It is a funny looking belt hatchet isn't it? Haha. I started laying the 1x30 on its back so the muscle memory of sharpening on stones was the same. It worked so the method stuck haha
They really are super handy. I also have a larger 4x36 which is nice for shaping wedges but more often than not i find myself using the little 1x30. I'm a fan of how many different grit belts are out there for it.
Great little tip on putting the bolt on first I could've used that a month ago. And I'm totally taking the idea of laying the 1×30 down. I frigging love that! So much easier looking than standing up.
Haha exactly man!!! I got used to sharpening on stones first so when I tried the belt sander I kept it in the flat orientation for the muscle memory. It worked well so I kept doing it haha
I appreciate it man!!!! When I first posted the Becker collection the views were lower than the axe stuff but they have climbed up since. I will definitely keep it in the rotation 👍
Thanks man!!! That's one of those tips that makes it so much easier! Also using a set of hemostats in the shop for small parts like that is super handy.
Great idea laying down the 1x30. Nice job on that long skinny axe-thingy

Nice! Little belt grinders are a handy thing for sure. Gotta love the 16!

You should have felt bad lol. Glad you spent the time to clean it up. Nice knife and great video.
Haha right! It's back in action now! I should probably get back to axe content before all the subscribers make an exodus lol.
@Nsvens89 do you. Who knows, you might gain followers. Great video

I actually like knife content! I'm gonna putting up some more myself as well. It was fun watching you go over this BK 16.

You did a great job on that man! I love it! That's how I was taught to shorten a bolt too.

@TheCandBExperience exactly! A fair amount of cursing happened over the years before I smartened up haha
