    Do you guys happen to still have measurements? Noticed passenger wheel sticks out almost half an inch more . Measured frame rails to fender and came out the same 1/2 inch so either one rail is pushed in or the other is pushed out.

    At 17:20. I’ve been trying to find out what that black painted brace or whatever it’s called at the lower right corner of the screen that the fender attaches to. Can you guys help? Need one for drivers side. Hit 3 deer and busted mine as well as other things.

      Hey thanks for watching and commenting. Sorry about your accident. The part your speaking of is called the lower core support. It runs to both sides and bolts through the frame rails. It is also spot welded into the fender aprons on both sides with 6 spot welds on front and back. Good luck and let us know if ya need anything else.

    • @JMRRebuilders
      @JMRRebuilders  4 роки тому +4

      Hi Donovon I am not sure I completely understand the question. So I will attempt to answer. We cut the frame rails off where the factory welded them in and the replacements we bought were OEM replacements. So they were the same specs as factory. I hope this answers the question.

    Great job guys! I have the same problem with my Dodge Ram. Crashed the front end and those bumper supports are both bent to the right. Prolly need to come off like yours and weld new straight ones on. Now I have an idea how to do it. My fender supports or aprons as you call them are too far gone and I need to go to a salvage yard to get those replaced. Question, when yall mounted those bumper supports did y’all do any measurements to make sure the bumper would line up correctly? I’m concerned after the cut and placing the new ones on that everything won’t line up once everything is mounted back on

    • @JMRRebuilders
      @JMRRebuilders  2 роки тому

      Thanks for the comment and support. Not sure about a dodge but I imagine somewhere there is a factory spec measurement. We just did everything to get it back into factory spec. Good luck to ya and hope it works out. KEEP GETTIN AFTER IT

    • @Comm0ut
      @Comm0ut Рік тому

      The trick for aligning that stuff is to bolt on the minimum amount of parts. I'd bolt the bumper to the stubs, align the bumper to the body so it CAN'T be wrong, then tack weld the stubs, confirm and visually it looks like what ya want then remove the core support and finish weld.
      It's like using door gaps and windshield glass to align the halves of a clipped car. Use the parts whose dimensions are good to align parts to be welded and ya can't really go wrong.

    Can you tell me how you welded the new lower radiator support to the apron? Do you have to drill holes so it can be spot welded?
    Any help appreciated. Oh and I purchased a JMR shirt today, very cool.

    • @JMRRebuilders
      @JMRRebuilders  4 роки тому

      I cannot wait. We are gonna have to remove ours all the way to the a pillar. Because ford and icar do not have an approved method for sectioning the aprons we are required to go back to the original factory seam. So we are currently trying to figure that out.

      JMR Rebuilders oh man, that’s intense!! I will be very curious to see how you end up doing that and what it takes. Do you have a frame guy or shop that is working with you on this? I know you guys will do a great job with this truck in the end!

    • @JMRRebuilders
      @JMRRebuilders  4 роки тому +1

      No unfortunately we have not found anyone that will work with us. Alot of the companies around here only want that insurance company money. We are lookng into purchasing our own frame machine because there is simply no one who wants to help guys like us here.
      We are looking forward to the learning experience. Just hard trying to figure out how to film this since it will be multiple days and fit in our personal life, real jobs and everything else. So this part since we have never done it will take a bit. But hopefully between our 2 videos there will finally be a good how to on these 09-14 f150 apron repair.

    New sub here. How difficult/effective was the tree tug on your first rebuild? I am considering a crashed raptor that needs the same. Looks like the lower radiator support took the hit but did slightly twist the apron. I'm not looking to replace it even though you guys made it look easy. Also left front wheel pushed back an inch. I am hopeful that the suspension components are to blame and not the frame. Any ideas?

    • @JMRRebuilders
      @JMRRebuilders  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Robert thank you for the sub. About the tree pull it works the key is targeted pressure. There are a ton of ways to accomplish this. Also the lower core support is really affordable but it can be a bear to get out. The suspension pushed back could be a multitude of things. We will do our best to help ya. I say get the raptor and give it a try.
