You spent $9000 and have a shower curtain? That's crazy. I mean, it's really nice porcelain tile but nobody's gonna see it through that curtain. Poor planning. Spent too much on tile. You could've gotten less expensive tile and a decent shower door.

Speaking as a member of the general public, who I'm assuming you make these videos for, if you want ppl to subscribe to YOUR channel, learn to interact with ppl a little better. You can't be happy-go-lucky in your videos then act entirely different in the comments section. Lol! You've had the channel for four years and only have 11K subscribers. And you're based in L.A. too. Maybe plan the videos a little more. Are we to just assume that you had a custom shower door made when you never mention it and all we see is a shower curtain? What about the shower pan? We never saw that either. It's video. That means visual. We need to see it. It could be I'm just misunderstanding the purpose of your channel. Is it just tips for homeowners? At any rate, good luck with it.

I noticed he never showed us the floor of the shower or if a seat was in the shower. No shower door and $9000 is in sane ridiculous for what we're seeing. After seeing this I'm happy with my tub!!!

That's just not for you. I have a ton of clients that often pay 20k, 25k... Even 35k in their bathroom. It's more what can you afford VS what do you like and want.

June 2022 and we just paid a whopping $9000 to have our tub removed, with the promise that we would end up with a wide shower by gaining the width of the tub sides. Instead, we now have an unusable shower that is so narrow that we can't raise our elbows to wash our hair, without banging them on the shower door on one side the wall on the other side! We did get a cool, customized niche, but no tile and a slick shower bottom. We got a waterproof paneling which was sealed in all corners. Yes, we should have done our homework.
With my wife the niche would be the entire wall.
My husband, who's 81, is disabled from a fall years ago that shattered his ankle. He has no bones in that ankle and has to wear a brace. The ankle does not bend. We want to convert a tub/shower that's old and the faucets leak and have a walk-in shower for him installed. We had Re-Bath from Lowes come and give us a price. It was $9,600 after $3,000 discount! No porcelain tile and no glass door. That's a ridiculous price and we're not going that route. They will strip down to the studs, but still.....
We only have one bathroom. And a very small and tight bathroom i want a walk in shower i just had partial knee replacement surgery on October 2021

A average bathroom remodel is $9000 for the whole bathroom so I agree $4500 for tub to shower conversion is more like it .

THAT price for a shower that doesn't even have a shower door? Who does that? Here in San Diego, you can get a full beautiful shower with specialty tile, a shower glass panel (so you don't deal with a door), for a cost between $6,000 - $11,000 max. And that's with new floated walls - so they are straight. I'm just in shock at that cost. Wow!
Most of these showers come with lifetime warranties, are easy to clean. Ask your tile builder if he will circle back in 20 years to do something about your mold issue.
I'm in England and even with the recent price increases, what we're seeing in the video can be done for around £2000.... With a decent shower front 🤦🏼♂️ this guy hgas no clue and I bet my last pound that he got a tradesman in and didn't lift a finger himself 🤣🤣

Bruh, your starting range for price is 9000 dollars. Are you crazy? A fiberglass tub to shower surround conversion is 2k max. Do your homework and quit price gouging. I get tile cost more, but give people options for crying out loud.

There are a lot of people bitching about the price. Price depends a lot on location and quality of work and materials. I've done bath remodels for 25 years in the Dallas/FW Texas area, and have 5 years experience with shower glass. Doing shower glass I was in 5-15 showers a day measuring and templating for frameless glass for remodels and new construction. I can tell you that there vast spectrum of quality of workmanship. Several times a week I would discover fundamental problems like the curb or shower floor sloping away from the drain, walls over an inch out of plumb, horrendous tile work and lippage, factory tile edges showing with bar codes exposed or snap cuts exposed.... Sometime showers had to be torn out and redone.
If you factor in demo and debris removal, permits, materials, fixtures, ... and depending on the location and going rates for quality work, $9000 is fare. There are companies in my area getting 10k for a crappy plastic slide in shell, now that's a ripoff.
I'm having a tub to shower conversion now. I was charged $8400 for everything including the glass. I thought it was fair, but the a nosey neighbor gossiped that we got ripped off so I got paranoid about it. Glad to see your comment, it made me fell a lot better about what I was charged!

Yes, you can. Depending on materials you choose, 2 days to 12 days.

If you can do ALL this work for 7k, give me all your info { License, insurance, work comp etc} then I will recommend you to clients that can't afford our services? if not this is a waste of time.

If I'm capable o tackling a tub/shower conversion, I do not need such an elaborate explanation as to what the recessed niches are for.
Great job... I guess that cheap curtain will give it your company special signature touch, that also complements the poor design in the niche. The whole thing looks like store shelves .. bad. Bad guidance from your part to your client or just your lack of style.
The curtain was temporary, we installed a custom glass shower door. The homeowner is actually a designer and chose to have the shampoo niche where they wanted them that fit there lifestyle.
That’s the beauty of life is that everyone has a different story.

$9000??? As a jumping off price? LOL - Also, I would have liked to see the floor rather than the "explanation" of the shampoo niche and soap dishes. The shower head/hardware was decent enough but there was a shower curtain ($10) instead of a glass door. Just not realistic pricing for the underwhelming look.
I can do that for around 3000.00 with glass door.
