People who put down CBR’s have never ridden one. They are unbelievably smooth, comfortable and reliable. You can run peanut like through that motor and it will still go 100,000 miles.
You hit it on the nose. Just bought a 2023 CBR 600RR. It’s comfortable love no rider aids great bike just to rack up miles and look good. At a glance it looks like the fireblade takes a trained eye to know that your not on a liter bike. Overall great in town ride smooth and more than enough power for almost all of us. It will definitely get you in some serious trouble stock.
I know this is an older video, but I love my cbr600rr. 2013, cherry red, toce exhaust, super smooth around the city and launches like a rocket at high rpms. It's a fantastic super sport bike for someone looking to get on a super sport
after watching 30+ cbr reviews it comes down to one word. SMOOOOOOTH. Owning one, I agree. No bike comes anywhere close to the overall perfection and predictable delivery of the CBR. All through their engine range. Makes for great stability accelerating through corners. Left my friends Kawi for dead and his is ten years newer.
They haven't been leading the way over recent years, but out of the Japanese boys I'm a Honda man. My VFR was bullet proof the V4 is stunning. Honda is quality merchandise. And when they get it right their bikes are unbeatable. I had an 09 Blade without any rider aids, but was just so balanced very linear power delivery I loved it. I am very interested in the upcoming new Blade.
Honda might take some time to get there, but when they do, it's with a bike that just plain works lol. I am also very interested in the new Blade! Sooo many sweet new bits and bobs
As for the jerkiness of the throttle it's normal as you never rode a super sport bike. You just need some hours to ride to "tune your hand muscles" to treat that throttle and make the bike respect you ;) It's obvious you are very impressed with bike's behaviour. Your Tuono is much smoother as i can see in your videos. The CBR1000RR is a another animal. The engine feels to have much more power specially at low and midrange. If you try it once keep that in mind ;) Nice review
Yes you can tour on a 600cc or 1000cc sport bike. Like you said, a strong core helps or a lot of Advil. I toured on my R1 for 8 years and prior to that a CBR900RR for 9 years - the most rewarding years in my riding career.
Seen a dude with a cbr 600rr... and I was on my lil ninja 300... and i beat the shit outa............. my fucking brain because I couldnt decide why I didnt go for a 600 off the start!
someone is selling this bike for 6500 with 10,000 miles . it has minor scratches has toce exhaust and integrated turn lights . Is it a good buy or should inot?
You need to try a triumph 675 triple - like a street triple or daytona. The daytona R has a slipper clutch and quick shifter. Theres also a new speed triple that has a lot of the electronic gizmos people want now
The CBR’s are known for that touchy zero to quarter throttle action. It’s jerky at that point. But anything over quarter throttle it’s smooth as silk. I’ve only ever owned 600cc sport bikes since I started riding back in 1997. The 1000s are only fun to me on the interstate. But then again who needs to go 180 mph every day? It’s not as fun to cruise them in the city because you always wanna open it up. But on a 600, I can cruise or go fast, and bonus I can turn like crazy. I also like not having abs option. My last bike had it and that’s part of the reason I just purchased a CBR600RR. I wanna be in control of my bike. Anywynice bike and nice video 👍. Maybe less “gd” bombs though 😃
Cool sound effect at 5:56, haha. The first supersport I rode was a '15 Ninja 636, love that bike as well. When I got back on the BMW I was saying wth why are these handlebars so damn high.
Hahaha the sound of straight up fear. I need to get my hands on the ninja 636. Dude also, I just watched your video tearing it up through the mountains on with the Ninja 300 guy and jesus you ride hard haha. Train me lol
+DukeOfDC the best is training at your own pace man, without anyone pushing too far out of your comfort zone. This is my 13th month riding, but when I started I did a lot of practicing in parking lots (as seen in my older videos) . Considering my first bike was 1050cc without TC/ABS and lots of torque, I think I fared okay, smaller bikes are much easier to practice on.
Cuban Rider You're easily one of the best riders I've seen in the motovlog game right now. I'll have to get out to a big parking lot and run through some drills on the Tuono.
Let me know if you find a good location, I'll run up there and join you. Q3s are perfect for training, they kept me upright when I made less than smooth maneuvers.
I'd probably go for the Daytona 675 R if I could swing it.. I think the new 2017 Fireblade will still be more of a road supersport than a track bike. I'm still hoping they'll release a V4 superbike to compete with the R1M.
You really do need to try out a 636. My friend has a 09 600RR and my 05 636 pulls on him pretty easily. The CBR is a better built bike tho and like you said its super smooth and it also comes with a built in steering damper.
+DukeOfDC Hey buddy, love your videos! I've got a 2012 ZX6R with RAM AIR, I'm touring on it this weekend getting about 5 hours of riding each day, and it's so fun but a little hard on my arms and shoulders with the heavy backpack:) greetings from Norway and keep having fun on motorcycles and drive safe;)
No offense taken my friend! I agree that it takes many rides in different conditions to really get to know a bike. I call my videos "First Rides" as an attempt at a disclaimer, but i should mention it clearer in the videos themselves.
Good questions. I believe they have tweaked it in some way since 2007, but you would need to look at a back to back spec sheet to see if it was worth paying the "newer" premium.
You can scroll down here and see how much improved to the 600rr at the 2007 model www.topspeed.com/motorcycles/motorcycle-reviews/honda/2007-honda-cbr-600rr-ar13717.html Im a beginner so i never ride one before. Just trying to find out... what bike to buy. Thanks
I thought the 13 and up CBR 600's had a slipper clutch? I always liked those bikes, I just wish they had a gear indicator. I'll probably get a GSXR 600 or 750 for my next super sport. Unless they actually make a new R6. Good video
Very possibly could be, but it just didn't feel like it had one right off the bat. Again though, it definitely could have one. A gear indicator would have been sweet. The fuel gauge was a really nice feature that is missing from my Tuono.
DukeOfDC Yeah I think GSXR's and Daytona's have fuel gauges and gear indicators. Such a convenient feature, the low fuel thing is annoying.....had to stop at the gas station on my way to work, I was almost late lol
+MrKdr500 Excuse me all to fuck. Did I mention racing? No. Honda cutting the 600 is a cost cutting and profit exercise as the 1k covers 600 power levels. Or does that not compute to you?
Dude, wtf lol. Why are you calling me an idiot? I just stated that Honda is no longer putting money into R&D for the 600cc class as they are focusing on the new fireblade and 250rr.
I recently pick up a 2016 zx6r and it's incredible. I had rode a 2016 cbr600rr also and feel the cbr was maybe a little more comfortable but the zx6r is faster. Hell if I lived near dc instead of Ohio I'd bring the ninja out for you to try.
+commercialrider dude I would absolutely love that as the zx6r remains to be my favorite 600cc super sport even having never ridden one haha. Congratulations on your purchase!
+DukeOfDC The zx6r has been a dream bike for me since I started riding and I couldn't be happier. Thank you for the congrats and maybe I'll get in touch with 650ib and ride back to dc with him lol jk. But it looks like a beautiful area to ride so maybe not this year but maybe next I'll come out that way.
IMO unless ure in autobahn u dont need a liter bike. I doubt anyone can even ride a 600/636/675r bikes to full efficicency when they ride. Also the 600s and liters are almost same speed until u get to go to jail speeds. So unless youre a runner and dont plan to stop or you ride with great skills and can ride the 600 to full efficiency or live in autobahn or ride the tracks (even tho i prefer 600s on the track like the r6 which SUCKS on streets but a beast on the tracks. Riding position kills the street comfy-ness for the r6 but the high rpm slingshot of the r6 is a great track bike so you hold it in high rpm range on the tracks and its a beast but for the streets the cbr is most comfortable due to seats and riding positions so much better), so liter bikes more like a bragging rights or cuz the liter bikes do look better and has more special things for them can be reasons but for power only wise. I doubt there is many people who rides a liter bike that can even ride it to its 60% of full capability of the bike. Liter bikes so crazy powerful if u really put it down on the road. It gets to 0~180 real quick and youre pretty much a 1% who ride or die mentality. 600s are more than enough of power. And they are easier to toss around and nowadays the size isnt much smaller either.
The new 250 is going to be very different to the mc22, Honda is again probably trying to aim for the Asian markets with that bike. The mc22 was an inline 4 which made it special and had all of the gizmos you'd ever want in a bike from that era. The new 250 is supposed to be a 2 stroke, which is a real disappointment
you should try out my Vulcan Custom 900. lol, just kidding. It's like riding a dinosaur compared to these bikes. Someday I hope to transition into a sport/touring bike or something.
I prefer my CBR1000RR to be honest. I had a 600 but i like the power better because i like to race my friends but i have gotten in far more trouble on my 1000 then when i had 600
the seat on the cbr600rr has never been a good seat. it’s a flat piece of plastic with not much cushion. need to sit on other 600s or try a long distance ride.
Why does every motorcycle video have to have cussing in it? My 5 and 2 year old sons enjoy watching motorcycles on UA-cam as much as I do. Just wish there were atleast ONE family oriented motorcycle videos to watch

