I had the pleasure to use this amazing service for 19 years and 1427 rentals... You guys have no idea the nostalgia I have right now... So many memories... Hundreds of nights of entertainment and happiness... Those red envelopes in the mail will be missed... Thank you Netflix for making me happy for 19 good years!!!❤
When I lived in a rural area, no reliable internet (dial-up people, dial-up) and cable tv did not come to the country, and it was a pain to drive into town to eat up the gas... there was Netflix DVD service. A steady stream of movies to brighten my day. Thank you and I will miss those red envelopes.
Actually, streaming services typically provide lower quality video compared to Blu Ray discs, even if the service has 4K. This is because Blu Rays have much higher bitrate compared to online services.
Thank you for all the years of entertainment. I miss you already. Good luck to all of the employees. I am sure that the faux Netflix, the streaming side, will offer all of you good jobs - Not. Anyway, we Netflix subscribers really appreciate the fine work that you did.
@@classicmoviesforeverplease a lottery? Were they not sent out to everyone? I understand a lot of people may want the same disc but they could go down the queue and send the next available like they always did?
Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. Im a fan of buying dvds i liked from the netflix movies i enjoyed, but searching and buying movie/ show series to "take a chance on" is tougher, even finding complete movie series on streaming. I feel you guys had to raise prices on streaming (again) to make up for the dvd subscribers you just gave up
No, unfortunately, while there was certainly a time where DVD Netflix was supporting streaming and super profitable, in the end, it became more trouble than it was worth. They had over 30 Netflix Distribution Centers at one point, but at the end were down to just a few. All that overhead didn't make sense for the less than a million people still subscribing. I say this with love, as I was still a subscriber since 2004.
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I've gotten 3 discs at a time since 2007. How do I go to no Red Envelopes now?! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Thank You for always giving me something to look forward too. Literally thousands of discs have come to my home that I would have never seen otherwise. Thank You isn't an adequate expression of gratitude, but it is all I have. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Would have been fun to see the very last DVD ever sent getting mailed.
They do have a photo of a little boy putting it in the mailbox.
DVD Infobox is a good replacement imo and had some stuff DVD Netflix didn't.

I hope a video format comes out that is too much data to stream. :)

Has anybody gotten their last 10 bonus discs yet?

@@classicmoviesforeverplease Did you get an email to opt-in?
@@classicmoviesforeverpleaseI never saw how to opt-in
I got one bonus disc plus the one on my subscription.
I'm more than happy with that as I only rented about five discs over the past year.
