There's obvious wobbling in the video when recording from the front cam. it also over exposes. Noticeable shift in color tones when switching from main to UW. Also has micro jitters (though only visible when zoom into things).
The macro and low-light shots look really great. I don't think the lower performance is an issue as everything works fluently and you can still run all games very well. But the other drawbacks sadly make it a nogo for me. I don't want to risk something not working, or having to tinker around when it works with other phones out of the box.

But what exactly does that pop-out do again? But.... at 1300 eur it's an no go. With a compensating processor, not particularly applesque zoom and even an ultrawide that you can't write home about - it's just not it. It's not a polished apple experience. still images monster!😳 The Panasonic full frame camera S9 just released- I reckon this Huawei could match it when it comes to photography. Personally, I'd want other vendors with this 1 inch sensor and I wouldn't mind a thicker phone and lens module to get rid of the retractable mechanism.
the retracting part is pointless.. just something that will break faster... i had 2 zenfone flips i know 1st hand . camera is great no need for the extra stuff. i find it funny the actual LENS on the periscope is bigger than the main cam
I got the Pura 70 Pro and it offers a hit and miss experience oftentimes delivering poor photos with lots of ghosting, artifacts, noise and even the blurring out of people's faces when they're part of a complex cityscape.
@@lltechview they clearly bounced back with the p60 pro. so putting the burden on consumers when we know for sure they are making great sales is a cop out. I would understand if the hardware was a break through like having titanium, sd8g3, anti relfective glass, spen etc. but to me it's a great camera but a mediocre phone. let's not forget that this is still a phone.
Only problem i have with this and any other Huawei phone (apart from price ofc), is that there isnt workaround for viber....Only (important) aplication, at least for me, where notifications dont work...
I wish Huawei all the best and I'm sure they'll make a comeback in Europe one day, but this is not it. I have mad respect for their ability to basically build a smartphone using only local Chinese components BUT asking 1500 euros for a midrange chip and Android 12?!
They should quickly dumped Android and focus on their on OS on Global market if they want to compete with the big guy like Samsun, Apple, or even Xiaomi. Harmony OS had so much potential, sad to see that they're still stuck with their old UI especially with an Old Android, and most of the application also doesn't work properly.
Good Review, Thank you. I do have a Pura 70 Pro Plus, a Xiaomi 14 Ultra, and an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I prefer the Pura for my Macro and action Shots. I use both the iPhone and Xiaomi for Videos, and nighttime photos were better on Xiaomi, personal preference. The biggest problem is the Apps. I like my Apple Maps best. On the other phones, there are other Map programs. But to me, not as good. I am in China. So maybe not the same where you are. I will go to HK again to pick up a iPhone 16 Pro Max. I maybe should try a Samsung. But after buying 5 top of the line Samsung each year they came out and I was disappointed. I then got a iPhone 12 Pro Max and have like the Apps. Pics and Videos are OK on all the phones. Just depends if you want grainer (iPhone) or smoothen details on the Xiaomi. But the Best items on the Pura are the Fast shutter speed and the Macro Pictures details that I need.
With the ongoing restrictions, huawei does a phenomenal job. Sad we can't see the phone true potential

Sure you can.
We have the 3.5 headphone jack coming on the Xperia 1 V1
Yes some do it like Sony and Redmagic phones. But it's very rare nowadays sadly.
once again, the con's are pretty major. I will never understand Chinese companies for gimping their flagships.
Thats strange regarding WideVine. Perhaps its your version of the phone. But I watched another reviewer TechNick and he shows that it has L1 WideVine Security. Not L3
Must be. But I have L3 🤷♂️
@@Techtablets I have pre-ordered the phone. Its really outstanding. I am moving over from iPhone but really excited. Release date here in South Africa is 1 June
When they roll out harmonyOS Next may you test it for us please? I need just one app in google Play store
Good reviewer
Thank you kindly
They are back in the market to hike the price of phones ! They are the reason when phone cost over 1k now. Huawei!
Camera 2 Api support?
Level 3
@@Techtablets thank you 👍
@@Techtablets how many fps in genshin boss
Camera lens is small, but the frame is size of my plate
Just imagine that cam tech with sd 8gen4
still images monster!😳 The Panasonic full frame camera S9 just released- I reckon this Huawei could match it when it comes to photography. Personally, I'd want other vendors with this 1 inch sensor and I wouldn't mind a thicker phone and lens module to get rid of the retractable mechanism.
Google supported???😮
Watch the video I answer than and others say microg allows them to even run Android auto.
awesome video and great phone
i love how Chinese manufacturers r always experimenting with the camera setup/placement.
the retracting part is pointless.. just something that will break faster... i had 2 zenfone flips i know 1st hand . camera is great no need for the extra stuff. i find it funny the actual LENS on the periscope is bigger than the main cam
I got the Pura 70 Pro and it offers a hit and miss experience oftentimes delivering poor photos with lots of ghosting, artifacts, noise and even the blurring out of people's faces when they're part of a complex cityscape.
Hi
- is there an option to turn off the pop-out camera when opening the camera app ?
@@dararaloun4554 The Pura 70 Pro does not have a pop-out camera.
Huawei still missed out small things which is basically matter of daily drive:-
Like power button size to be big & wide and location is not handy.
this should be atleast 400$ cheaper because of the cpu/gpu.
Honestly this is what makes it so expensive. They put a lot of R&D into the SoC to overcome the restrictions and that is costy.

Price cannot justify haha. Freaking expansive if you ask me.
No 5G?
Only problem i have with this and any other Huawei phone (apart from price ofc), is that there isnt workaround for viber....Only (important) aplication, at least for me, where notifications dont work...
microG should work with viber
Viber is in the appgallery I guess
Kupiš za 200-300 evra drugi telefon samo za Viber, to je bar lako rešiti :)
Viber is natively available in the Huawei AppGallery!