Getting this bike delivered today. Can’t wait to try it out.
after watching 30+ cbr reviews it comes down to one word.
SMOOOOOOTH.
Owning one, I agree. No bike comes anywhere close to the overall perfection and predictable delivery of the CBR. All through their engine range. Makes for great stability accelerating through corners. Left my friends Kawi for dead and his is ten years newer.
Thanks for the comment! This info is very valuable to potential buyers
Best review out there! The man is actually riding and reviewing at the same time! Keep it up!
Thank you! Check out some of my newer videos too :)
I love my 600 rr makes my private parts tingle
I have the exact same bike and i love it dearly. No electronics but since its my first bike i have nothing to miss.
It's a fantastic bike nonetheless
I love watching your videos with the reviews you do and randomness they are a lot of fun to watch
I own this bike and mine actually has abs on it and I love everything about this bike
That's awesome man!
They haven't been leading the way over recent years, but out of the Japanese boys I'm a Honda man. My VFR was bullet proof the V4 is stunning. Honda is quality merchandise. damn that countryside looks gorgeous!
Yes you can tour on a 600cc or 1000cc sport bike. Like you said, a strong core helps or a lot of Advil. I toured on my R1 for 8 years and prior to that a CBR900RR for 9 years - the most rewarding years in my riding career.
lolol hit up the drug store on the reg hahaha. Also, I am very impressed that you toured on the R1 for so long!
MY DREAMMMMM BIKE
What about the 2013-17 Triumph Daytona 675R?
Seen a dude with a cbr 600rr... and I was on my lil ninja 300... and i beat the shit outa............. my fucking brain because I couldnt decide why I didnt go for a 600 off the start!
can you explain wht happened there when u almost lost the bad end.?
I have a '13. love mine!
someone is selling this bike for 6500 with 10,000 miles . it has minor scratches has toce exhaust and integrated turn lights . Is it a good buy or should inot?
Last breed of the cbr600 :(
Last breed of the pure sportbike :*(
yeah besides 3+ other companies
Armoni Visuals yeap. ..r6 is still there
the r6 is not pure anymore it has too many rider aids
600rr died after 2009 model.
Yeah that wide turn was all you lol had a fixation or something.
thanks for the ride along
You need to try a triumph 675 triple - like a street triple or daytona. The daytona R has a slipper clutch and quick shifter. Theres also a new speed triple that has a lot of the electronic gizmos people want now
I have the same bike. I cannot lock up my rear wheel with the brake. Is your bike that way?

