@@ankitajain9194 You are right this is kind of visually fooling excel to show you a task bar. In case of overlaps create a seperate series for overlapped tasks.
Was very helpful. Thank you so much brother. One thing I would like to ask is, if I want to have a label for each duration in the chart, how do I do it?
can we add ACTUAL , PLANNED , PROGRESS all in one with this example and also an input parameter ( like todays date) , should bring a vertical line on the chart where we are .....
This is very useful. Thank you very much. BUt, Can you help me to add a current date in the same chart as a vertical line? It will help us to visualize with current status....
How to do the same for staggered tasks.. Say Task A starts on Jan 1 and ends on Jan 31.. Task A is followed by Task B which starts on March 1 and Ends on March 31?
I was wondering the same thing. Try subtracting the March 1st start date of the second task by the Jan 31st end date of the first task. Whatever difference you obtain, add this new data series (the # of days between the end of task 1 to the beginning of task 2) to the gantt chart and make sure it has no colour fill. Now you should be able to add the durations for the Mar 1st task after that.
This has been incredibly helpful and you have no idea how much you have helped me! Thank you so much for taking the time to put this together

Thank you for the session, however what can be done if the tasks are overlapped - this might not be able to give the correct #of days.
