Huawei is the only brand that is never shy of trying new designs. It's still the best smartphone in terms of photography but the Kirin chip needs to be on par with other flagships out there. Overall 9.5/10
Blame the U.S. government that's actively preventing Huawei from using Qualcomm Snapdragon chips.

just been in the Huawei store in Malaysia and jesus its one incredible phone. By far the nicest phone ive ever held. Feels ultra luxury in the hand. Just wish it had google play

I was loyal to Huawei using their Phones between 2014 until 2020..i left to Samsung just because i could not imagine life without google. If google is futuring here on the Pura 70,...maybe its time i visit Huawei again.

❤❤❤The Huawei Pura 70 ultra is a 5G phone. I have tested it and its connectivity speed is in fact better than all my other 5G phones. It is also a fully functional SATELLITE PHONE which can communicate with a satellite that is 32,000 miles above the earth's surface. The satellite technology of the Pura 70 ultra is light years ahead of the iPhone 15 max which can only send SOS sms via a satellite that is only 100 to 150 miles up. 😂
I was surprised when he referred to the Chipset as 4g+ while we all know is 5g, yes is not 5 nm but is 7nm 5g Chip

@@kgapholasegadimanebethuel3873 In theory, it is called 4G+. In Vietnam, Viettel, a telecommunications group, also has the same technology as Huawei and developed it itself, and it is also 4G+. As far as I know, it is called 4G+ here. In terms of theoretical bandwidth, 4G is achieved but in reality it does not achieve that due to many factors. With 4G+ it almost achieves 5G speed but is not enough and reaches the exact theoretical 4G speed, one more factor is It supports wavebands from 4G broadcast stations that are upgraded to be close to 5G or upgraded to 5G standard. With Huawei, their 5G is defined as a complete device from the non-upgradable 5G standard transmitter to the chip. 5G embedded in the phone chip must meet different standards, its actual speed must also be 5 Gbp/s compared to the theoretical 10Gb/s, the minimum speed in the coverage area must be 400Mbp/s
Do you have the Global Version or Chinese Version ? I don't know why I see a lot of reviewers since the global version released say that it is 4G only..

you can never justify paying so much for any phone ... ... kudos for the review.. for a very long time I haven't seen someone put such a detailed effort into the display of cameras in all conditions. as well as about the phone itself .. well done !!

I had every Mate Model and they were all great. Battery, stable, fast, signal quality
Moving away from Google Services should be everyone's priority - monopoly is bad, and they're gradually not "open source" anymore.. Harmony feels new and refreshing.
U do know GMS and Android are 2 different things right. I use an iphone, my google related accounts are synced with what I use on my PC and android tablet.
Harmony OS is basically Android. lol
They're just not calling it that.
Also, Google Services are not Android.
@@BojanTomic Err.... Not really. Android and Harmony are both OS based on Linux open source kernel while Android belongs to Google and Harmony OS belongs to Huawei.
Harmony OS cannot be based on Google since you know the ban.

Great video Nick, I'm also really impressed in how far Huawei has come, I'm a bit disappointed that the phone doesn't support 5G connectivity globally but it can hold its own against other flagship phones in real world daily usage which is impressive even tho the chip is made on an inferior node.

Nick you didn’t really talk about what seems the most exciting feature… almost magic ability to output a perfectly in focus photo however much movement or shaking of the phone

I have heard that only 5G logo at the top screen is restricted, and the speed is the same as a 5G and it comes with 5G. I'm curious to BE shure if it's true or not.

My relative has a Pura 70 and she sent me a video, left side of the video is recorded by back camera and right side is recorded by front camera. I never saw this kind recording mode before, is this something new?

This phone caught my attention, but I am not a photograph enthusiast, so I will probably pass this one. I am looking forward to the next generation of mate pro, though.

I am waiting for the mate 70 pro instead. It will contain an advanced 5 nm chipset and will have more performance as the mate series often performs better overall.

Shouldn't lowering the f-stop to f1.6 create less depth? Somehow it seems like this aperture fiddling is just a gimmick, done in the software.

Another perfect work from huawei company when it comes to innovation huawei is the one who are progress when it comes to over all performance in technology even they are restricted in other aspects.they also raising the competition among the other brands like samsung and apple. Look what apple pad 2024 they adapt the light weight that huawei first did but still its not bezelles.huawei also is the go when it comes to premium gadgets but will not compromise its quality and your budget. look at there phone tablet laptap and watches they give it innovative upgrade not like other brand that it took so slow for them to innovate (hi,apple) 😂theyr just making out of money from simple upgrade thats not worth it.and it cost much.again congrats huawei,by the way im still happy using the huawei matepad 13.2 and freebuds pro 2 its 4months already but its make me like it more and more😘😘😘🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭

for me i dont mind the absent of google. i rock the papermatter matepad almost 3 months and no problem finding the apks. I really would love to buy the pura 70 pro. But my biggest gripe with it is the price and absent of 5G. in malaysia its only 4g capabled. and the price? its more expensive than iphones and samsungs lol.

I have a P60 Pro and tbh if it's your main device, due to the Google ban Huawei is a bit of a pain in the behind. It's for people who has extreme levels of patience or at least knows hacked websites or apps so that it works better. And one thing most people on UA-cam say is "Google apps work without issue" which is false as sometimes you disconnect from certain apps due to Google, if you have games such as CODM you cannot make in app purchases, if you want to sync save data to your Google cloud it is 50/50 that it will work. I love Huawei I wouldn't have bought the P60 if I didn't but sometimes I wish you tubers didn't mislead people
Does Pura 70 Ultra support "Android Auto"? One of my daily life is to plug-in my mobile to my car with andriod auto support to use the navigator from google map.
Huawei has gone a lot further than Google in terms of car smart cockpit. If he's not compatible with Android Auto I think it's normal.
I miss huawei..I've check the phone too bad the ultra version doesn't come in bigger size..
