These are very cool and it is great that Joe came by to sign them too. I expect they will be sold out before the day is over. I worked a few music stores back in the 70's and the difference in quality between instruments made in America and instruments manufactured overseas was huge. In those days players who were starting out and could not afford a Strat or an LP had to settle for really low quality stuff. I left the music business and embarked on a different career. But around 2000 or so I wandered into a music store and I was flabbergasted at the price and the quality of the "budget" instruments that they were selling. New computer aided manufacturing techniques have enhanced the quality of consumer goods across the board and guitars are no exception. I have not played this particular Epiphone model but if it is on a par with their other models I have played and I am sure that anyone who buys one is going to be very happy with their purchase. Obviously we all dream of owning a vintage '62 335. At the end of the day you might sound better if you were playing one too. But I guarantee the difference is not going to be worth the difference in price! Remember a great player sounds great playing any instrument. You can always buy a better instrument or a bigger amp but you can't buy talent. So if you have a serviceable playable instrument stop dreaming and get back in the woodshed if you want to reach your full potential. Which reminds me. I should stop watching videos and get back to practicing!
I've seen Eddie playing a regular strat...sounded like Eddie..I also saw SRV playing a paul...sounded like Stevie..all in the hands man !
The actual truth is anyone who was serious about being the Beatles in late 60s or early 70s COULD afford a world class guitar because you could make a decent wage bagging groceries. I bought my first car, a Gibson SG, Hagstrom Bass and more all bagging groceries. The brand new guitars were less than $300 - an SG Special with Bigsby was $279, Hagstrom much less, Dodge Coronet 500 coupe only 3 years old for $1000. I bought a 12 string KAPA Minstrel teardrop shaped like Vox (made in Japan) for $50 - sold later for $450; it was a GREAT time to grow up - muscle cars (my 2nd car was brand new 'Cuda for $4k) and guitars.......a teenager bagging groceries. 🎸
I bought the 2015 Epiphone Les Paul Std Joe Bonamassa signature guitar and I was surprised how good the quality of the guitar was for being built in China. It came with a meet & greet pass, so I took the guitar to the show in Kitchener, ON where my wife & I met Joe and he graciously signed the back of the guitars headstock just like this one. There is no way Joe will remember this but to my wife and I it was a special day that we will never forget. And I will always treasure my guitar. And of course, Joe blew the doors off the place that evening. Thanks Joe. This guitar looks like a great one too!
Just received delivery of Serial #-180. Everything is intact and it sounds amazing! Thank Joe B and Uncle Norm!😊
The staff at Norm’s does such a great job selling Gibson/Epiphone, I could totally see someone from there getting a job AT Gibson someday!
Lol I see what you did there
😅😅😅
Yeah but then you'd immediately step on your dick at Gibson, I bet. 🤡
If you need to authenticate his signature on these guitars, you can’t do much better than video evidence!
Congratulations on a new signature model guitar. That is a beautiful guitar. You have a Signature Custom Shop 1951 Nocaster run of 100, Masterbuilt 1955 Sunburst Telecaster only 15 made, 1950’’s Epiphone Les Paul Black Beauty with 3 pickups, 1960 Epiphone Norm Burst Les Paul, a 355 Black Limited Edition with Bigsby and gold hardware modeled after the 3 King’s., Epiphone 1958 Korina Flying V named after Amos ( which by the way Jack Pearson loves the one you gave him ) 👍, Epiphone early 1960’s model Limited Edition Treasure Firebird -1, with a single pickup, Epiphone Les Paul Standard in Gold Top and Pelham Blue, Epiphone Les Paul 59 neck shape in Inverness Green with Bigsby, the new Epiphone 335 ES model shown here modeled after Eric Clapton’s guitar, Epiphone Les Paul Gold Top modeled after the Gibson Les Paul named Lazarus that you own, 1948 reissue Fender Dual Professional 26 watts with 2 x 10 “ Bonamassa Celestion speakers, 1959 Fender Twin Custom Shop Reissue with aged Tweed with Custom Joe Bonamassa 85 watt 12” Celestion speakers, numerous pedals, a wha wha, even a amp clear shield baffle, all kinds of novelty items, shirts, caps, jackets, clothing, etc. You are a great musician and humanitarian that not only makes great music but also raises and gives thousands of dollars to support the homeless, gigging musicians, and buys instruments for school kids, plus you do a podcast Keeping The Blues Alive with some great artist interviews. You are very well deserving of every honor that is bestowed upon you, you have earned each and every one. Thank you for being a great guy.
