I've been following you over a year now and swear by all your previous optimization packs all your Battlefield setups etc. I can't thank you enough mate. My new PC is amazing, having a good bios setting and decent ram kit and using you Windows install methods with your packs has made PC gaming really fun and enjoyable again like when i built my first years ago. What format should the USB be?
@@closeyoureyesandbid For Windows install media use Fat32 dude. Some older USB sticks only have the -ExFat and NTFS- File System if that's the case for you use -ExFat. Hope that helps.

absolutely nothing, most if not all of these optimisation videos don't do anything for performance. also high dpc latency is actually a bug on Nvidia its listed in there driver known issues.

@@Fezzy976 I've fixed latency issues for many people. But yeah I don't like 1 click optimizers either coz they mess a lot of stuff up. I like to keep windows my way. I only tried Tron lately after clean formatting which I kinda liked.

No way, I just got my new ssd today and I was following your windows guide because I forgot how to make installation media. Good guide as always fr33thy. I still am able to play all triple a games with a gtx 1060 and ryzen 5 2600. Solid 100 fps minimum
You have a different idea of 'play' than I have. 1080 at best with all settings on low maybe. But 100 fps minimum with any newer AAA games that looks reasonable, I don't believe it.

I didn't put his system down, I said I didn't believe he got 100 fps for every AAA game.
I would also add that if there were a way to get framerates like that the visual quality would be so bad it isn't anything to brag about.
I have been chasing optimizations for many years too but they aren't magic.
You need good hardware for good framerates.

For anyone with the problem of opening an application and it doesn't want admin. I have seemingly found a fix.
Open gpedit, head to "Computer Configuration -> Windows settings -> Security Settings -> Local Policies -> Security Options"
Find "User Account Control: Admin Approval Mode for the Built-in Administrator account" set it to enable.
in the search bar type "uac" open it and set the bar to the 2nd or 3rd one down.
This should fix it.

What exactly does the STR.exe service do? Its presence is making me a bit uncomfortable
EDIT: I asked on stream, it's a set timer resolution service, all is good.
On MSI boards, you don't need to set the motherboard to permanently boot from the USB, you can just go into the BIOS and manually select to boot from USB, and when the PC restarts it will boot from the SSD
Hi Chris! Are you using the standard bitsum or have you made any changes to it? I know that for the 5800X3D it is better to use PowerThrottling On and Balanced Power plan + Max perfomance in Windows settings. What do you think about this? There is also a question about the internet adapter naystroms. Why don't you use the internet settings? Also wanted to ask if it is relevant to use DDU as now when you install a new driver the old one is deleted.

I was running Revi OS for a few months. Installed Hogwarts Legacy recently and was having really bad stutters, even on medium settings (GTX 1080ti, R5 5600X). I've just followed this guide, tried Hogwarts on this version of windows and was completely stutter-free on Ultra settings, 1440p. THANK YOU brother!!

Everything works fine best windows for now fps and input lag i get max fps in csgo league of legends dont have any problems with csgo vac or faceit antichit u are legend man!
Does any of this become redundant when you do a Windows update?
Also FYI anyone with a AMD CPU, whilst you're in BIOS setting your XMP profile, ensure FCLK is set to half your RAM speed and not set to AUTO.
Cures the ingrained issues with AMD and stutters when infinity fabric is not set manually.

One thing i found that I needed to do after this was going to the Microsoft store and clicking library then get updates. Some apps like powertoys are installable until you update the store and the other microsoft apps in that last. Hopefully i didnt screw anything up by doing that. Just wanted to add this here for anyone else seeing that issue.

This is some cool stuff! Something I am curious about however is the need to replace wallpapers and profile images etc with a black image. Is there any evidence of this actually affecting performance in any way?
Only live wallpaper use additional ram. He changed the background to something dark because he prefers dark mode as most people that spend a lot of time on the computer do
@@Numb_ I assume you mean live wallpaper? I never mentioned that. And it isn't just the wallpaper that is changed it is the login screen, user pictures etc. My question was if this actually gives a performance gain it seems unnecessary
@@coldhanded you dont have to mention anything I was simply answering your question. Again since this is his normal install and not just for youtube he has a few settings that he personally prefers its really not that hard to grasp.

