I used a cheap trail cam to prove that my land lord entered my apartment without my knowing or permission while I was at work! I got suspicious when I came home one day to find scratch marks on my brand new dining table and a weird dent in my bathroom sink. Turns out that creep went in there out of "curiosity" with a couple of tools to "check the air vents". He apparently put his tool box on my expensive table and dropped a hammer in the sink while standing on it with one leg. I still don't know what he was really looking for in there, because he did that repeatedly until I called the cops on him. Get one of those cheap trail cams, I tell you!
@@debb4099 I thought he may have installed something like this too, but I searched the whole apartment together with a very cool officer that had seen similar things before and there was absolutely nothing. That's the creepy thing, I have no clue what my land lord was actually doing in there. Sadly I only had one trail cam installed right at my apartment door, so I couldn't see anything else but him entering with the master key. Everything else is according to his statement he gave to the cops.
@@Project_2501 you would need a camera in every room to know exactly what he did. Sounds like u need some inexpensive nanny cams everywhere. I think maintenance men & landlords just want to see what you have out, like obvious signs of drug use. They would be stupid & steal anything, unless they are very desperate and reckless.
@@do7hemath937 Well, I got 3 in total. One more expensive one that sends live footage to your phone, facing the entrence door and 2 cheaper ones where I found the damaged furnature, which only do photos and you can only review them later at your computer. The cheap ones were like 30 bucks each, the expensive one about 120 USD but worth it. But the prices went up a lot I figured.
Hi..! In your Last scenario "Monitoring Traffic Flow" isn't it not wise to place the w/a strap on a fence post nearest the Entrance...? I mean, one could stop, grab the Camera and then drive on into the Business..?
I put my cameras right where people can see them. I also make these lock boxes for the cameras any camera. I mount them to something solid that somebody can’t pull up. I make money setting up cameras to catch people doing illegal things.
@@Demy1970 the guy asked if "metal" would reflect, but I think he meant "Glass" idk, but the dropcam requires wifi. The best solution seems to be a dashboard cam! They are small, record through glass record at night, use a memory card and are activated by movement. BUT.......they work off your cigarette lighter 12Volts D.C. but I'm sure there's a way to power them with batteries or a small solar panel. & it seems like most of them are a piece of junk.
I was just using it as an example with the dropcam that it works through the glass for the video and camera component. I don’t see a problem of it by working through the glass to take pictures. I am going to check mine in a little bit.
@@Demy1970 The way it was explained to me is trail cameras (not Drop, ADT, RING, doorbell, harbor freight home security cameras) start recording 2 ways, movement and body temperature. They don't pick up body temperature (humans or animals) through glass. I needed some1 to let me know about recording through glass because my plan was to set up a cam in a house without electricity or internet or a vehicle or RV sitting in the yard. I didn't want to use a regular trail camera because people would just steal them. Alot of people like yourself have given me advice and it seems like using a cellular trail camera would be the best choice to record & STORE activity on my property.
My trail cam is flashing red when it takes pics and video doesnt work. Any ideas? It specifically says in the book it wont have the red flash so it wont be seen at night yet it still does
Useless. Idc about placement location ive been through like six videos trying to figure out how to link these things to my phone let alone activating it

Can you put this camera inside your window to point outside, will the metal reflect?
I've asked this question on about 5 or 6 different video comment sections.
Let me know if you get an answer anywhere from someone.
I use a dropcam camera inside a house through the window for pictures and it works. However, each camera might be different

How long do the batteries last on the cams or are they solar charging? How much is the Verizon service? Thanks!

Hey I called the number but it's not active. I have questions
What is the name of the camera? Where do you purchase the camera?
