I find it interesting that people hate Sang-Woo for manipulating Ali, but Gi-Hun did the same thing to Il-Nam, but nobody blames him. To me it's more about the rules of the game (read: society/culture) that drove them to do this. Sang-Woo was capable of being a good person, but when society actively rewards you for being selfish/cutthroat, you learn to quickly abandon others. The only difference beween Sang-Woo and Gi-Hun is Gi-Hun is a more innocent personality.
There is one big difference, Il Nam was only in the game because Gi Hun chose him and Gi Hun only cheated when he thought Il Nam had dementia which is a death sentence anyway. So he was kind of trading his life for one that was going to end soon anyway. And im sure most old people would gladly die rather than a younger person.
Also Gi-Hun felt bad for the old dude While I’m sure Sang-woo felt some sort of guilt Gi-Hun was the one who actually cried and showed his remorse to the old man Showing that he was indeed a good person deep down

In catholic church is common to make coffession to the priest to clear off the sins which someone made. Then you will realise that Ji-yeong (player nr. 240) made her last confession to Kang Sae-byeok (player nr. 067). So she could rid of all the agony and despair that was inside her soul. Sae-byeok took the role of priest in that moment when Ji-yeong told her about her tragedy past. So she could die in peace. So you can interpret it as Ji-yeong found her way back to her belief and religion that means she found her way back to god. Or you can interpret as in general it is easier to die when you know someone heard your story and stand by you till the very end.
Hey guess what? the whole gang of you here are a lot of fun people to watch movies with. I feel your reactions to emotions, excitements and frustrations. Bravo! hope to see more of the same team reacting to other movies.
Yes, I was thinking the same. They set up a brilliant comparison there between the two. I think they make us sympathise more with Gi-Hun because, unlike Sang-Woo, he clearly feels bad about his deception. And in the end, Il-Nam kind of forgives him for it. So even though he lied, we feel he really had no other choice, and at least tried to make it as painless as possible. With Sang-Woo, we see no remorse. It feels like he went out of his way to construct a fake scenario so he could weasel his way out of the original game. This cuts especially deep, because we all love Ali
@@lyssatiny102 I also think it’s cuz the old man is more dispensable than Ali is as he already has a brain tumour and was expected to die from the start
People make room for emotion and often ignore reason. In a game like this where defeat means death, these two characters did really well. We're talking about fucking survival, it's not about going home if you lose. This is precisely what the game tries to convey, there are times in life when it was necessary to know how to compromise. Ali was too naive a character and this led him to his downfall. The lesson to be learned is not to be so stupid. I can't even blame Sang Woo on this level, he was just more strategic for his own survival.
I think it’s because for me, you could see how much it was eating him alive. In the beginning of the series, Gi Hun was pretty thoughtless and didn’t really give much thought to others because of impulsive and selfish he was. Now he’s a completely different person who has somehow regained a lot of the humanity he’s lost in the real world in the horror and violence of the games. Whereas Sang Woo slowly gives away his humanity and slowly gives into the darkness and greed that has always been inside of him. It’s always been a parallel between Gi Hun and Sang Woo and the difference of opinion on how to survive a gigantic death game like this by either playing smart or playing by morality.
@@sophieamandaleitontoomey9343 Your analysis would have been interesting and relevant if the money won concerned only him, which is not the case in fact. We cannot therefore say without qualifying that he is driven only by greed in him, there is also the intrinsic desire to repair his mistakes at all costs (in particular the case of his mother). So you have to qualify your words.

Everyone is calling Sang-Woo a piece of 💩 but in all honesty it's survival of the fittest and he followed the rules unfortunately an innocent person suffered for it.
Dope editing bruv...by the way 👌
found the psychopath :)
Welp, that's the real world right there, and when backed into a corner yo real self appears, doesn't matter if you have a family to come back to or you only care about your self at the end of the day it's every man to himself, unless you're some selfless person which is rare in this real world oof!
@@uhohDavinci 😭😭 but I ain't lying tho...most people will be all "I got your back" until their neck is on the line
@@oba-1kenobi that's truth. It's just sad. He knew he could manipulate Ali because Ali was naïve af. Scary what people would do when their lives is on the line.
@@patrick7142 In this case, the reactors are hypocrites, that's all
This was a great episode.
You also deserve credit for this brilliant edit.
This is everything I didn’t know I needed
Indeed
Beautifully edited. Man this must have taken alot of work!
It annoys me how some are so unaware and ignorant of the provided information the last 5 episodes. Some seem to understand. But a few give the feel that they don’t understand what they’re watching
en un capitulo se cargaron a un monton de personajes con los que nos encariñamos, aun sabiendo el final del anciano este capitulo fue para matarnos de puro llorar
i watched this episode and god damn i couldn't stop crying
LMAO, best part was in the beginning when all you watching had NO IDEA what's going to happen to the team..LOL.
this episode will always make me cry even though i’ve already seen this like 1000 times 😢
O. M. G!!!!! All the emotions. Love ❤ LOVE the editing. Its shows that we are all still human in a very dark world. No wonder it was picked up for season 2.
i remeber this chapter clearly, this is what set this show appart, you already know you are loosing half of your fav chracters in one go......... you are just waiting to see which are going to......
"Remember this is all fiction, ok?". I'm well aware of this but still cry like it's family members going out, can't help it!
2023 and I'm still crying like it was the first time.. WTH! T_T
It's easy to find an editor but it's rare to find an editor with a great sense of humor, these video cuts & memes are hilarious 😂
It's god dang 2024 and I'm still crying like it was the first time.. WTH! T_T
😢
I sobbed while watching this. This was one of the saddest TV episodes I've watched.
Had no plan of watching this show until I saw your reaction videos of Arcane. Watched this show so I can watch your reaction videos and oh boy, totally worth it. Love your work.
i'm falling in love with the guy on the left , with the glasses in the beko shirt geezuz
These guys keep asking why is the phone still charged shows they spend way to much on there phones, if u leave your phone alone some of them can have their batteries last for a week or so, this has only been around for a few days and i doubt he has been using facebook all this time lol
their reactors mood change the moment they knew that the partners are opponents
That one girl : "He's evil"
15 mn later : "He's a kind person"
2 episodes later she will regret saying good thing about him....
🤣🤣🤣
I like how the girls are sobbing as the guys are just like: 😐
29:02 Bro almost ready into burst tears and sob but realized he's with his homies 😅
Well made video and edit👌 the reactions I was looking for
오호 너무 좋아요 ^^
오랜만에 좋은방송 시청했네요.
감사합니다.^^
omg these edits are godly . Thank you so much for making my day!
Wow. Your format of reaction compilation must be the best I've seen. I'll check other compilations soon. Amazing editing! It was easy to follow the reactions and did not annoyingly go back and forth on scenes. Thanks for putting a thought on how to piece the videos together. This is excellent!
I watched many version of reaction, but it was the best one🔥🔥 Perfect Editing👍👍
This is the most heartbreaking episode of the show.
LOl, all these people crying. It was such an amazing show, absolutely loved all the horror in it. Impossible choices. Everyone in the reactions would do the same in a heartbeat when put in such a situation. I only cried during the last 2 episodes, because the show crashed like a trainwreck with a cheap cop out.
Iconic episode, right up there with the Red Wedding
*watching all of the youtubers getting hyped for the teamups*
Me: Cackling maniacly in the backround
It's interesting that Sang Woo and Gi-Hun did the exact same thing but Sang-Woo is the bastard, SOB,etc.
Gi-hun when he won: 😭
Sae-byeok when she won: 😭
