- Building your dream home in Jamaica is a great achievement. Today I am doing a site visit of a dwelling home being built in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica and chatting with the construction team, so if you are looking for builders feel free to reach out to Southside Construction. The house has 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom. Construction began in late of 2020 and is about 85% complete. A Jamaican home construction mainly consist of concrete blocks, steel reinforcement bars, cement, timber and metal roofing. Constructing a home in Jamaica can be a daunting task but I am committed to help make the process a smoother one by providing as much information as I can. Hi PJ,
Like the layout, I only have 2 issues that I can see and 1 you might be able to fix
1) the back balcony looks a bit narrow, if you put chairs it does not seem like much leg room left, may have to consider benches
2) the stairs inside need to be a steeper inclined, was extended to far out .... you should not have to duck to prevent from hitting your head on the upstairs landing
Overall, nice house, great view... can't wait to see the finished house
Honestly the porch at the back isn't really much of an issue and I see the issue with the stairs.
@@PJEbanks hello, the balcony was more a personal preference on my part, on- a- whole, it is a great design.... and again, this is my opinion, am not a designer or builder put to fix the stairs issue I would just remove the section of landing above the bottom of the steps... looking forward to seeing more of your designs
The stairs in the garage is not practical. Think of carrying groceries and getting older. Dining area windows are too small. You should maximize natural lighting and large windows will do just that

Wow wow you are a master of art I just love your works,you certainly have my attention yes.
I love your designs including this one. I hope I can afford one one of these days. I noticed what appears to be molds on the wall of a room that backs to the side of the house with the dirt hill covering half that exterior wall. If that dirt hill is not dug out from the side of the house, that room will always have moisture issues, condensation, and molds which are bad for health. Please let the home owner know this so they can use an excavator to remove he hill from off the exterior wall and problem solved.

love the floor plan and the layout. Excellent job!! What is downstairs beyond the wall that has the staircase ? Another bedroom / washroom / storage? I saw Windows from the side view of the house but you didn’t go that side…
On that side is a bedroom and a bathroom. Good eyes! 👍

This is what I call a beautiful house. I hope they don't paint it in loud bright colours especially bright green and blue. I find a lot of the bathrooms for some of these homes are done in too colourful and ugly designs. I hope they don't spoil the beauty of the house. Great peaceful view.

Where can you get good quality bathroom vanities ? i ask someone to build and he took forever to build one and I have 3 bathrooms to go.

@@paulinethompson500 a lot, cheaper if you are there to control purchasing of materials, payroll and see to it that a prper job is done the first time and you don't have to pay money again to fix errors
