Awsome mate thank you! Yeh I really need to invest in an airbrush. I really wish I had got an airbrush instead of a 3D printer as I've never used it haha
Overall it's a lovely table. I like that you demonstrated so many techniques, most of which I liked but some not so much, for example the flower tufts. Please don't take this as a criticism because now you've shown what would or wouldn't work for me, without having to waste time and materials.
Cheers man. No problem at all. I actually agree with you, I went a bit overboard on the tufts. I might pick some of them off, but I ran out of time 😀. Definitely learned a lot for next time I do a build.
This is a brilliant video bud! Really well done on the display board as it looks really amazing. It's also refreshing seeing someone make these things for the first time as a beginner could feel more confident seeing you make it and then want to do it for themselves. I fell like you made the best choice going with a more vibrant green and full of colour style instead of the more arid version. Keep up your awesome videos man 👍
Cheers man! It was good fun making it. I definitely learned a lot for next time! I do think I will take some of flowers off as the pink and blue look a bit weird together the more I look at it haha
@@JMACCSArmiesOfMiddleEarth I liked the tufts personally but I know what you mean. Sometimes there’s a saying that works well for this sort of thing “less is more” maybe this is one of those situations 👍🏻
@@JMACCSArmiesOfMiddleEarth that’s a great shout as well. Using more earthy tones for the flowers may be more pleasing on the eye. Maybe one or two bright flower patches might break up the colour in areas rather than over the whole thing. But overall I still love the character and style of your build man. It’s honestly a very good build and an informative video. You should be really happy with how it’s all turned out!
@Dan Kirby Painting Sessions Yeh great ideas. Couple of bright spots to catch the eye would be an ideal thing to do. Definitely want to try some more terrain now
I got a great £10 mini gluegun from hobbycraft, the only downside is that it pisses through glue sticks. Board looks great. I've been on a terrain making binge myself recently.
I can definitely recommend a Beeway glue gun, I got one off Amazon and that bad boy gets HOT! It's worked a charm so far. I love watching your videos, entertaining as always! Keep up the good work!
@@JMACCSArmiesOfMiddleEarth it came with a massive bag of glue sticks which I've not got through yet! I'm pretty sure you can get the replacement sticks for it on Amazon too. :)
You did an ace job on this! Inspires me to go over a display board I did about 6 years ago. This definitely increases the odds of taking home "best painted" or "best presented" at a tourney. Sound interference while making a video is infuriating! We've got a cuckoo clock that is always going off just as I've finished the perfect take. Sorry if I commented twice. I thought I had left a comment this morning, but I might have fethed it all up and forgot to hit enter. I should stop drinking paint and huffing glue. lol
Cheers my man! Yeh it definitely does increase the odds. I wish I hadn't built mine so big though as will be hard to transport as I can't drive lol. You need to leave a cuckoo clock outtake in one of ur vids 😆. Fethed, are you also a grunts ghosts fan?
Looks ace! do you make your own washes for terrain? I did a project recently and tried making some with water and inks but it came out shite. How do you make yours?
Just water and acrylic paint for mine. I was only doing it on the plaster rocks, which absorbed all the wash. I think if I was doing it on the rest of the terrain like buildings etc, I would add in some flow aid perhaps.

I know some people do, but personally, I'm too lazy, and I've never had an issue with Tajima1s tufts come back off. Perhaps if you are traveling and knocking it about a lot it might be worth it but I've never done it myself.
