He shot the oxygen tank, so that Jun Ho would hear it. He held his men back from outright killing Jun Ho when they cornered him, and still even after Jun Ho shot him. Still offering to take him in alive all throughout, shooting him in the shoulder (he had never miss a headshot every time before) and letting him fall was the only way left that he could save his brother at that point. Jun Ho is still alive, but probably his efforts to bust the organization failed, or is stalled because he's still in recovery or something.
@@lovebl6728 A cool fact about In-Ho as it appears on his 2015 Player Profile in Korean but wasn't translated into english text is that under his occupation he was a Police Officer too but he was let go from the force for accepting bribes. Which makes the two brothers mirrors of each other. Due to him giving his younger brother one of his kidneys each brother has one kidney on the opposite side of their bodies; both brothers shot each other in the opposite shoulder from one another; and In-Ho was a corrupt police officer while Jun-Ho is a honest police officer.
In-ho’s not the one behind the game. Remember, he was a participant and winner in 2015, so he was probably put in his position after that. His title “the front man” is also a hint to this, since the term is used for someone who serves as the figurehead to hide the real people in charge
Didn't see Jun Ho outright die so I will hunker down on the hill of 'he's alive and his brother deliberately only wounded him and hoped he'd make it'. Until season 2 crushes that hope, I will believe it, cause his character was so cool it would be a shame to not have him back for another season.
That doesn't make it less of a fact, the winners list for which is just one in a long line of evidence throughout the show. The whole structure and ordering of the games are engineered to that end and still the knives after the meal were used only as a small course correction. They only leave it unspoken because it would demoralise people. They need them hopeful for a good show.
@@PinnacleNL If multiple players some how made it past 6 games, even when the organizers were actively trying to get one winner, they would have to acknowledge it. As we’ve seen in the show they do honor their word when the players challenge them on it.
@@Retrovorious Agreed. Maybe they get really lucky on the bridge and six people get across (for argument's sake). Then (assuming they don't kill each other in the night) they play squid game with teams of three; three die and three win.
shot in shoulder, fell into water, didn't bother finding the body - pretty much the playbook of this-guy-survives. I liked that In Ho tried his best to save his brother, after he figured out it was him. He shot the oxygen tank so that Jun Ho would hear it. Held his men back from simply killing Jun Ho on sight, even after he shot him. Still offered to take him in alive after all that. He never missed a headshot prior, clipped Jun Ho in the shoulder, and let him fall into water. It was the only way his brother was gonna walk away alive.
This episode pointed out to me that the line drawings on the wall were depicting the games they've been playing. What’re the odds that Sung-woo saw them and figured it out, and that's how he's been winning this whole time?
His brother is one of the organizer. I really doubt he fund the game. His brother was also one of the past game's winner. He probably got the job after winning the game.
@@killinglonliness88 I'd say that him shooting his brother most likely saved his brother's life (and his own?). Better his brother shooting him than someone else.
It also occurs to me that Sae-byok knew Sung-woo would go after her as the weaker of the two, and said "I want to go home" knowing Gi-hun would go to try and get help so he wouldn't have to watch her die.
I don't think the detective is dead. He was shot in the shoulder. Why not in the heart or the head as is the case with eliminated contestants? I think the front man has a boss over him and so he is forced to shoot the detective, but he shot him in a way so as to make it possible for him to live. Presumably he could survive the fall off the cliff into water below and somehow make it back to the mainland - maybe get picked up by a fishing boat not far off the island. I think the creator of the show did it this way to set up the possibility of the detective coming back with the police in a possible second season.
everyone gets on sung woo or whatever his name is for pushing that guy in this episode, but very likely all of them would have died if he didn't do that. they literally made it at the last second, so that guy stalling just a few more seconds would have been the death of all of them.
