- The Huawei Pura 70 Ultra is the newest in Huawei's flagship phone series. Huawei's P series has always been known for its camera prowess, and this new version is no different, with a 1-inch sensor with a variable aperture, and an excellent telemacro camera that can produce stunning macro shots. But the coolest trick may be the ultra fast shutter which can capture motions in standstill.

Huawei need an update for the cameras, i see a spanish reviewr that is based and not sponsored that said even if Huawei is gof tier still need camera upgrades and in video is still behind the competition, and its true sadly at the moment.

@@shravanster not as fast as this and still have less grain and bright in lowlight. not only is this fast, since the aperture and sensor is too big plus their ai it can still capture fast shots with a lot of clarity even at night. pixel and iphone can't do that.

I'll never forget the shock I had when shooting with the P30 Pro's Auto mode in VERY low light. That RYYB sensor was out of this world. I've had the S22U, S23U, and now S24U and none of these come even close (even with Night Mode) to what that beast did on Auto.
All those Samsungs are better than P30 Pro, but it took entire industry YEARS to get on the same level, mostly due sanctions, because P40 and P50, with Huawei hampered by sanctions, were and are still leading.
@@feiticeirafatale561 I was only talking about low light shots, none of the Samsungs I mentioned are better. I've owned all of them, I know for a fact. The S24U I've got now doesn't come close with Night Mode to what the P30 Pro did on just Auto.
I remember having the P20 pro and I was amazed at what it could do on Night mode. I had friends tell me my photos were really good!
I am still using the p30, i never had to change the battery. Can still last 70%of the day

did you use GBOX Or Lighthouse for the GMS Issue? or you just yeet it and use the phone as how it is.

I feel all the new innovations now are mere quality of life improvements. I remember back when Huawei and Honor were operating in India they gained quite a good reputation among consumers. Even in a price sensitive market like India I've seen people being a loyal Huawei user.

Omg, the shutter speed is so impressive. That was a bottle neck for every phone for years. Love it.
I don't care about google apps, the catch is that Huawei has to make Harmony universal. I never had a problem with EMUI but we expect Huawei to invest their future on Harmony so we need the best that they offer.
Price in Malaysia [MYR] for the:
P70 (12-256) - 3699 [777USD, 725EUR],
P70 Pro (12-512) - 4899 [1029USD, 960EUR],
P70 Ultra (16-512) - 6599 [1386USD, 1293EUR].
So, slightly cheaper than equivalent Samsung S24, S24+ & S24U but since S24 series has been out for a while you can get it cheaper.
Seems like they just announced the EU price today. 999, 1,199, and 1,499 for the respective models, more expensive than Malaysian price, as usual i guess.
Here in the Philippines, the P70 costs 47,999, Pro at 59,999 and the camera monster Ultra model is at 79,999
Man that shutter is next level. Every company needs to steal that approach ASAP should definitely be an industry standard.

In Malaysia, Huawei system is kinda mature because u can use those Google apps and install it like UA-cam you can just use it because the system is integrated with the gbox so u can run apps without getting into the gbox app

@@franceshelle9099 yeah u can run Google apps and there a play store as well just like normal but only on the latest Huawei phone in Malaysia. For the older Huawei phone u still need to run the apps using third party apps

The build quality, design Nd camera is top notch... The leading selling smart phone companies need to learn from Huawei especially in design language nd camera.. How they r unique in every year with their flagship devices.

Huawei have mastered nearly every aspect of smartphone design and manufacturing the last hurdle they need to overcome is the SOC which I believe they will do within the next few years. Huawei is here to stay despite US efforts

huawei break the barriers again that the major phone brand fail to improve, specifically samsung and iphone.
This phone is a beast, I am not Huawei fan due to some bad experience with recent Huawei phones but this time I got the phone to check cause I was impressed with the design and I really like everything in this phone, its incredibly fast and powerful and all google apps running smoothly on this new software interface, the Camera is insane and battery so good and solid, I didn't feel any lag or crashes with this 7 nm processor and even the 4g + is very fast and not far from 5G speed at all

im still using mate 40 Pro plus for 3 year one still loving every singel day of it. i dont no if i can upgrade ever to another one . even mate 70 pro plus . only because of the curve screen i like so much . and camera system 10x periscoop is so good . and swapped batery brand new some months ago so its 100 procent health again

Yes, they charge for premium but they also spend a lot in RnD. I still love my p40 Pro which is still great compared to 2024 phone.

My Samsung shutter speed is very fast too, first few months. Haha! The reason I haven't been able to get my hands on global Huawei versions, is the lack of 1TB options. Please release 1TB for global versions Huawei!

From today you can pre-order the Pura 70 Ultra in Romania starting from 1300 eur aprox. with all the discounts. It's ok as price for the Huawei fans. Probably in a few months, the price will drop as usual. Definitely I will let sell my P50 Pro and buy an Ultra in the few months.
Regarding the last comments that the phone is not considered premium I'm pretty sure that if Huawei still had access to Google it would have crushed the competition and be considered " ULTRA Premium" :) .
Also looking fw to se how Harmony Next will act and how they manage it globally. I wouldn't be surprised if Oppo Vivo make an alliance with Huawei to have an global software and let behind the google services.

Stuff like this makes me really miffed that the US forced a near global Huawei ban. They're innovating and that stuff with combining shots so you never miss a moment, that's insane, that's the type of stuff you need to take pictures of your pets/kids/friends running around without them being blurry. Its just an overall really solid phone.

Thanks for review: I personally use Huawei Mate 40 Pro and my wife's on P60 Pro, phones are great in terms of hardware: battery life and cameras are incredible. As you mentioned, Google situation is not convenient but manageable, it is good trade to have one of the best still photo phone on the market and sacrifice Google services. Pura 70 Ultra shots seen so far looks amazing, definitely top 3 in the market.
Well done Ben. Is it possible to do a more detailed comparison between this phone and few others at the same time? I am thinking of buying one of these phones in the near future. Thanks and please keep up with the good work.

if you're going to consider past huawei devices, they also took hdr shots by default. i dont think this has changed.
What surprises me the most is that there isn't much difference between the iPhone and Huawei.
Yes, there's a difference, but it's not that huge, to be honest.
So, I'm not sure it's worth buying, even though I'd like to.
Installing Google apps on a Huawei isn't very complicated, but it requires more effort than on an iPhone. Moreover, I live in Europe, so the models available to us will only have 4G.
Therefore, it's not certain that it's worth it compared to an iPhone 15 Pro Max in reality
Thanks for this video! I owned a P50 pro and my experience was really bad especially for the battery life and the video jittering! As much as i love Huawei I would like to give them another chance but i feel comfortable with an iPhone 14PM and Apple Watch from 1 year and half.. I don’t know also no Gapps I should “fix” myself once again 😅

In China, this phone has satellite messaging, satellite picture-sending and satellite phone call functions, so the price is quite reasonable in this regard. Outside China, Huawei phones are also known for its top reception of connectivity.
There are more private options than Google for all your activities. Looks like a good camera!
I used to have a huawei mate 40 pro (without google services), unfortunately I broke it.
Now I have a galaxy s23 ultra and OMG! This phone is nothing compared to my experience with huawei. Sure it has the gms but the overall experience is way worst than I expected.
I'm really thinking about coming back to huawei and this pure 70 ultra seems very interesting.
BTW, here in italy the launch price is 1499€
