Technically the bottom section of the ration should be eaten first and then you work your way up to the carrying handle as the day goes on, that way you still get to use the handle.
You should also check out Nail. Career. Education. Suzie has a very soothing voice, and it's so relaxing, watching her gently craft little acrylic nails.
I’m laughing so hard every time you camera-translate something and it says stuff like “evil” 😂 also: the sound played when it translated to “ass” made me choke on my tea.
You made a big mistake by heating vegetable kavjar - its delicious as cold food. Basically most of tint products needn't to be heated in post-USSR countries
"Lobster porridge" - that was funny. It was pearl barley, it's widely spread in countries of former soviet union. It's cheap and common to cook porridge with beef or pork as a main course. (sorry for my english)
Avicenna Nostrodamus your English is perfectly understandable and as a almost native speaker ( speaking American English since age 4) you use better grammar than some native speakers!
It's actually because the name of pearl barley in Russian is "perlovka" and I'm guessing the translation app interpreted the last half of the word ("lovka") as "lobster". The translation app as a whole did a really bad job identifying and translating the words :P Edit: just looked back at the video and it specifically says "kasha perlovaya" (pearl barley porridge), so the "lovaya" bit misled the translation app.
It works pretty good for other languages that use the same alphabet that we're used to. French, English, Italian, Spanish, etc. They each have their own unique characters, but the base alphabet and method of constructing words from phonemes is similar, so they're easier to translate. Once you get into cyrllic or ideagram languages like Mandarin and Japanese, you're basically cast adrift by translation systems.
1st opened was dinner 2d was lunch 3d breakfast It is not a soup with meat, it is called тушёнка - something like corn beef. And you don't warm up vegetable caviar 😊
I'm from Kazakhstan and whenever I tell people that, they always say a borat quote in response. I don't have a problem with it because I think borat is a great movie. But for people that can quote borat like the Bible, they can't point Kazakhstan on a map to save their lives
So with those "vegetable caviars" - when my Russian friend makes them they're served cold over bread. So heating it up might have been the wrong move in terms of texture. Cool video though!
I love how watching your videos, I always leave with more knowledge than I had before. I always learn something new from your videos and I love it. I love learning about new foods or countries and their customs, where they're located. So when you say " I hope you learned something " Emmy, I did. You teach me so many things that I would have otherwise not known. Also, I love the endings of your videos, that's one part that I really look forward to and always enjoy cuz you're so silly and you always cheer me up, make me laugh and put a smile on my face. Again, congratulations on finally hitting ONE MILLION SUBSCRIBERS!!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As you probably know Emmy, soldiers love mixing up and inventing new ways to eat MREs (and other rations) so your Apple Cider experiment is right in line with that tradition.
Robert Courtemanche so true, once you've lived off of alternating cans of ravioli in tomato sauce or meat and potato soup for three weeks straight due to lazy logistics clerks... one has no choise but to go creative or go ballistic XD
Emmy, what I think you should consider doing is taking good quality pictures of the package and adding them in the end of the video, for about 3 seconds per photo. This way someone can translate it for you. I would be happy to do so for this ration if I could actually see and read the text, because as it is in the video it`s very blury. Love your channel!
You are great at describing the flavor/taste of the food. I’ve always been so jealous of people who can write and use words so well that you can immerse yourself into their story. Amazing! Love you Emmy! God bless!
Here's the Dollar Tree version: All-Natural Premium Black Tea Bags, 100 ct. Armour Potted Meat, 5.5 oz. Frutessa Strawberry Jam, 17.6 oz. Kendale Farms Chunky Beef Vegetable Soup, 15 oz. Margaret Homes Tomatoes, Okra & Corn, 14.5 oz. Original Saltine Crackers, 8 oz. Southgate Beef Stew, 15 oz. Southgate Corned Beef Hash, 10 oz. Sugar in the Raw Packet Box Village Harvest Green Curry Brown Rice Pouch
Google translate app was amusingly useless. It would be much easier to directly type the words into the app, though it wouldn't be nearly as funny. Also, "kasha" (каша), means any porridge, not specifically the rice one. The first can was labeled "рисовая [rice] каша", and the second one was "перловая [pearl barley] каша". Also, the other dinner can contained just canned beef, not soup. So it kinda explains why the liquid was so salty.
No utensils or sundries??? That's odd, they usually come with that. But Emmy, I love the way you describe what you eat. You describe it so well, I feel like I've tasted it. You do a better job than most food critics or people who taste and describe food for a living. But you are absolutely amazing at describing what you eat that again, I feel like I know exactly how it tastes. Great job as usual Emmy.
I'm rewatching your ration videos. I dont know why but they make my day so much better. All your videos do. Your voice and demeanor make me feel calm and happy. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job on your videos. Your amazing Emmy! Hope your doing well. :)

I just discovered your channel, and i'm so happy I did. I love how you describe how things tasta in ways that I can actually imagine and your voice and demeanor is so calming and cheerful. Keep up the great work.
This dinner stew was rather not a stew at all:) i guess it was just a type of canned meat which you should eat cold, just cut it and place it on the slice of bread. It contains meat and some kind of natural jelly and it's delicious. Here you melted this jelly and it created some sort of "soup" :)
It was canned stewed beef, but you can hardly call it a stew. It consists of beef itself, fat (also beef), onion, salt, black pepper and bay leaf. According to standards, total fat content must not exceed 17%. You can eat it cold, but I assume eating it heated is much better.
D1splaced i was sure it's something we have in Poland:) we make meat in the natural gelatine and we eat it cold:) based on your comments i know i was wrong:)
Well, there is some gelatine derived from the sinews, but the exact amount can vary. In Poland it's called tuszonka, so if you are talking about it, you are not wrong.
Logically, the bottom meal would be the first to be eaten, leaving the other two attached to the carrying handle. Sincerest congrats on the million subscribers, Our Lovely!

Why do you guys always say your English is bad? Do you just really crave the compliments? Your English is great.
Thanks for the info!
Avicenna, I wonder why it seemed to say it was made of lobster? Do you know what kind of meat was used? So interesting! Thanks for the information.