You want an artist guitar with a real signature and not a decal, you know where to go. Norms Rare Guitar. One of my bucket list to go to Norm's Rare Guitar. Happy to see Norm is healthy again.
I need to get here one day..its on my bucket list to do so..always loved the videos of Norm & his crew doing/showing these beautiful instruments..we need more Norms in the world !
Joe is the coolest! Good looking guitars too...they look like the Inspired by Gibson range and I have a 335 from that Epiphone line and it is a FANTASTIC guitar for the money! thanks people at Norm's!!!!! awsome stuff!
This is on the Christmas list 🙌🏻 beautiful guitar
just found these videos. Joe is one of my favorite guitar player. See you in Buffalo NY 2023. can't wait.
So happy Norm looks good!
Got mine release day! Amazing, and my favorite of the 3 JB Signature guitars I have purchased! This is a wonderful guitar!
Oh is it time for latch of the day!! 😂😂🎸😂😂
Awesome that Joe did that...way cool! Thx Norm and gang!
Looks like Norm has been able to gain some weight back. You look great Norm!
got one dec 18th , my third bonomassa with burstbuckers 2011 Goldtop LP , 2021 Lazarus LP
and now the 62 335 thanks joe and Epi for putting out vintage guitars that rival gibsons
I was playing music with some guys every Sunday. All I had was an Ibanez and an Epiphone Les Paul copy. I bought an Epiphone Dot (least expensive 335 copy). I replaced the neck Humbucker with a P-94 (single coil) and I have to say that for the money (approx, $430.00 with a GOOD case) that it was some of the best value that I've spent (musically) in my almost 66 years. I got a "natural" finish Dot and the wood grain has gotten more apparent in the 21 years since I purchased it. Koodos Epiphone! PS, don't be afraid of axes produced in Indonesia. Their making good guitars for a fantastic price.
I am looking forward to playing one of these. I hope to actually own one.
I know it’s a great quality instrument
It’s so nice JB has these signature models with Epiphone
I just bought one, very high quality Epi. Sounds great, flawlessly built and rivals Gibson at a much lower price…much like the Bona Vee that was released a few years ago, also excellent.
I'd rather be in a sunny place with shady people than a shady place with shady people.
Oh stf up you grew up in the suburbs. Cry me a river Kevin
Would love to hear one of these played in a future video. I have a Joe pass signature epiphone and it plays great, so I’m sure these do too. Always great seeing Joe, Brandon, and Norm in the videos! Norm you are looking healthy! God bless you all for all the cool stuff you continue to do!
Not a big fan of the sandy grainy feel of Indian Laurel fretboard; the Epi Lucille with ebony board and Varitone - two outputs and all the bells seems a much better guitar and it's less than the $1300 than the JoBo. 🎸
Lots of videos of Joe playing it on social media and UA-cam.
I can dig it !!! I love Epiphone guitars (i have 3, G400, LP Std +, '20 FB)! This is super sweet. Sig is great,,,needs a shot of clear coat. Great video !
GORGEOUS
Awesome video Brandon
Last year I was looking for a Les Paul Goldtop. I came across an Epiphone Slash Les Paul and was amazed at how it played and felt. The pickups were garbage but the pots were great and it had orange drop capacitors in it already. I dropped a set of Gibson Burstbuckers in it and did a 50s style wiring job. Absolutely incredible. What Epiphone is doing today is great. If they can improve the Epiphone pickups, they would own the market.
It has to be a purposeful thing at this point. There are plenty of budget Alnico pickups around that actually sound decent but if you do that then the gap between Epi and the big ticket guitars shrink. My reason for getting rid of my Epiphones in the past was more getting over the SG after owning one the neck dive had a part in that for sure and I ended up with Gibson Les Pauls and a great Dean Dime that won the matchups. Korina V is next on my list and if the Evolution pickups I took out of a modded LP will fit they are going in asap.
