Nice video, but if you have more than 9 activitites, the planned time errorbar gets dislocated, and you will have to adjust this by correcting the maximum (and min) values for the secondary y axis. Could you look into this, and explain why this happens? And please, let's see a Power BI version of this chart. Thanks :)
Hi Per, yes that’s absolutely correct that the error bars get dislocated. I’ll have to recheck to see if there is a solution to that. The Power BI version was requested before this too, and we’ll definitely make a video on that. Lastly, your comment helps us make better content. Thank you for engaging with our content.
Thank you verymuch for the video. this is really helpful. want to ask 2 queries. 1. the scattered lines for the y axis is not exactly below the gantt chart, the first one is exactly below the progress gantt but the second and third are in middle of the progress bar. fourth one is top of the progress bar. how should i make it bottom for all planned lines. 2. i need a pause of the work . for ex. if first work is 60% completed but a priority work 2 has interrupted it for 1 day again i continued work 1 from 60% second day, it means a day pause in work 1. how can i represent it in the gantt chart and the interrupt ? Please let me know the solution for the above 2 issue. Thanks in advance
Thanks for the video and effort. Q: When I change the planned stacked bars to (X Y Scatter), the whole chart change not only the planned. What should I do?
Hi Ibrahim, please make sure that you follow these two steps. First, make sure to add the locations on the y-axis to the stacked bars and next make sure to select only the part of the stacked bars which represents the values of the locations on y-axis. I believe there won’t be any problem. If it’s still not solved, send me your file on LinkedIn at linkedin.com/in/aqhotak.
@@Engineeringly hi. I have the same problem I think and already made sure to follow your advice from above. When I convert the bars into scatter chart it changes the entire chart into some dots and a few vertical bars, the dates go from top to left... I'm using Office 22 wit M365. Do you have a fix for this ? Later Edit: apparently in newer versions, when you click change chart, there's a "combo" section down below and from the dropdown you select Scater just for the last bar set. So now it works. Another issue now, if you add more activities (like 40) the "baseline" bars tend to go down further than 1 bar.
hi, i am getting problem when i am trying the scatter chart, the shape you are showing , that is not coming, it is getting reverse, i am following your steps, here problem , i am getting, how to solve that?
