Carnivore is such a game changer! Fruit is so inflammatory. People have to cut their sugar addiction completely, you cant 'moderate' any addiction, you be tortured by cravings if you dont completely cut it off, you keep the sugar eating bacteria alive and eventually it progresses, like any other addiction in the world. I hope she yries it, and gor long enough to heal and see benefits. People get uncomfortable and go through withdrawals and quit too early, and ssy it doesnt work.

My story is and would be longer, but compared to you, Pernilla, I have a chronic illness and have been on a carnivore-based diet, the "very radical for many extreme" form of elimination diet.... The Lions diet for a whole 3.5 years. Beef, salt and water!!! That's all, nothing else! Before that, when I was in my early 30s, I was first on keto for 6 years, then NeXT step ketovore with certain rhythms a year, paleo for about two months each time, and then lived ketovore again for about four months, that was 4 years until I have now been living a mainly carnivore diet for 7 years, the first 3.5 years as my foundation in principle in the Lions diet and for a good 4 years I have added a few things like eggs, butter, dairy products daily within limits (around a maximum of 250 ml or grams), cheese, milk or curd.... I/we have high-quality, good, healthy dairy products here in Switzerland 🇨🇭 compared to the USA, Asia, etc.! Therefore, my daily carbohydrate consumption is often less than 20/25 grams and that is usually something from dairy products! But at the end of the month, usually on the last Saturday and Sunday of the month, I also give my system carbohydrates in the form of a vegetable mix and rice as a change and because that also keeps the metabolism and friends in a better mood! I can't remember the last time I had (your problem), this flatulence, farting, feeling and being so bloated was many years ago! As soon as you eat certain amounts of fruit, vegetables, beans and dairy products every day that trigger certain biochemical processes in your intestines, i.e. the microbiome starts to break down these foods, this gas soon forms in you through the process because the intake of certain carbohydrates from your beans, fruit and vegetables ultimately always sets this process in motion and you will always have a certain "biogas plant" in you and will therefore always be a little bloated, unlike me, because I consume nothing or too little every day that causes me to fart and have massive bowel movements!!! But you can't do that in 30 days, it's easy to do in 90-120 days until everything is relaxed and working well with your metabolism and your entire system 😉 Greetings from 🇨🇭 Switzerland 🤗🤘🏻

I find vegetables lead to bloating and indigestion for me. Fruit and animal products I have no problem with. Eggs and dairy digest great as long as it is from free range chickens or grass fed cows.
After years of trying all types of diets I now enjoy eating fruit based carnivore. Half diet fruits, half animal products

Cool thing about eating this way is i don’t need to add salt to make the foods taste good as I needed with beans, grains, veggies. Also don’t need to drink water cause I drink coconut water and milk + eat lots of hydrating food. No caffeine since it’s dehydrating and my energy stays high without veggies slowin me down or making me too full to eat enough calories.

usually egg yolks are the least inflammatory part of eggs (egg whites are rly inflammatory) if you could find pasture raised organic eggs and grassfed non pasturized raw butter then you could do a bearnaise sauce. I tried AIP as well but unfortunately I'm too sensitive. I had to lean towards animal based/carnivore or lion diet (red meat, salt, water). a really interesting thing to do when you're optimizing your health is going to a naturopath to check for your vitamin and mineral levels - these can highly affect your mood especially b1 (thiamine), magnesium and b-complex. good luck on your journey~ also removing plant oils and go for tallow and ghee (some cant tolerate it) massively remove inflammations (ik tallow does that 99-100%)

I have had issues with reflux (I have a hiatus hernia). Instead of permanently taking proton pump inhibitors like omoperazole and similar, I found through elimination, that lower (not low carb entirely) aided me. Higher protein and unprocessed, so meats, keeping greens, cutting out gluten as much as possible, and cutting out as much sugar. Still like chocolate, though focused on other foods to lower cravings towards bread, chocolate etc. Only have pasta when out for meals at weekends here and there. Sourdough I have mainly if want bread again as the making of it with the sour base is better on stomach. Less potatoes though not avoid completely. Chew food at every meal as much as possible. Don't drink too much fluids while eating as it can sit on top of a big meal and encourage reflux. Try not to have too much food at a meal sitting as it can push on stomach if to point of 'feeling stuffed'. Alot of people can have hiatus hernias without knowing. Though big meals can take a while to go down for anyone. Try to eat no later than 4 hours before lie down to sleep. Try lower acid diet - more greens like spinach and kale with meal. Diet drinks too much of can cause acid stomach, due to disrupt of microbiome. I also have berberine tablet before having certain carbs as it has helped with stomach acid as I think touch of insulin resistance due to hormone changes. Also got akkermansia municiphila for gut. Only ever need omeperozole if I have too many indulgence on holiday or if caused by illness if have cold and cough too much, causing stomach jolting. Other than that, my reflux is kept at bay from lower carbs (incl starchy foods), wheat grain, eating unprocessed whole foods as much as possible, higher protein (main focus) and plenty water. Obviously there's the other things they say to help reflux like not too fatty food, less spicy, less acidic foods like tomatoes etc. You can figure out for you how much of these you can handle. Main one for me was my body not dealing with many carbs so well. And i dont take berberine much; just before higher carb meals. And i make up for taking it by having higher protein. I hope you sort your acid reflux too. ...plus lower stress as much as possible. Intermittent fasting also helps to give stomach and guts a long enough rest. Best wishes x

You're very welcome. Maybe just target the right kind of carbs for you for a couple of hours before you train? Something small or even liquid based drink with some carbs and protein mixed that won't jumble in your tummy when you exercise? I add unflavoured hydrolysate powder to coffee an hour or so before. And in the mornings I've started taking creatine monohydrate to assist with strength training and other benefits. Only started taking past few days so I can't say the full benefit to me yet. I'm mid 40s now so anything that helps eh. Sounds like you've got your reflux under control. Keep strong, healthy and happy x

Diet drinks can add alot to bloat; well change in gut microbiome for worse. I can only have short term- have at weekends only really and water, coffee and herbal teas, green tea during the week. Watching other videos, too much raw veg, fruit can cause bloat due to high fermentation and and raw veg takes longer to digest. You could also check out FODMAPS going foward. Your move to more meats and smaller amounts of fruit may help also as you looked to do more carnivore. Keeping your greens for fibre and vtamins and fresh herbs. Plenty of water consumption helps your intestines, and in the main the latter end- our bowels pull in more water to help form our stools and aid the undigested matter (fibre and whatever else) out of us. So hydration is key. Enjoy that water! You're absolutely right about stress and gut. So many things can affect our guts. Change in our guts can happen as our sex hormones change too, let alone cortisol, insulin, grehlin, leptin etc. Fish oil with DHA and EPA can help decrease inflammation and certain magnesium types (there are varying kinds and some better than others for certain things) aid our poop, as well as muscles, and aid also sleep. Great video! x
