I have the 4050 model, this thing is no joke!! I think for the price on what you get, there is nothing out there that will match! The screen is AMAZING, if you want an Apple like Windows laptop, look no futher, this is the one! This is why I purchased this machine and I have no regrets at all!
Yes 100% agreed. But you cannot compare windows laptops to apple. Windows is far better and RTX GPUs have good support for 3d artists people who do 3d modeling, 3d animation, vfx cgi etc
Make sure you have high performance mode enabled, even on quiet and optimized, still decent, but the high performance mode will help a ton! I have the 4050 model, such a great laptop for the price, you won't see anything better with that screen outside of Apple at the $2200 mark in my opinion
Thanks! High performance is on permanently! I agree with you, I would've totally gone for the 4050 too, but I just wanted little extra (midlife crisis, never touched an i9 product period before). I hear so many good things about Apple too, but not having the full Stream library was the deal breaker for me. The few things I envy about Apple products are their insane optimization (it better be), battery life and mini-led display (I'm still scared of burn-ins on OLEDs!).

I just got the galaxy book 3 pro 360 and although not as powerful as the book 3 ultra, it can still play Modern Warfare 2 and Far Cry 5; Samsung is killing it with these laptops!
I have the i9 4070 versio n make sure u push FN and F11 till it says Performace Mode. your GPU will then pull close to 60watts and the performace increase is massive.

Your Gpu Wattage seemed very low. I had the same problem at first, only using about 40w max. Then I changed to the perf mode from the laptop settings and it raised to 60w and games performed better. Also, by default Nvidia studio drivers were on. Changed them to games etc. I have the 4070 model and have been happy with it. Crazy deal in Finland, got the free storage update and also 100€ discount, 5% credit to store, 10% discount code and Tab S8 Ultra for free. Damn. Couldn't resist.

@jin-N-tech it is a separate option in the menu. From what I've read you should force vsync in the control panel to smooth it out. It apparently boosts frames massively
so... when is the high performance mode video coming, im planning of check this laptop out and im currious what the fps counter would look like for games like those, and if you can, could you include fallout 4, and show the graphics settings before you start playing every games? and even better, when showing the graphics settings, could you show the default chosen settings for every game, im just curious what settings the games will chose for that kind of setup

@jin-N-tech quite simple , I have detached the fans of 2 Heatsinksfor desktop One on the cpu/ Gpu of my samsung galaxy book pro 15.6 i5 1135g7 8gb lpddr4 The 2 on the point that allows to have stability without deforming the case possibly near to the ssd . Around 1500 on spy benchmark and 4200 on firestryke. Being a low spec gamer , it's enough, and the artworks on a screen with 100% gamma and infinite contrast is the most important .
Pretty weird your 4070 got a tp score of 5609, it was even lower than the 4050 model which has around 6600 score. Maybe it's because the 4070 didn't get the extra 15w power.

I’ve been debating at this stage if the i9 RTX 4070 variant is worth it on the gaming arena of things. Based on how similar Firestrike & Timespy benchmarks are to the cheaper i7/RTX 4050, I decided to get that instead. What I believe is happening, is that although the specs are indeed better, the physical heat dissipation & power limit are still being applied given the same form factor for both SKU. This is appears to be bad engineering, why isn’t there a greater gag between the laptop variants? I guess it was meant to be targeted to Creators and not gamers. What a shame.

Wait, hold on a sec. 0:29 That does not look right. How did you get 14101 on 3dmark??? It is a 60w 4070. And my scores were like around 6000- 8000 depends on the power mode, which told you that it's exactly a 60w 4070.
@@jin-n-tech Oh I got what was going on. The power setting in win11 is not working since samsung has its own power settings in Samsung Settings App. You gotta switch to high performance in that App.

Not so sure. I was never an expert in overclocking or changing the default settings in MSI Afterburner, but I will be doing little more research on this. I feel that there is a room for the laptop to get little hotter (never gets hot to the touch) to get little more juice out of CPU/GPU.
I have the last gen Samsung "gaming" laptop. The build quality looks ok, but the hinge quantity was poor and it's not in the guarantee. Performance really sucks for it's price too... My after sale experience was so bad. I don't want to buy new Samsung products, when I can avoid them.

This laptop has 60 watt RTX 4070. Bigger gaming laptop have 105 watt or even higher 4070. This laptop is purely made for creators, 3d artists and little bit 1080p level gaming.
That's what I thought at first and I was a skeptic when making this video, until I figured out the Samsung's very own performance button. All games tested ran pretty well in 3K with high/ultra settings + ray tracing. I'm a believer now, but I do wish TGP was higher to call it a pure 3K gaming unit.

But i think meteorlake(laptop exclusive Intel chips) is coming later this year with new Intel 4 node and 50% better performance per watt than 13 gen and 2 times faster igpu performance. I think Samsung could make a meteorlake laptop with RTX 4080 or 4090 laptop GPU of at least 90 watt.
Depends on many variables here. If you are on a budget, that 3070ti should be fine. If not, I'd go with 4080, if you don't mind the IPS display vs OLED.
It seems that you have no idea about rtx graphics becuse there is a lot of things like frame generation and dlss 3.0 that will increase your fps and this laptop has the best display on the market becuse its ( 3k oled) , yes not as bright as mini led but the oled wins after all with better deep blacks and no blooming issues in night and I will choose oled with 500 nits over mini led with 2000 nits all the time
The laptop was very power bound due to its design and cooling The avg power the gpu was drawing while gaming was measly 40W - for comparison a *proper* high performance gaming laptop with a 3070 consumes about 130W and performs much much better This laptop should've been loaded up with a 4050 class gpu

there is second performance mode in samsung settings in order to manage 9000 and more in time spy

Make sure you have game drivers, not studio drivers, for the gpu.

Yes, DLSS 3.0 on performance mode was on for Hogwarts (not available in all games yet). I believe DLSS itself is the frame generation tech.

Try turning render resolution down to 1080p and display resolution to 1200p in games, DLSS on RT off in games

I think the recording bottlenecked the framerate on most of the games which is why the framerate doesnt change when you lower settings

it goes up to 63 W with the latest drivers, overcloacking (by nvidia geforce experience) and restraining the I9 cpu to 25 W with Intel Tuning utility

Depends on many variables here. If you are on a budget, that 3070ti should be fine. If not, I'd go with 4080, if you don't mind the IPS display vs OLED.
It seems that you have no idea about rtx graphics becuse there is a lot of things like frame generation and dlss 3.0 that will increase your fps and this laptop has the best display on the market becuse its ( 3k oled) , yes not as bright as mini led but the oled wins after all with better deep blacks and no blooming issues in night and I will choose oled with 500 nits over mini led with 2000 nits all the time
I use Rivatuner. Sometimes I stick with GeForce Exp app for lighter weight monitoring.

The laptop was very power bound due to its design and cooling
The avg power the gpu was drawing while gaming was measly 40W - for comparison a *proper* high performance gaming laptop with a 3070 consumes about 130W and performs much much better
This laptop should've been loaded up with a 4050 class gpu
