    2nd gear wheelie, then you have been doing pretty well. I have the same bike, not very well doing wheelie in 2nd gear. Thanks for your video, I will also practice more and more. Hope to see you post more videos.

      I'd say it's all about clutch and rear brake control. Don't hesitate to slip the clutch at low speed to feather throttle inputs. practice, practice, practice!

      @@MeansDaddy it is all about turning your head and looking where you want the bike to go, rear brake control, throttle and clutch control (get comfortable letting the clutch out just slightly when you feel like the bike is going to fall over during low speed maneuvering), and body position. Check out this video and all the videos from this channel are great he teaches u how to do exercises to practice everything on a bike.

    Im have a Z900 too and I just started practicing this week, I look just like you do here lol. My biggest problem is the fear of looping it, so I either dont give it enough throttle or give it enough but instantly panic and let off when I feel the bike rising up fast. I will take my time practicing this tho I dont want to rush it cause its my commuter bike and I dont want to crash it

    • @petr0rabbit
      @petr0rabbit  5 місяців тому +1

      well you have to have that fear because it is a possibility. I've had 2 or 3 pop gone wrong 😅 make sure you cover that rear brake and you squeeze the bike with your thighs you don't want to get thrown off or losing grip. take your time to get comfortable. Ill try to put more videos this year if I have more time to ride and actually have something interesting.
      take care

    you need to rev wayyy higher and actually stay in the gas until you’re up. then get off the gas a little.
    preload the rear brake before you pop it up to keep it fresh in your mind

    • @petr0rabbit

      I can get it in the whole 2nd gear now with more control but still rather low since I need a lot of throttle to maintain it, but Ill get there, I need to try it again and again. Thanks for watching.

    The way i learned long wheelies was give it way more gas than needed then use the brake to slow down how fast it comes up then you can ease yours into the balance point. It also saves you from slamming the brake on accident.

      I'm more comfortable and can easily do the 2nd and 3rd gear now but I'm still scared of going to far back so I'm still chasing but a lot less. lots improvement since this video. I just tried my first wheelies ever with my new Z900. No chance in second gear for me, in first I was able to lift it for a few centimeters. I was riding at ~20 kmh pulled cloth, went to 8k RPM and released. Honestly I thought it would be easier.

      it took me time to figure it but it's easy in 2nd. you can snap the throttle a bit too at the same time. I posted these a couple days ago instagram.com/p/CUeHTXJLL28/

    • @petr0rabbit
      @petr0rabbit  5 років тому +5

      as you can see i'm not the best and i,m working on getting comfortable at these height before trying to go near the balance point. Bu basically if you can'T hold it it mean you're not giving it enough throttle. The lower the front end lift the more throttle you need to keep it there, and vice versa. Remember that if you're trying to go anywhere near balance point you need your feet on rear brake as this will be the only option if you throttle it a bit too much backward. Start slow, practice and go from there

      petrorabbit I believe because it’s a 900 and one of the more torquey bikes. You are doing well but it’s a quick bike to loop if not careful. 900cc learning wheelies is a big one. But it’s good you can getting low wheelies then too high! Sure you are doing way better now