I actually want the cbr600rr as my next bike, heard from you on Joego channel, have some pretty good videos man keep it up! subbed! ;)
Thank you!! Appreciate the support man :)
The one I'm after 🤤
Get it!! Live your best life

same here, love mine. 2014 model.
I dont know man, my 2015 R1 really leans into those corners and I find it pretty comfortable.
What gopro do you have?
Duke of DC, do you think the cbr600 is the best 600cc class sports bike out there?
Not sure as this is the first and only I have ridden, but the Ninja 636 has the upperhand in a lot of fields.
there have been a couple of 600cc super sport shoot outs and the Suzuki gsxr6 come out on top at some and cbr600rr won some.
Yamaha r6 is stronger powerfull i dont know if it's better then cbr 600 rr
You really do need to try out a 636. My friend has a 09 600RR and my 05 636 pulls on him pretty easily. The CBR is a better built bike tho and like you said its super smooth and it also comes with a built in steering damper.
Well, that was unexpected to see ;p somehow, seeing a 600ccm japanese supersport on that channel would be the last thing I would bet my money on xd
+DukeOfDC Hey buddy, love your videos! 7, 800$ for a brand new one right now too! too bad insurance is so damn expensive
Sabin Tee 1 year ago i bought this awesome brand new bike for 11500 €, why you said 7800$?
I really enjoyed Freak Fast Freddy's motovlogs!! You guys should go check his videos out of his CBR 1000!
as always great review
No disrepect but you can’t judge a bike on one ride. If you haven’t ridden other 600cc sport bikes
No offense taken my friend! I agree that it takes many rides in different conditions to really get to know a bike. I call my videos "First Rides" as an attempt at a disclaimer, but i should mention it clearer in the videos themselves.
DukeOfDC thanks for the reply, yes thanks for understanding it’s not a dig at you just an observation, great videos my friend
Is riding a 2007 or higher cbr600rr model much different then a 2004?
Good questions. I believe they have tweaked it in some way since 2007, but you would need to look at a back to back spec sheet to see if it was worth paying the "newer" premium.

