  • In this UA-cam video, Jonny from The Fibro Guy delves into the neuromuscular connection, explaining its significance in movement and coordination. He addresses how chronic pain can disrupt this connection, leading to altered movement patterns and potentially deteriorating muscle-brain communication. However, he highlights the encouraging aspect that exercise and therapies can effectively restore this connection. By improving movement patterns and strengthening neuromuscular communication, these methods can also aid in reducing pain for some individuals. Jonny invites viewers to ask questions about the neuromuscular connection or any chronic pain-related topics in the comments.

The sad part for me is that the internet is now awash with articles telling us how little we need to do to get fit. The focus is on aesthetic more than anything else The messaging seems wrong and I think it contributes to a lack of willingness to engage with exercise in a broad and holistic way even for people who do not suffer chronic plan , compounding the Co-ordination problems arising from sedentary lifestyles

Thank you for this, yes I have lots of questions. What are your thoughts on feldenkrais? Are you familiar with the book The Way out, it is all about pain reprocessing therapy. Is that real? Thank you. I really appreciate all of your videos and I'm learning a lot

I was diagnosed with a movement disorder, dystonia, matching the descriptions of C. Hamonet et al last October. For months prior to the diagnosis, it was causing intermittent subluxations in nearly every joint of my body starting with my right shoulder and hip (which remain the worst/“loosest”) that “sucked” themselves back into my body with seizure-like spasms as well as the overwhelming sensation of pain uncontrolled by the strongest opiates. It is responding to treatment with Levadopa and is helped by compressive clothing. I am able to move more, but activity seems to be exacerbating it as well. I am only 24, but it is debilitating. Medical history significant for hEDS (along with several of its comorbities) and myoclonic epilepsy. Are your videos on K-tape suitable for me? I had been using them for several months when the subluxations were bad, but the tape seemed to “irritate” my nerves. Now I appear to be able to wear the tape for short periods, but I am unsure if it is helpful - it certainly helps me do the activities I love again if so - and would appreciate your opinion. Thanks :)

So I have very unstable joints and all sorts of movement issues because of a combination of hypermobility, dyspraxia and long term ill health...how can I improve my ability to do things? Even really simple movements can cause me all sorts of issues
