Excellent!!! This is how I want to build mine!! Please update the progress I really want to see the finished product
I love the method of construction. I don't like my house partitions in concrete. Dry wall gives the interior of the house a neat finished and easier to modify or make changes
True
But concrete is more durable
Concrete is more 🥵
@@anthonyjarrett3206 do you think this way that they have designed the house is a cheaper way in regards to what it will cost to buy material and labor?
so true
Like the concept guys. I am very much accustomed to it here in Canada. People are asking why it not used more, because we get a lot of hurricanes. If you loose your roof all the drywall is toast while with blocks the wall will still be standing. That's the economics.
I am not a builder but I am thinking of you slab the roof and put a hip on top of the slabbed roof for cosmetic, you wouldn't have to worry about hurricane
Open floor plan. I love it and would definitely want to see the finished product.
I asked about this method and was told it would be too costly in Jamaica.
This speaks volumes when someone is patriotic about his work. This is free promotion for a splendid job done......not only that but also guidance for the drawing ng of the plan.
Thank you so much 🙏
@@PJEbanks Keep on the good work. We out here watching. Some of us are prospective buyer and builders too. 😁
I love this concept! I am sure it's quite cost-saving.
To be honest it's not more cost saving than traditional block and steel as lumber is really expensive. There are advantages to using drywall vs blocks though, drywall is easier to work with, you get a better finish and it's easier to run electrical wires and water pipes and it's way easier if you want to do renovations.
Will to be honest it's not quite because as it relates to lumber it's would definable spike up a huge bill ok look at this maths 10,000 for 100 blocks while on the other hand 1 length 2x4x 18 is like 3500 a length (rough guess) and sheetrock you looking at 6400 a sheet so I wouldnt say yes it save alot
@@PJEbanks there you go, so it's best to say it cost lest if one plans to renovate in the future
@@PJEbanks Thanks so much! I was considering using drywall. I had thought there would be a cost saving. I guess I will stay with concrete walls and use a drill, plugs and screws to hang my pictures! 🤣
Yes my bro! Love this design, dry wall is the the way to go💯 ANOTHER WINNER👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Love this kind of interior construction in Jamaica. Please do a follow up video step by step on the framing and the drywall process.
I love it, bungalow style is my dream home 🏡
You are so knowledgeable. I learn something new in each video I view.
Immediately upon seeing first view, I like it. Definitely a very open concept at this point I really like it
Great ,can't wait to see the end result, I think it's a more efficient way to build without all the hard labour work with concrete, and also create more opportunities where it involves learning a new skill, love the concept I'm interested to see this house finish 🤙✌
Liked the consistency of the arch
Love the flow. I think it will be easier and cheaper to do the inside
Ok speaking my language way to go I love the breath of fresh air the new concept to Jamaica game changer hurricane strops on the roof I am a big fan of dry wall and wood house modernize .
Yes we need more of this in Jamaica.
Wow your work stands out Mr Eubanks proud of you,I have a house design book and the book has nothing over your designs. Nice Nice. ❤
This is really great content. Keep them coming. What about designs for a small income earner with limited land space? Create a video for them
Can't wait for that one because I fall in that category.
Finally! I've been waiting for this 🙌
Love dah design beautiful method I'm also into construction it's my pride and joy thanks to vtdi ok enough a that I wish you had shown a pic of the floor layout so wi could see or have a clearer understanding vividly as you elaborate yuh zeet other than that it's amazing 💯 keep up the good work 💪
In the Uk, we use a lot of plasterboards on modern house builds. Once we have taped the joints we plaster over the boards.
It will be beautiful when finish Love the concept of using drywall
I love your designs and would love to know what the house plans for something like this would cost.
Excellent, I love the design
Thank you and thank you for watching the video.
We use drywall in the uk too. It's less labour intensive fot the plumber and electrica work. More ppl should be using it in Jamaica Imo. Only issue is termite. But if ppl treat their house surrounds bi-annually or every three to four years at the most then I guess termites shouldn't be an issue. Keep bringing us the great content brother. 👊🏾🇬🇧🇯🇲
Love the concept. Like everyone else, I'm wondering if this is more cost effective
Thanks for showing
i would have fun sheet rocking this gem
PJ I I have had this discussion with a lot of people as to why that concept hasn't been used more in Jamaica since it's is more cost effective overall at this time.
One of my big concern is the availability of labor force on a Professional level at this time.
I am actually planning to do one as soon as I finish my present building project there
.i would
Chichi will eat your house from within.
Them wicked, if i could do without wood on my house, i would.
As a someone who has worked in the building trades in the US it’s definitely the standard in the US especially in Florida where i am. My question to you is how does the cost compared To
Building the entire structure out of cinder blocks and concrete
This concept is best but perhaps not most cost effective but certainly helps when doing plumbing and electric. Also, it's difficult to find drywall experts in Jamaica.
You will definitely be doing my house for Jamaica and other future business
Wow this is lovely
I would love to see the finish product
Beautiful.
Nice design ❤❤ question ! Regardig the dry walling , do they use métal studding for framing in ja ? And is the price reasonable for boards and fixings for the stud work ?
Love this video. Do you have the follow up of this house when it's completed using the dry walls.
Lovely I think if i did this to my house I would have being finish
Great idea, extremely cost effective. I have one question: was consideration made for hurricane?
Well lets say this as a draughts man or architect designing a building one have to take in consideration 1 building durability hence the reason one have to have a solding foundation despite the soil type yeah and wi all know the build upand so on, now the design of a roof as to be consider and this differes due to location the pitch the material used and all that..
This one in the video its wonderful design all those roof trusses and columns good bolted 🔩 wallplates and ceiling beds just perfect to withstand hurricane 🌀👌
Hurricane can’t crawl into a house and knock down wooden walls.