Very kool! Norms never disappoints…….
The new Epiphones are out of this world price and talking Les Paul Models , fit and finish pickups tuners necks . Player collector since 1967
Rad guitar for a rad dude. 🤘🏻
Great video!! 💚🎸
Norm!!!!!! you look fab sir.
Very cool. Not only can a kid or someone with a small budget get a nice guitar, but they can also get Joe's signature and proof that he personally signed it on video. I'm sure these are sold out by now.
I want one
This just makes me want the real thing even more.
I want Joe to sign mine too! I ordered one with the custom fretboard.
Awesome. Tempting. I could do a few Blues lessons. What kind of amp would go with that? Hope you guys have good success. 🙂🎸🎼✨️
That is a lot of guitar + case for the price point. Happy to see JB continue his relationship with Epiphone they really make some rock solid guitars and on the used market I have been able to own some nice ones for a fraction of Gibson prices...
Have you played it?? How do you know then?? 🤔
@@mrtambourineman6107 Would that be the only way I could know? Please enlighten me oh wise one
@@I.am_Groot well at the $1300 price point it better play and feel better than a regular Epi. I believe Brandon when he mentions the fret ends, but I heard that about the 335 inspired in videos too and mine still needed attention. and a fret level. besides maestro, case, and candy, it's double of a regular 335. so many vids hype them up, so I'd be curious if they really put more effort into this one than regular production Epis.
@@nalukeko Fret ends are a simple fix and can happen on expensive guitars but leveling should be right for anything over $1k really even around half that price. One of the reasons I prefer to play before I buy. With the Maestro and pickups + nice case and binding and inflation as it is it's priced right.
1300 bucks for an Epiphone that's made in China. GTFO, no way. I bought two of the Epi inspired by Gibson 59 LP's brand new. $529 + tax, shipped to my door. I might pay an extra 5$ for a Bonamassa Sig Model, unless it has Gibson USA pickups in it, in which case I'd pay 759. 1300 is silly stupid high. Bonamassa is a great player, but he's a one trick pony and since Live at The Greek Theater there's not a single song he's written that I enjoy at all. He's strictly in it for the money now. His ticket prices or moronic. 500 to 700 for a good seat. Not a chance Joe, ever. Sorry Norm, I normally love your content, but the fascination with Bonamassa is stale
Glad to see norm looking chipper ,
Epi rockin hard these days
Are these available for sale yet?
Joe is really a nice guy.
2:03 do they put more QC into his models? For $1300 any import should be top quality. The fret ends on my 335 'Inspired' definitely needed attention. And at a minimum need a good polish. I leveled my frets altogether.
Got mine two weeks ago. Took pics, sent the serial# to my insurance agency, and put it back in the case. I should buy one to play b/c they are a Gibson 335 in everything but name for a third of the price.
Pretty cool! When are you listing them for sale?
Binary code Joe Bonamassa Epi. Sounds amazing and scientific! 🎸 🧬
Joe. Congrats on the guitar.
One day, Norm will get this letter from Gibson or Fender:
Norm,
We consider you one of the top guitar experts on the planet. You probably have handled/played/etc. almost every combination of guitars made in the last 100 years. Makers, various parts, models all of it. We would like you to design an annual signature guitar for us. A different body each year.
I have a custom shop Gibson ES-335 Bonamassa #8. I would love to get Joe to sign the head stock. I have been to several of his shows just haven't made a meet and greet. I've been to his shows from Pittsburgh to Austin.
It is so cool that fame has not spoiled Joe, He is still a humble down to earth guy.
I would rethink what you just wrote
@@OctoberSoda Why, don't you like Joe?
@@bluescatreimer the most mundane guitar player and completely unoriginal I’ve ever seen but acts like he is.
I don't have an ES guitar and I'm debating buying this.
Are these numbered within the serial number? Like 001-2000 being made.
What's the price on this beauty and where can I find one ??? Please 🙏?? Thanks ,,, Rich
Was hoping to go to the meet and greet in Blackpool next year, sadly I head from his team that there are none planned due to covid precautions :(
Maybe next time i guess
Just got mine, how can you tell the number, according to Gibson it’s not the serial number?
