma video a few weeks back was a clear sign that I needed to hop back into STALKER again. And boy am I glad I did. It's everything I wish modern shooters (and games in general) should be. Tons of player agency, no hand-holding, no spammy microtransactions all over the place or battle passes - just immersive, dynamic gameplay. No game does it like STALKER to this day, and I'm incredibly impressed with how far the community has taken it since my last journey through the Zone probably 5ish years ago. This is the STALKER experience I remember craving back when I was following the original's development and had to watch as a bunch of the planned features had to get cut or paired back. It's all here now and it's every bit as good, if not better, than I could've imagined.

the town is mount airy not far from where I live I’ve been through it they actually have old school police cars in town too. andy griffith was a great show and accurate to small town vibes in north carolina
The other day i went to deactivate the Brain Scorcher, and when i had to get out i was out of ammo, all i got left was an SMG with 9x19 AP ammo, and it did NOTHING to the exoesqueleton Monolith down there. That is so cool

fun fact:
you can cross pripyat into outskirts and vice versa without firing a single bullet if you keep to the map borders and use cover effectively.
going through the center on the other hand puts you right in line of the monolith hq and through most of their forces.

I would love to see a max difficulty long play series, I know there can be boring bits at times between missions/fights, but seeing you go from nothing to having this exo-suit and flighting to collect the parts for those guns would be fantastic. I loved the iron man play thru, and I want to see a lot more of Stalker.

I just love how Drewski started out Stalker as a rookie and now has become a veteran of the zone. Any long time stalker player knows that feeling.
You get get a stalker out of the zone, but the zone will never leave a stalker.

The town that 'The Andy Griffith Show' was based on is Mayberry. I actually live in the town that Mayberry is based off of. That being Mt. Airy, NC. There's a whole festival in the fall called "Mayberry Days" that revolves around showing off Main Street which is where a lot of the show's sets were based on. There are lots of places named for characters in the show around Mt. Airy. Aunt Bea's Barbecue, Barney's Cafe, The Andy Griffith Playhouse, Opie's Candystore, etc.

You can actually get up the Vine Anomaly in outskirts - it leads to a neat hideout one one of the top floors that has acess to the rooftop.

Im quite new to stalker, im about half way through the first game playing through the trilogy before stalker 2 but looove the newer look to Anomaly and gamma, Ive been using the mod that adds mags for your guns as separate things you need to load (like dayz etc) its harder but it feels so gooood

@@souldanny. There was a team working on coop for stalker. Last time i checked they were doing stuff like working on food eating animations and stuff. Funnily enough the scuffed bethesda engine is surprisingly easy to mod compared to some other engines. I never worked with XRay so I have no clue.

Not going to lie was looking forward of playthrough episode as Gamma is always engaging in many different ways, with your editing it would been lovely but i guess this will do for now
Love the new gameplay! Just a tad bit of words, UNISG arent like monoliths, could be often misleading due to their arctic like camo but theyre actually some sort of NATO spec ops group with a mission to retrieve intel about the zone with help from local Mercs.
Theres a part of the lore where it was told they were sent in the zone due to Britland experiencing emissions for the first time and due to growing concerns they have to send in their guys to learn whats going out there.
I can’t remember which mod it was, but I remember using a custom crosshairs mod and basically it had a lot of custom options, I made it a split dot that only appeared when aiming down sights, but I made the cross hair size so big that it only appeared on the peripherals of the screen. It was the coolest effect ever. You aim at sometime enemy and your peripheral vision turns slightly red, aim at a friend, it turns slightly green…I miss that. Learned from someone on the EFP discord.

UNISG is an UN supported Faction in the deeper Lore of Stalker, only seen in Anomaly I believe. They supposedly are gathering information about the Zone secretly. To play them, you complete the last quest in Anomaly called Operation Afterglow. Or type UNISG in the first menu of anomaly, then enter into character creation, they should show up in faction selection. Sin and renegades are the same, but have their own typing unlocks. Of course, one could always set their faction to TRUE in the config folder.
Ma dude, you can climb the Vine anomaly all the way up to top floor of that building, and there's one of the apartments open, and it gives pretty good view of the riverboat station
My birthday is today, im finally old enough to drive, also at the beginning with that psuedogiant, it reminded me of when I started a new monolith save it spawned me in the outskirts so when I loaded into the building in pripyat I immediately ran into one, and thats also how I learned those fuckers can climb stairs
If you're gonna try a ghillie run IMO a supressed semi-auto shotty/sniper combo is really fun. Once you get a Saiga or spas12 you can just craft regular slugs and drop exo stalkers at like 100m in 1-2 shots. It's a really good combo because they can cover that middle range where you wouldnt want to use sniper ammo. I did that for my entire CoP misery mod run which was even harder than gamma but way more complicated to play. It's a dirty combo I think you'd really enjoy.

One of my favorite playthroughs has been my Monolith playthrough, to be honest. 90% of your missions are helping Sin or clearing out other factions from key territory. It's pretty fun and unique compared to the standard Stalker experience, and I recommend it!

That 338 Lapua takes a Deer Hunter kit and it's pretty dope. Headshots kill any humanoids in one tap, and most mutants, save for big boys like Chimera and Psuedogiants. Even then it takes a few shots. Pretty sure I sniped a chimera in three shots with my deer hunter rifle. I picked up a strayer infinity from a monolith too, which is a suppressed colt 45 that holds 15 rounds. Hydroshock too, makes it a beast. I'm also using a M4 with a suppressor, Eotech, and an M203 on underbarrel and finally a suppressed P90 with a red dot. Basically my monolith fighting set up. Though I'm using a spartan helmet with a UNSIG Exo. Can't remember the name of it but it's a exosuit that has 5 belt slots, and im pretty sure I found it on a Clear Sky guy. The beauty of the P90 is that it fits in your pistol slots, melee and vision. The MP7 fits them too, and its the only two submachine guns I've found that fit.
I also play this on a laptop, with no fancy upgrades or anything. It actually has integrated graphics on my laptop. It's playable but I've had a few crashes.
