I just ordered my GalaxyBook 3 Ultra. I do presentations all day with it, but also I get the professional look and the ability to game. It's expensive but perfect for my needs.
Lol thanks! If you do get it, you won't have to worry about buyer's remorse. The laptop is so good it made me start a UA-cam channel, a good excuse to call it an investment 🤣
This machine performs well for what it is. its light and thin. and the Screen is amazing. its not a gaming laptop . it for someone who wants portability and play games someimes.. I use it as my main laptop for work now.. and been playing Last epoch on it
I agree! I believe a "true" gaming laptop in today's standard deserves a 4080 at minimum with more power & cooling to get to 4K/60fps. For casual gamers such as myself, this is perfect 👌
Great review. Looks like Samsung has created the first viable ultrabook gaming laptop! It appears to have the perfect blend of portability and power. Hats off to the engineers for making the gpu cool and not throttle. The 40 series is just so efficient, and these benchmarks were at native so there should be plenty of head room if you were to drop it down to 1080p. I've read that you can also cap the cpu to 25w which takes to gpu to 63 watts. Will be using this as a creator but good to know it can seriously game too. Can't wait until mine arrives!
Yes, yes and yes! I initially wasn't too thrilled when the performance was somewhat similar between 4070 and a 3070ti, and their selling point was efficiency and frame generation. But after seeing what this ultrabook can pump out with 60 TGP, I'm sold. Hope you get your's soon, and help me answer some of the questioned posted on here 🤣
Thank you very much for the FN F11 high performance mode! The labtop of freaking Perfect now for weight size and power adapter. I can actually play this on a plane now and game with out the giant power bricks of the past
I think the Zenbook 14 pro is the only other laptop that could challenge, it has the same specs and a higher TDP and potentially better cooling. Waiting for that to release before commiting to the ultra
@@jin-n-tech ikr, especially in a 14.5 inch laptop frame if they manage to control the cooling enough. I think that and the ultra are the only 2 options right now for discrete gaming power in a professional looking device. Unless dell decides to drop the 4070 into the xps 15 this year which could be possible.
Heyy man, amazing video, totally loved ur work! Can you please make one more video benchmarking a few more games like spider man, horizon, elden ring etc. I think everyone would appreciate that because there aren’t any good benchmarking videos on UA-cam for this laptop. Yours was the best I found. Keep up the good work!
Hey thanks for the suggestions! This UA-cam thing is kicking my butt right now, didn't realize how time consuming it was, but will consider doing more benchmarks.
What do you guys think of the 4050 i7 version? I've recently got mine but haven't unboxing it yet.. I was hoping to get the 32gb 4070 i9 version but it's not available here in Canada
Deferring to others who has this already. 4050 has half of the cuda cores and 6gb of memory, but similar in specs otherwise. This might be, or might not be, enough depending on what/how you will be using the laptop for.
I had high hopes for xps 15 but there no 120HZ display and no vapour chamber so will throttle. The asus zenbook 14 pro or 16x oleds are the only other potentially better options...but no idea when they are actually releasing
@FFV Gaming yeah, I commented before the release of 9530. It's was expected because they used the same chaises for 4 years, last time. So probably full redesign comes next year. But this year, it's a no-go for me.
Thanks! I believe many of other reviewers were using the i7/4050, and it is difficult to spot the difference but looking at the average 3DMark bench for the GPU only, the average graphics score difference was about 4000 (8000 vs 12000), which is about 33% difference in performance.
@@jin-n-tech i have both, and i can assure that for gaming performance the difference is about 20%, from rtx4050 version to rtx4070. I is not worth it.
@@jin-n-tech Yes haha - I play a lot less compared to before, which was making me consider the M3... but perhaps I should still retain the option to play :p (e.g., Starfield which is coming out Sept 2023!)
Gutted the UK only has the 16GB option, I'm considering the i9/4070 build. How much of an impact do you think the smaller RAM will have? (I haven't bought a laptop in 8 years and have always been a console gamer)
Super late reply but to take full advantage of the 3K gaming here, I do feel that 4070 w/32gb is a must. Pretty much all triple A games I've played have been using 20+gb RAM.
The CPU throttled when performing Time Spy and Fire Strike benchmarks before hitting the 100 C mark, but never the GPU. You can see how the CPU throttles to below 4ghz in the summary graph in the video. The GPU has not throttled as the GPU temp remained stable below 70 C. It only cut back when the GPU load was simply not there.
Thank you very much for benchmarking PUBG and OW2. I was thinking to start playing both of them. Btw I am going in for the i9 13900H, RTX 4070, 32GB RAM version. Can you please tell me how it will perform for live streaming, gaming and editing?
