@@HistoricTravels 23:13 in reality the reason the titanic failed to turn in time to miss the iceberg, is because they put her in full reverse (Full Astern), which caused the rudder to become very inefficient due a turbulent flow of water around it.

Although we only have one record of a passenger successfully sneaking to the front of the bow without being stopped, that doesn't mean that nobody else ever did. In fact the fact that she was able to means it was certainly possible for others to as well

Two days after the sinking-when the cable ship CS MacKay-Bennett sailed out on its recovery effort to recover bodies-the waves did not hinder the recovery of between the 316-335 of Titanic’s dead. The MacKay-Bennett spent 12 emotionally difficult days searching for bodies. There were no storms as Bright Side implies.

So the big problem with the life boats being partly filled is that it wasn't that long after the SS Atlantic disaster. The SS Atlantic sunk in a storm they filled their life boats to capacity and the passengers died because the waves from the storm sunk the lifeboats and nobody survived the sinking. The white star line learned a painful lesson from it and so they didn't fill the lifeboats to capacity unless a sinking was imminent. They didn't think the Titanic was going to sink at first.

The Titanic’s white forecastle visual footprint was sleek and even with a thin goldenrod colored line that mirrored the color of the Titanic’s funnels.
You’d think that by now Bright Side would stop using boilerplate ships when talking about the Titanic-particularly since the White Star’s Olympic class ships were distinctive in their own right.

Here's why the Titanic's story will never die: (1) she was the world's biggest movable man-made object of her day, (2) she excelled in luxury, (3) she was on her maiden voyage (of all voyages), (4) there were many celebrities of the day on board, (5) there was already a lot of talk about all her features before she was ever launched (including the whole "unsinkability" talk), (6) she was the world's newest ocean liner of her time and (7) the Titanic is the first ship in living memory to be sunk by an iceberg. It seems the Titanic will always be in our minds despite herself; unlike the ship itself, the story remains unsinkable

However, as a minor correction, some of the survivor testimonies (Frank Evans and Edward Buley who noted water close to the red port light when they left, Frank Evans - 10 feet and Buley said it was submerged when they hit the water. Others in the boat said it was last to leave port side) i read suggest that Boat 10 was actually last boat to be lowered just after Boat D. So Boat C would be the third to last Boat to leave. followed by D and then a minute after, Boat 10.
Edward Buley - No cries whatever, sir. Her port bow light was under water when we were lowered.
Frank Evans - The last lifeboat was No. 10. That was the last boat to leave the ship, sir. (…) She was about 10 feet from the port bow light, sir.

The morbid stuff is tough because they did float away and they eventually sank according to Bob Ballard's description of the events he would know. I remember seeing ice fields around the Titanic sinking area's so it might have been harder to see the victims i guess? The question today is are there remains on inside of the Titanic ship either section not on the outside no remains should visually sited at this point.If clothing, shoe's was a person as lay on the seafloor I'm sorry to hear that from its difficult the clothing should be left alone.

ocean liner designs has done several videos on the titanic, and i do wanna mention that her original design actually called for more lifeboats than the law required, "cluttering the decks" and the law played a part in all that but as i understand it the biggest factor wasn't either, it was the design and doctrine of lifeboats at the time that mostly influenced the number of lifeboats. also it was only about 12 inches worth of damage that sealed her fate, all those other gashes along the length were all in the 4 compartment limit, but about 12 inches or so of one went into the coal bunker in compartment 5, which while not watertight did help to slow the flooding in that compartment. i also agree that Ismay doesn't deserve the hate, beyond just the officer yelling at him, he would let more knowledgable people than him makes changes to the ships design, largely let the crew do their job as he knew they knew better. and there WERE storms after the sinking just not till like days later though, not that it would have mattered as people think titanic was the only shipwreck in the ocean where bodies couldn't be recovered, any wreck at sea tends to have fairly large numbers of bodies just go missing as they drift, and eventually decay (human bodies only float because of gasses that build up, they are closer to the density of water meaning they would sink otherwise)

I brought up the point about not having enough time to launch more boats with the Naval Historian Dr. Alexander Clarke, he said that Titanic's original designer wanted to use different davits that would have enabled faster launching. I am unsure why they chose not to in the end, maybe there was some issue with them or something.
Pretty sure the "you're a passenger and I'm a ship's bloody officer" is just a James Cameron thing