Loved this video...Greetings from India :)
Thanks man!! Greetings :)
Isn't Honda discontinuing this bike?
2017 cbr600rr is no more
Yeah in Europe because of Euro 4 compliance
I thought the 13 and up CBR 600's had a slipper clutch? I always liked those bikes, I just wish they had a gear indicator. I'll probably get a GSXR 600 or 750 for my next super sport. Unless they actually make a new R6. Good video

I think that dudes jacket is a little too big
no need to go 150 mph, you are being safe and not an idiot.
beautiful
Never liked having a chrome swing arm on a black bike
Yeah, it takes a little away from the stealth look for sure.
Love it.considering a toce exhaust on mine...
That would sound beastly
They are quitting the 600 class as the 1ks have all the different modes now so you have any power and rider aid configuration you want or need 😎
oh! So AMA are going to have different classes now for different rider modes? Lmfao...like the idiot in this video you don't have a clue!
Is a 600 worth customizing
Any bike can be worth modifying
you lost the back-end cuz of ur tire
not with yamaha r6 & r1 the sitting position is aggressive..
I recently pick up a 2016 zx6r and it's incredible. I had rode a 2016 cbr600rr also and feel the cbr was maybe a little more comfortable but the zx6r is faster. Hell if I lived near dc instead of Ohio I'd bring the ninja out for you to try.

+TheGh02t I was given an unfair advantage lol
Your review is kinda worthless when you ride like s***
Nice ride on river bend road

@ 3:00 lmfao 😂😂😂
Nice Video
How fast can that bike go
156ish
you sound like Kevin Pereira in these videos hehe
Roses are red violets are blue, 2015 Honda CBR600RR I first ride & review.
Counter steer
Scott Wooley this guy gets it
you should try out my Vulcan Custom 900. lol, just kidding.

Yeah, no one really need 1000cc's for street riding.
the seat on the cbr600rr has never been a good seat. it’s a flat piece of plastic with not much cushion. need to sit on other 600s or try a long distance ride.
Hey man you already got me sold when you referred to yourself in the 3rd person lmfao 😂
nice
hi.
I have a 1000 rr
Very cool!
Gsxr 750😎
You are not pushing that bike.... Try once
+K Fisher Okay, but only because you said so, and asked semi-nicely lol
In black is cooler.
Does this bike only have 2 gears ??? lmfao xD
This guy is literally cruising at 7k rpm
sorry not into the 600s
FACE REAVEAL ON MD SPORT RIDER'S CHANNEL! My #nohomo wet dreams are coming true.
lolololol in what part of that video is there a face reveal? Unless you're talking about visor open reveal
Okay, fine, visor open reveal. It only takes as much to get one's imagination going ;);) jk haha.
Vaklanil hahahahah glad I could spark imaginations
Cool video bro! Just a little too blasphemous for my ears. Lol
Why does every motorcycle video have to have cussing in it? My 5 and 2 year old sons enjoy watching motorcycles on UA-cam as much as I do. Just wish there were atleast ONE family oriented motorcycle videos to watch
Sorry?
Best recommendation is have them watch cycleworld or motorcycle.com stuff
Are you precious children going to be "damaged" in some way by hearing a few expletives?
Get over it, they are words .. fuck you to your kids
100th
Why you want a 250cc xD
+Damian koops 250s are awesome!!!!
Oke xD
+DukeOfDC 250 2 stroke that is
Dude I'm sorry but I honestly don't like the look of that bike
+Christopher Glenn don't be sorry man! That's your opinion and you're totally entitled to it. I like the all black, stealth look it has.
+DukeOfDC no not the color it's like the bike it just looks old an outdated