Just spotted the 'Tap' Stone Henge on the display cabinet. No danger of being crushed by a dwarf up there...
How about hearing the guitar played by Joe or at least Brandon.
Also, more specs please ( body, neck, tuners, nut...)
Long live guitar nerds.
It takes one to know one.
Are the inserts for the stop tail piece under the custom plate?
The originals do.
Still waiting on me Lazarus from Guitar Center!
JOBRO is the man what an empire he has created sweet axe... Draysilver
cool
I wonder is there a premium with the signature? 🎸🎸🎸☮️😜
How about a video of the Mike Campbell Duesenberg I see hanging on the wall
Joe is people's rockstar
Sellin axes the ppl can afford too!
Pentatonic rockstar! Ha
@@mrtambourineman6107 yeah, the 60s rockers were all about mixolydian scale
@@leobender2910 ha ha ! 😂
Let's be real here. Is Epiphone better than Gibson, despite everything being said about Epiphone being a "lesser brand"?
That should double the price.
shady people mean backstabbing ,mischievous, sneaky, and suspicious. A shady person took my word and used it for theirs.today .wow ! Nice one that make me think of freddy kings one cool.
? ??
an epiphone with any type of case is already worth the money because those cases run $150-$200 brand new
There had better not be sprouting frets with the binding ha ha.
Show us the scarf joint ? 😢
Severely tempted way more sensible than the greeny from Gibson lol
How much u take for these chief?
Think they are £1100 in the U.K. ! Pricey ?

Hmmm, (scratching top of my head), but Joe don't play no epiphones unless they are old school made in kalamazoo epiphones!
3:57 he said Gibson I bet… lol
Just buy the one that plays and sounds the best to you.
Sing for your supper?.......NO!... sign for your supper :)
WHAT YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME 🤯
I'm having trouble getting through
Where' are the lefties , Epi !
Those are the type of latches I want on my coffin......oh wait.....too expensive....I mean on my urn.🎸 ⚰️ ⚱️👍
I call normans guitar today and I was told it was fake I didn't win anything. Damm imposters o well.
"Younger players"... lol... I love this constant idea that anything that isn't at least 5 grand is for kids and beginners.
varnish looks cheap to me but for that price...
Poly looks awesome actually. It won’t wear like nitro but it’s certainly not “cheap”. My only gripe about Epiphone is that they don’t scrape the binding back far enough on the front. Everything else is completely awesome for the money.
@@ryanfulldark2775 the whole "inspired by gibson" line is just amazing
Joe's actual ES-335 does NOT have a tremolo!!!
Brandon blows me away with his guitar knowledge.
Red Guitars Plays better 🤠
My favorite thing about Joe Bonamassa is not his playing. It's that he does NOT have a fat head. Although he is certainly entitled to.
Joe wouldn't be caught dead playing one. Just scribbles his name to move them out. Rent must be due.
Joe does more for guitar than any other artist. I'll die on that hill.
CC deville has done more
Sweetwater will give me one for $1300 with 55 point check and free shipping plus you get a bag of candy. I'm sure you can get this from Norm for less because some guy wrote his name on it with a marker. 🎸
C'mon Epiphone... lose the laurel and go ebony (for pity sake)
@Jon Oz PRS still use rosewood on their SE models right? I know the silver sky SE is rosewood. If they can do it, so can epiphone…
Just another Chinese made guitar or is it made in America?
how bout you play it???!!!! \
I'm still not sure why his signature guitars are Epiphone though as he would never play one live. The only signature guitars true to their name should be, if not exact replicas, at the very least same brand and specs like his main guitar on stage.
It doesn't matter if it's a Gibson or Epiphone,....they will never stay in tune and still play like crap regardless of who's signature is on it.
In this day and age,...you're only paying for the brand name because the quality isn't worth it. I've never played one that was worth the money.
This Joe guy, he a big deal guitar player or somethin'?
…… But it’s not a Gibson
I picked one of these up last week. Cracked neck right out the box. Chinese garbage
if the quality is that bad can you tell me what is lacking from the guitar?
Made in China? NOPE!
Would respect him more if that red cap said MAGA on it . . .
I'll keep playing my t
