This thing just keeps getting better and better...Fingers crossed we can wire it up and get it running with BOOST next video!
i think u need to cage it haha
أبو علي اكبر من التانكي
Sick seeing u in nz shot for the ride
Run your fuel pump, ecu and battery under the seat. Put the seat on a flip up hinge with a latch. Just a thought bro. Love ya work. Cheers
Ur a clever lad
That would be perfect for the ecu an electronics bro
Yeah I'd do the same incase you wheelie so you don't wreck the pump
@@J.P_SullivanTell my parole officer that
Run the loom inside the frame bro ,deloomed and functional
Now thats what I call a powered cart. Actually looks so beautiful. Definitely something I would leave in my living room
Thanks Rob! I can’t wait to get it finished 😁
The fuel cell looks sweet, but I think it would be best if you either sloped the tank or added baffling inside of it. Other than that love seeing the progress!
You need a chain guard to protect your fuel pump and tank incase of a chain breakage
I was just about to post the same 👍🏻
I'm glad I found your channel, I just love projects like this. Cannot wait to see it rock and roll!
You've been holding off on your tig welding skills mate! those welds looked very acceptable! the fact that most of the welds had some colors in it is a HUGE step 💥💯
One thing came to mind maybe put a washer on the bolt that mounts the tank so it’s at a very slight angle so the fuel drains to the pump easier
sorry if it's too late to say this - but you could use a monster energy 24 Fl oz can as a tank. its aluminum, light, and resealable. I saw someone use that on their race kart build. plus, its monster energy. also, if you want to keep that ecu, or any other important stuff back there safe from wheelies, then add a cage around it.
I just stumbled upon you for the first time bro. I'm hooked. This cart is absolutely BAD ASS.
Can't wait to see her go.
Thanks so much bro, appreciate it! New vid dropping this week 😁
The build quality, the video quality and how energetic you are towards this build is so awesome to watch. Thanks for another great video, friend
I've been seeing others commenting about having an increased volume right before your intake valve. As a sort of leveler of boost pressure of single cylinder engines in between intake cycles. I've been thinking about this and watching other youtubers, and they are rarely intercooled. I think having the intercooler would serve this purpose. Sorry if this comment is too late and you have already started production of it. Maybe if it runs rough, it's worth a try, but I don't think you will gain much in this setup. Looking forward to the next one!
It may not have originally seemed necessary but I would have added baffles inside the fuel tank to help prevent fuel surge
11:54 bro could be a surgeon with those still hands
that intercooler just makes it 10x better haha
To utilize space you could put the battery behind the engine under the seat and if the axel snaps the wheel might take the fuel tank with it just something to think about looks great though cant wait too hopefully hear some turbo noises ❤
Definitely keen to hear this dose. Gunna be epic.
Bro amazing work !!
Dude that looks so good looks like a fun project
Battery underneath your bum, stand the fuel tank vertically either behind the intercooler inside the nose frame or mount it above it following the steering column line.
This is a mad build man 😀 love it 😅 and thank you for taking the time to take a picture with me sorry I took so long I have autism and ADHD and I freaked out and had the shakes for a second and I got the picture before you said "hurry up I have to watch the next run" and I was appreciative of your niceness and how you took the time out of your day to make someone happy I can't wait to see you send it again and hopefully I can get another picture haha thanks for the content and the picture at adam lz world tour Australia 😊
This thing is dope! I would've mounted the tank vertically or in the front, to lessen slosh. I cany wait to see it rip!
Thanks bro! Yeah a few people have suggest the vertical tank 🤔. Let’s see how this setup goes. Improvements will be made for sure 👊🏻
Sick mate. Looking forward to the next one.
A beefy bracket for the exhaust would be nice. V-band rotates under vibration.
Looks good man, this makes me want to fix my 125cc mini chopper
So sick 🔥the little turbo looks so badass 😍🔥
I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but I figured it's worth mentioning. I know you're not going to drive this thing much and wet weather and it probably doesn't matter because you're going to run PVC sleeves over the tire but your tires are backwards. Like if you literally just swap the right to the left and left to the right you'll be right. The way you have them on now if you were to drive it in wet weather you'd be sucking water straight to the center of the wheel whereas the other way around under proper rotation those will be expelling water. Just food for thought, love the videos keep it up can't wait to see this thing going fast
Yeah I just put them back the wrong way in this video haha. I’ll for sure swap them! Thank you 😁
@@itsmikelakehah hell yeah bro! Love your channel keep up the awesome work. Even though you're doing the same things that I get to do at home your excitable demeanor on everything lightens my day to watch your videos. 😊
how the hell does this thing keep getting better and better XD
Amazing Mate! 🤠👍
Thank you bro 😁❤️
in the future put the ecu in a stainless or tupper ware box under the seat
You have gained quite a bit of fuel capacity with that filler neck. Love the build. Love your energy.