Do a fresh install, make all the tweaks and create a ISO file of your brand new windows, then upload it in onedrive and bam you will never need to reinstal windows again.
Hello Chris, awesome video, just have one question about Nvidia GeForce Experience. I see that you install it in this video but in the previous videos you don't recommend it due to lack of frames. Did you change your opinion about it or you still don't recommend installing it?
You only loose frames with gfe replay/recording turned on. If you don't use it opt out of gfe with the minimal button.

One remark here about selecting the drive in windows installation (at time 10:10). It is pretty much possible that windows will not put the efi (system 100MB) partition on the wanted drive. I had this happen windows 11 utilized the whole wanted drive as single partition and overwrote my other drive system partition replacing previous windows 10 entry. I think the way to go is instead of directly clicking "Next" on the wanted drive is to click "New", confirm the size and check if it will create all necessary partitions on the wanted drive.

Still rocking Windows 10, especially with your optimizations mate. Everything feels quicker on Windows 10, yet Windows 11 seems fresher. It will take a while to make the change for me

Thank you Chris, this work is life saving. As an older dude, can't stand modifying stuff in Windows, I don't have time for this anymore. 13900K, 4090, good ram, disabled E-cores in bios, and now I just have to play games and it works flawlessly.
P.S : Just had to install Calculator in Windows store, because I use it a lot, but that's not an issue.

Hey Chris, i noticed one strange thing! I have 2 PCs, one has a processor ryzen 9 5950x and second one intel 12600k and i'm having trouble with parking cores on my Intel processor.The power plan what you recommend only uses 4 cores of all possible cores in idle mode when my ryzen with the same power plan uses all cores, maybe it's a bug on the Intel, or I just don't understand something. But like i understand this problem is only on 12th and 13th generation processors cuz my friend test this on 11600k and park control showed on your power plan that all cores are activated!

I've been watching your videos for a long time, it is a shame that everything is now packaged into an optimization pack... some of us want to see what is going on every step of the way and maybe pick and choose what we want to disable, it is also hard to find specific content as a lot of your videos cover things that aren't in the title so we can't find it. Do you have a video on hpet?

This version of the optimization is amazing, but I really liked the previous one that had all the installers ready to silent install as well.
Maybe the next would have the script with the installers folder in C drive then it would be perfect.

@@FR33THY I lost the signal for my second monitor after installing it. But I cleaned it out with DDU and installed it again and then my 2nd monitor started working again. I also ran an updated Windows 10 setup again from a new ISO at the same time to fix some weird stuff going on, so that might have been the cause. Not seeing any difference in games though. 2070 Super is probably why. XD

Hi Chris I actually managed to do this with a 8GB flash drive been using it for a few weeks now did run in to issues last week after upgrading from a Ryzen 5 2600x to Ryzen 9 5900x except from that it has been amazing thanks for the hard work

for asus motherboards, before installing a new bios, you need to make sure that a specific bios does not need to update the MEI driver (installed every time after a new installation) or ME firmware (installed only once and sewn into the bios)
1. Install MEI drivers,
2. then update the ME firmware,
3. then BIOS...
This is primarily applicable for Intel motherboards. Not so much for AMD
I do have a Prime Z690-P motherboard and have encountered ASUS telling you to update the MEI driver only two times. It’s just more or less actually reading your motherboard’s prerequisites before applying the intended update
Hey Chris awesome content man and i appreciate your effort put into this turbo script. Quick question, will the script uninstall any default windows apps? (onedrive, teams etc.) as some of these programs i use on a day to day basis.
and one more thing please! I have my current windows 11 on a SSD Sata and want to reinstall it over to a spare NVMe that i already have in the pc, is it ok in that case to remove alll my partitions at windows installation stage? just the only thing that doesnt seem clear to me.

What do you think of O&O Shutup for windows privacy + reducing telemetry and chris titus debloater with Windows tweaks for lowering Windows processes? I had success with both of these as well as manually disabling Game Bar (renaming GameBarPresenceWriter and registry disable to significantly lower latency)
