Playing minor 2-5-1 is usually a mysterious process for most. There is a lot of harmony that surrounds this subject and how to approach it. Rest assured these Minor 2-5-1 basics will allow you to feel confident when playing this type of harmony.
Very clearly explained for a novice like me. Thank you! 👍
thanks for your time man, concise and solid talks as always.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
Nicely done. Thanks for putting the URL-anchor to your teaching material right there in your text. You guys are actually _thinking_!

Your good simple one-sheet of three different views of things has now arrived at my printer. Excellent. Apropos.
Thank you!
You're very welcome David!
Probably the best explanation of the 5th mode of the Harmonic Minor I’ve seen (along with Ken Hewitt’s). But your solos could have been funkier over the ii-V-I. 😅 Amazingly, you weren’t in a hurry.
Brilliant! Very well explained : )
Thanks Alex!
i have a question..
we can use one major scale to creat II-V-I,3 types functional harmony,
but need 3 different type minor scales to make II-V-I ,
is that means these minor scales don't have full functional harmony (tonic, dominant and subdominant) like major?
Lovely teaching. Can you please do an advance minor 2 5 1?
Thank you Jake! Your request is noted and we will have more minor 2 5 1 podcasts coming up soon!
can you share some minor 251 patterns or licks?and how to use them connect with secondary dominant and major 251...confused...
11:41 really fun! ;)
Thank you Aburaage! Your request has been noted - secondary dominants means any 5-1 motion, you can substitute the "5" as a dominant7 chord. As far as major 251's, major 251 patterns/licks will vary from minor 251 patterns/licks since the resolutions will vary naturally. Thanks again for watching, hope this helps!
