@mikeyerke3920 When you get a chance check out the other videos of this car, I decided to do a preservation on it due to the original condition it's in. It's turning out very nicely. Thanks for watching!!
@randolfo1265 You have a good memory, in my part of the world Cressida wagons were virtually unheard of. We did get a few sedans though but not many. Thanks for checking it out and hopefully you get a chance to watch a few of the other videos of the car, you need to see it all cleaned up!!
@amandastyles-uh6zx Agrees there are many similarities between them in the looks department. I'm also a big Volvo 240 wagon fan. thanks for checking me out!!!
@phillbuell6657 I've been in the car business since the late 80's and I've only seen one other Cressida wagon and it was the next generation, a MX72. I definitely got lucky stumbling upon this one. thanks for noticing and hopefully you got a chance to see the car's progress thru the other videos.
@pedrofernandez8729 This is the 1st MX62 I think I've ever seen and I've only seen a couple of the next generation MX72's. There cant be many left in the world and definitely not in this condition. Make sure you check out the rest of the videos in the series, it's a very impressive car. Thanks for noticing!!
@vladgladkov237 Yes it is, thanks for looking at a couple of the other videos. There will be more videos of this car coming as I finish it up. Hopefully you get a chance to watch a few more of them. Keep an eye on my channel or follow it if you would, I will start to be a little more active with some of the rare finds I come across. Thanks again for watching!!!
I hope you'll restore it to new condition and not do a restomod on it. These were top tier Japanese cars in their day. If you had a Supra or Cressida (Sedan or Wagon), you had some spare change floating around. These were the precursors to the Lexus brand. Cushy and comfortable, able to keep up with American V-8s of the day in terms of reserve power for pulling hills and passing. Quiet and large enough to hold 5 people. The wagons were work horses for the upper middle class looking for something reliable.
@tomwebber9377 You'll have to check out the rest of the videos in the series, I think you'll be amazed at what the car is returned to. Agreed on the Supra and Cressida were the top of the food chain and very similar in many ways. I cant be the one to restomod something that's survived over 42 years in this condition.
@michaelburbank2276 You are so correct, it runs and drives like it just rolled off the show room floor. This is one of my favorite finds and saves as after 42 years' time did not affect it. Thanks for noticing and hopefully you get a chance to watch the rest of the videos of the car getting cleaned up and preserved
@jamesburke9101 thanks for watching and I wish I could hear your pronunciation as I'm not sure I'm getting it correct when I try. Hope you get a chance to watch the rest of the videos of this car, it's a pretty cool car
@mikelocke4488 Agreed, it's a very unique body style for a Toyota. Make sure you check out the rest of the videos in the series, I show the car in way my detail and thru-out the preservation process
@Chadf838 If you would like to see much more of the car including its preservation progress, I have posted a few other videos of this car. It's turning out to be a very nice and almost totally original car. Thanks for watching
A nice piece of history worth restoring. 🔧

@@randolfo1265 interesting....I didn't know that. thanks for the knowledge and for subscribing!!
Beautiful ❤it was definitely inspired by the volvo wagon for design

Wow, haven't seen one of those since working on one at the dealership back in 2001.

Cresida wagon is sick !!! - fluid flush, spark fuel air - do wheels and tires then lower and drive
You've got to check out the other videos in the series, this turns into possibly the nicest left in the country
No lowering. Just drive this gorgeous Japanese Buick and love it for what it is.
@@tomwebber9377 I cant be the one that modifies it from stock, it's just to nice
Wow, I wonder how many of them still exist? That is really rare.

@@scottscars4153 Yes I just subbed. Love old Toyota vehicles, Cressidas were as well built as Volvos were back when.
@@scottscars4153 Any idea how much they cost new?
@@pedrofernandez8729 I looked the MSRP up online and it showed new they were $12463 as a base price. Definitely a pretty expensive Toyota back in 1982
@@pedrofernandez8729 These are the cars that built Toyota's reputation. They were very high quality cars and built to last back then

Saw one of those a couple hours ago in my driveway ...... 😂. Replaced the fuel pump and got it running again this weekend 😅
@jamesduke4957 Super COOL!!! Did you just acquire it or have you had it a while? What year is yours? There can't be that many left.
Kinda Volvo-esque . Why didn't you raise the hood? Is there a community of critters under there?
