Standing Pilates for Stretch, Balance and Coordination | Full Body Workout

- Join me for a 20 Minute full body standing pilates workout. This routine will strenghten the abdominals, the core muscles through balance challenges and give you some beautiful stretches. We will exercise the whole body and raise the heart rate-all with the calm, attention to detail we use in Pilates. This routine has upper body work to strengthen the back, shoulders and arms, as well as functional standing exercises to build leg, hip and glute strength, increase joint mobility and balance, and increase core strength and control. It also has some real balance challenges to test your muscle strength! Enjoy! and don't forget if you find it challenging then that means you need to do more of these exercises so feel free to come back again and again to improve your strength. Consistency is key to building strength.

What a super balance and coordination challenge x
I just wanted to comment on the standing 100. I’m gonna start doing it that way. Much easier on my neck and gives me more balance practice which I really need. So thank you for showing us something new thank you

I'm loving these 20 minute sessions & they're so easy to fit into even the busiest of days. I'm a runner with a knee injury, so I can't run at present. I've lost quite a lot of my former strength through layoffs but a 20-minute session each day gives me a great rehab workout. I'd appreciate any that focus on rebuilding leg strength without aggravating injury. Thank you Rachel.

This is helping me get back into pilates and moving my body after a really tough start to the year, my local class is always booked up and going into a class of strangers gives me anxiety! SO this channel will be great for me!

I really appreciate these classes and am grateful that you leave everything in. I would like to get my 8 year old grandson doing some with me as he has no core strength and it makes me sad when I see him get disheartened when he has difficulty during ju jitsu because of this.
Hi Jennifer, thbnak you so much for your message, I really appreciate your comments. I have avidoe you could do with yoru grandson that would be PERFECT for him- it's only 5 minutes so concenrtation wise it won't be too taxing for him and it contains lots of standing balance and core work- just what he needs to get stronger for his ju jitsu. I’m so grateful to you and your help with balance. I sustained a fracture to my sacrum two years ago from a fall working out at the gym. I now have screws in my back! I have been encountering a nagging pain where the screws are located and, therefore, find stretching extremely beneficial. Your standing Pilates seems to be my best medicine for reducing the chronic nagging. I have to admit, though, balancing on one leg is very tricky for me and sometimes have to hold onto something. Thank you for your many videos to choose from.

Very nice - I do this in my hallway as I have balance issues ( I put a fingertip on the wall so I know where I am - feet are numb and no reflex in ankles) very relaxing.

Not sure why I haven’t commented before. This was great. I did it after one of your fast flow sessions. In a week, how often should be we doing stretch and balance sessions. At the moment, I am doing one as part of every third session. These really are fantastic and make such a pleasant start to my day. Thank you ❤️

Thanks for this routine. I started today and I have a question about breathing. The breathing out time you set is too short for me: I worked quite a lot on my breathing and I would like to keep it that way, not train it back to be shorter. Does that impact the exercise in any way?