Like the idea of this building
I love the whole concept, but the question is how easy is it to find a drywall expert in Jamaica.
Nice property when finished it will look good 👊🏿
Same way I say I would build my house..open concept
Like the concept bro really effective we need to build more like that in Jamaica but the next one ur building used Colognes and build beans instead of the Iron loadbearing post
U can also build a two floor house like that as well only thing I think it will cost u more to do so in Jamaica because of price of lumber
I've never seen concrete construction done this way b4 but I like the idea tho
Would love to see completion
Love the gutter bed going around
Nice idea I'm assuming they will use drywall on the inside.
Yes, drywall will be used for partition walls.
Wow, this is amazing 🤩 🙏🙏❤️❤️
Nice
That's how it's done in Canada. Jcans need to get with the program.
Canada doesn't have category five hurricanes.
People will be kicking themselves in few weeks if they miss the opportunity to buy and invest in bitcoin
Bitcoin is the future, investing in it now will be the wisest thing to do especially this high rise
Yeah Indeed it's very profitable!
Please how does this whole bitcoin thing work? I'm interested and ready to invest in but I'm gonna need assistance from any productive and reliable professional.
Based on investing acumen and strategy I will recommend Edward Morris for you
Wow, so surprised you mentioned and recommended Edward Morris I thought people don't know him, he's good at what he does
Absolutely love this design. Well done. It has given me some inspiration. Which areas do you operate out of pls?
Fantastic.....I have been asking a long time now why aren't we seeing more of this in Jamaica. It offers so much more flexibility and cost effectiveness for future layout changes.
Are you able to give a rough estimated percentage difference in building cost for this versus the traditional hard block/concrete walls please?
Good look i like it
This I a good idea. Are we able to get insurance for these constructions now. This is way more economical. I would only suggest using concrete pillars and beams and the right places but I have long advocated for this type of construction a long time ago. Only concern is fire but of course there is fire retardant materials
Lol bro I'd the same idea about my house but didn't know if we've dry walls in the island
Yes man, you can get drywall at almost every hardware on the island it's just that it's not widely used for partition walls but they use it for ceiling.
Is using drywall more cost effective when compared to concrete? Also, what about hurricanes...what happens to the drywall should the roof blow off?
If your roof blows off during a hurricane concrete or drywall will not make a difference so I think slab roof is the way to go
Could we get a update on this house
I will try to give an update soon.
I want to do the EPS concent by getting materials from Panama.
Soo glad I found your channel. This would be perfect for me, you can just sell me this print. Lol
Thank you for watching and you can get it to purchase
How much. You see, I have a small parcel of land. It measures 85x110 it has a 12 foot drop to the rear of the property so I think I would need a split level, open floor plan, two bedrooms, 11/2 bath.
I hope you will give us a tour of this on when it finish. Great channel, I am binge watching.
Do you do.plans for small jobs like my lot size?
Great idea, do you have any modern designs ?
Awesome
It nice 👍 let us see the finish when that happens
Updated video of this unit please?
I will try to do an update soon
It gave your house a bear to finish Interior Also energy wise is better When the foreignYou You can insulate it too
Hi Mr Banks lovely home it's going to be. What do you think the outcome price will be. I saw that lovely views, may contact you in the near by future.🇬🇧🇯🇲❤️🤗
Yes it more economical to use drywall for the interior walls and also instead of using that metal beam for support couldn’t you have made a wall column
love this
Yes bro very interesting love the work i would like to know how much to do a plan for a four bedroom same design hit me up i need to know please and thanks
I came across your channel and I love it. I respect everything I have seen on your channel. I know you design the houses but do you build them as well?
Nice work brother 👍
Do you have a follow up video of this house?
Great video
i would come give a few free days just to show my drywall skills that i learned in merka (🇺🇸) i have all the tools
Where is the home located. Great concept with th he drywall.
The house is located in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica
Nice house design PJ, my question is, why dry wall for the partition?
20 years ago I told people about this method they thought I was joking.
No will stick to my blocks and steel for interior for now. Thought of doing it on a small project and the amount to be saved wasn't worth it for me.
The quality finish you get from drywall is way better than traditional block walls.
@@PJEbanks thats all gud but wat about durability 🤔🤔🤔
I am loving that open concept how much is that to build
Any update on this house?
Not yet, the roof is on though
I AM DOING SOMETHING JUST LIKE THAT
Are u related to the Ebanks family in the UK.?...(Boxing) u resemble Chris Ebanks jnr
I like the idea but is it more cost effective? And by how much would it cut cost.
Thanks
It's not more cost effective, in fact it's more expensive. The cost of lumber has gone up significantly.
@@PJEbanks What if you use the metal poles they use for drywall and a slab roof? Would this be more cost effective?
Drywall will be used to complete the interior.
Can you tell the cost to bring this building here?
Hey pj! What's the length of the living room?
If I remember correctly it's 20ft
Looks great, what are the dimensions of the exterior footprint?
How much did it cost for that open concept?
Jason Peter
👊🏽
What is the cost savings to do it this way instead of using concreate throughout the house?
Where is your business page
Is dry wall different from sheetrock?
Sheetrock is a brand of drywall.
Is it much cheaper to use plasterboard walls?
What size is the Bedrooms?
The regular bedrooms are 14x14 but I don’t remember the size of the master. I know it’s big though
Is it much cheaper to build your house this way?
Love the design brotha! Great job! How do i get in touch with you?
With this kind of construction Just exterior concrete walls We'll help keep this house cooler
Is dry all more expensive in doing this way?
How big of a saving would you say it is from using regular walls opposed to drywall
Is there a contact for the architect of this design?
Yes, you can contact me at 202-880-4458 or email peterjohnebanks@gmail.com