Could you test the gas tank for leaks? I would create a custom adapter that attaches from your air compressor to the gas tank. Then, blow compressed air into it to ensure it's 100% leak-proof. The battery is right next to the tank, and if it happens to be leaking when a spark occurs, you can risk a fire.
im a fanatic for the tilt
Thing lookin sick rn can't wait to see it fully done
Thank you bro! 👊🏻
When you sleeve the axle make sure you put in a decent amount of plug welds also!! 👌
love the build bro keep it up, you could probably fit the ECU under the seat as well I reckon
well done that tank looks awesome, im learning tig too i might make my own tank too
My personal preference for axles is a 25mm 980mm long axle, with the 23spline ends, it beans boring the sprocket and brake rubs to fit, and a light machine on the axle to get is perfectly straight, as they are designed to have the brake and sprocket on the outside of the bearing then a spacer and then the wheel hub, but I put both the brake and sprocket inside the bearings so had to machine it to suit. But this is a gokart that I built to take a 420cc engine that blew up, so went back to a 212cc that is worked and has 16hp at 7000Rpm and a 7500 redline, and with a 6:1 gearing it's till damn fast, 110kph with 18x8.5x8 tyres, and a bit less for 15x6.5x6 tyres, but better acceleration and braking. I've always just used a gravity fed Mikuni carb, bit I guess you have fuel injection with a electric pump, that makes things much easier for locating the tank wherever if fits.
Damn that thing sounds like a fricken WEAPON! If I can get this thing up to 100kmh I’ll be blow happy 😁🤣
That thing is sick man
Cheers Andrew!
I love this so much..
Personally I would have fixed the tank under my seat and run some sort of wee surge tank.. but shit... can't fault this wee build one bit lad
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL GOOD VIBES FROM AMERICA ❤
My dude! Another fantastic vid. The build is looking SIC!!! Have fun in NZ and catch you soon.
Looking great amazing job attention to detail helps for what it's worth centre drilling and driving a pin in both ends of axle helps line it up and strengthen it we have made similar previously and even ground them down because they were migged lasted burnouts endless donuts etc rule of thumb quarter of diameter driveshaft sized inner pin thickness and diameter of driveshaft deep both ends off had any fail fixed bunch machinery at work with similar principle turned down helps but in a pinch rotating with grinder helps love the cap fixture great job 🫡👌🏴 keep updated coming asap!!!! 😬
Loving the quality of the vids my guy 👌 keep up the good work
Thank you bro! Big focus on production value with these vids so I appreciate it 🥰
Loving it , I reckon it needs like a mini plate
Yeeeeessss!! I’ve been waiting patiently for this so glad to see this. First one on UA-cam to do it right too
Your videos give me inspiration to work on my 223cc GoCart. New tires, carb, camshaft and piston in the mail
Love the build! 👍🏼. Hope you don’t mind me say but I’d have mounted the fuel tank upright and have the fuel pump outlet facing forward. Mounting the tank that way will prevent fuel starvation when going round corners due to having no baffles. Then mount the battery under the seat.
Yayayay another episode I love this series so much keep it up mike 👏
Thanks! I’m loving making it for you guys 😁.
YOOO thats fire hope to see you in nz keep it up videos fire as always
Thank you bro! Make sure you say gidday if you’re around 😁
Another awesome vid. I'm looking forward to the end result! Great to see that you implement suggestions in the comments (also from other comments). The cart looks so sick.
That silicone(?) extender on your filler neck, is it for fuel? It will be fine for a couple of weeks/months depending what material it is but after it will dissolve into the fuel.
I'm not sure having the tank at the back is disastrous. I guess filled it would be below 5 kg total, so it's not a big impact. Extending the frame 100mm will definitely help lots.
I think you need some kind of chain guard in case of a snapped chain hate to see you flying down the road on fire. Love your work mate peace
Looks sick man, loving this build. The number plates would look a bit more in place a bit lower in my opinion but still looks good. love the build
Yeah I was thinking that too after I mounted it! We can always easily mod the mounts 😁
@@itsmikelake love it mate
Woo
another banger of a video, fav time of the night :D
Its comments like this that make my night. Thank you for watching 🥰
This thing is nice 👍
Cheers 😁
Put wheelie bars
12v lipo batteries are lighter and smaller but can drive a starter motor. People use them on their boats, I bet you can in a go kart.
You could have had a longer fuel tank if you had mounted it vertically right behind the seat and it would still have that fix for the gas swooshing around also from g forces and it would be centered. Also you could had the the tank filler in the center behind the seat instead of on the side
This is the best love to hear some dos
Bring on the dose!
kart looks beautiful legand 🤙🤙🤙
Thank you bro!
Dunno if its gunna worry it but the return might blow fuel away from the pick up or push airated fuel past the pick up, probably less chance on that style pump but keep it in mind if you start having issues later
See u in nz bro
After the turbo you should install a quickshifter
sequential :)
Its already a sequential gearbox and you need to use the clutch. A quickshifter allows you to not use clutch for upshifts. :)
@@OskarAxl wow learn sm new every day :)
Love the content bro❤ suggestion with the fuel tank: flip it up right so its less likely to starve the pump and if it's sideways and your going sideways ;) it will probably struggle on one side. Yours was a good concept though mate 😊
About time
I would really like to see suspension on this turbo cart
Flame shield between batt/tank pump? Love it though bro.. much love 🤟
Just me.? checking constantly when the next video of this thing is posted😂
Haha I appreciate this! Pushing as hard as I can to keep the content coming 😁
Same brother
looks mad, but there is a problem with the fuel tank laying down.. even at half a tank the fuel is going to wash to one side when you drift and starve the pump. might have to mount it upright. that will open more space for the battery anyway. fill up the water bottle 3/4 and swing it left and right you will see
the au in the back 👀👀🤭
Probably wouldn’t make much of a difference but the welds on the axils, may look a lot cleaner if you had them turned down on a lathe to blend them in with the original axils
Totally agree! I’m going to grind them down and sleeve the axle with some bigger steel pipe to add strength. Last thing I want is the axle giving way 😅
Awesome build. The number plate is a bit too big, would look way better if it was slightly smaller? ❤
Been watching you build this fucker since the second or third episode. Every couple of episodes I forget and have to rethink just think how crazy this thing is. How far it's come from what it was, is off its head! Be funny to see a drift wing or a fuzzy dice holder or something dumb added to it. Awesome shit man, you better fkinn jump the dawg
Came here from IG reels, so happy it got recommended to me
Appreciate you coming to watch! 😁
I would move the tank and fuel pump to the front so it’s not by the exhaust just thinking it get a bit hot like
Omg yaaay 🎉❤
👍 from Poland
Shoutout Poland! Very excited to visit the nightride boys soon 😁
I’m interested to see if it actually makes any boost without a plenum
we need the next video u such a cool man
Coming soon!
I want 1 !
If I didn't know any better, I'd think I was watching an episode of mighty car mods. All you need is your own version of Moog, the comic relief, and you'd be plagiarising there whole youtube career!
I'm ready for part 6 lol
So am I 🤣
Had my pants down there thought I was gonna hear stututu now I got wait 😑❤
Put your seat on a hinge, looks like there was plenty of room to the battery there
Cher bro ..welcome to NZ
Chur brother!
No judgment but you throw al the parts at it but cheap out on the axle? Love the build been watching for a while just curious
Fuel pump looks like a car washer motor. I thought that's what it was for a minute. Lol
🤣 I knew it reminded me of something! Hahaha
tires are backwards, pointy thread forward.
I support you boss
If fuel tank was vertical, there would be less fuel surge?
You need a fuel tank vent tube
I’ll weld this on soon 😇
Next video- I put a v8 twin turbo in a drift go kart (fuel injected)
the fuel tank looks like an exhaust muffler
Are the back tires in the good direction?
They are not haha
Love this project, just bought a mini jeep w/ a 125cc for my grandkids. I have a question, perhaps i missed it but what EFI setup are you using?
Thanks Don! The link to the kit is on the description of the part 2 video 😁
@@itsmikelake Thank you
Maybe go smaller on the rear sproket, less torque, more top end?
Yeah my intention is to change the gearing & make it longer. Especially with boost 👀
How's the progress with the ecu?! Eagerly waiting to see the challenges and how you overcame them.
New video drops Sunday!
So episode 10 will be first start and episode 17 we might hear it dose sut sut sut tutututu ffs
Such a shame to hide that fuel setup! It's neater than my cars set up😅
I would keep as much weight off the ass of it as humanly possible. I definitely would have done a motorcycle style gas tank and definitely would have put the battery behind the intercooler.
bring yah warm stuff shes getting abit cool here in NZ, will you be here for D1NZ at baypark?
Haha packed and ready to go bro! Can’t wait to feel the nz chill. I fricken wish I was at bay park. Maybe I can line up a d1nz drive while I’m there this weekend 👀😛
