- The v1.0.9 update is now available, with a few improvements and fixes to the main game, plus the new reimagined Lost River game map, available as DLC for US$12! Game and DLC sales are how we fund WQ game development, so thank you to everyone who will be purchasing this map!
NEW: LOST RIVER MAP (DLC)
A fictional area in the Mountain West, featuring both expansive wilderness and a mysteriously-abandoned town. Some years ago, all human residents evacuated the town of Lost RIver. Nature has begun to reclaim the place, with elk herds and other wildlife wandering the abandoned streets and subdivisions. Wolves may wonder what happened here, but they will never know. This is a reimagined version of the Lost River: Classic map, remade from the ground up and now equal to the scope and quality of Amethyst Mountain and Slough Creek.
Features;
* 8x8 kilometer map (30% larger than the WQ:AE Yellowstone maps)
* The full arc of quests, from learning to hunt through raising pups. (That currently brings you to Endless Summer, but once the Saga is completed, it will be available in Lost River as well as in the Yellowstone maps.)
* The mysterious town of Lost River, which humans abandoned some years ago -- but where you'll find clues about their activities and concerns.
* A vast wilderness reaching into the mountains, where elk roam and grizzlies roar, dotted with interesting natural and human-made features.
* Over a dozen buildings that wolves can enter and explore.
* All the gameplay and animals in the main game, plus a few more!
* Over 20 new achievements.
* Cattle ranch where players can press their luck by preying on the herd -- but beware of tricks that the ranchers have up their sleeves!
* New music tracks when exploring the human areas of the map, in the same style as the original Lost River soundtrack.
* And much more (including the return of Lost River's best-kept secret) -- but you'll have to explore the map to discover it all.
ALSO NEW:
* Once you have a mate, a new Mate tab appears in Pack Info, where you can see your mate's attributes and genetics, and write a short biography if you wish. (Bio is saved with the game save.)
* Snow remains at high elevations in the springtime. Snow coverage is now synced correctly between the terrain and rocks, trees, and other objects, based on elevation.
IMPROVEMENTS:
* For the "travel a long distance with pups to a new rendezvous site" achievement, an alert now notifies you when you've gone the required distance.
BUGS FIXED:
* Some small gaps in deep snow.
* Small birds fly out from snow-covered sagebrush in winter.
* Multiplayer: Sometimes notifications don't appear for all players. (Possible fix, might still occur, please report if you see the problem.) - Ігри

@@WolfQuestGame Even though I am on mobile, I still support you and the rest of the team as you continue to finish the game on pc / mac. I am literally DYING to play this game! I’ve heard amazing things about it! Maybe after you’ve finished it on pc / mac do nintendo switch if that’s the second easiest thing to realease it on because if you did that then I would be buying it.

The addition of animals like dogs and taking damage inside geysers is probably the smartest thing I've ever seen. Super duper enjoying this map!

You mean wolves??.
But you just made me think about how they should put in domestic dogs that got loose and reverted to their wild instincts and they become another competitor to the wolves and you could maybe even have wolfdog puppies because of how these can naturally occur in the wild as well.
this map really has so much potential and now that I realized that I can do a free demo of it I can't wait to update my game tonight

how dangerous are they?. are they a new pup predator or can you mate with them?.
where do they spawn?.
I'd say that they could even put in more types of animals in this place such as wild horses and such.

This is so awesome; I've been a WQ player since I was a kid and to this day, I am here to support you guys every step of the way! You guys work so hard and I will buy any DLC you guys pump out to support this wonderful game!
The amount of work you put into this game is outstanding. I honestly don't know anyone who dislikes it or your team. Keep doing what you doing because you managed to create a wholesome game with an amazing community. That's not something anyone can accomplish. Don't forget to take breaks and spend time with your families and for yourselves especially on festive seasons.

I'm going to do a completely blind playthrough of the map! Won't look at the map beforehand, and I won't use a map or compass. With only my eyes and nose to guide me!
Should be a fun challenge!
I can't wait to explore everything completely blind and just fully experience the map!

I was getting kind of tired not finding a mate in Amethyst Mountain with my grown pup Archer so I went to steam to check if Lost River was out and it was, I literally bought it right than and there. So excited!
Agh, I was so hoping you would wait just a couple of days to release so that I could finish up my final exams before being tempted to just sit and play in Lost River for my entire Christmas break! Well, I'll be very excited to download and play as soon as my exams are done!

It would be much more exciting if we had a confrontation with the guard dog , when we entered the ranch .
It was worth the wait bc this map is now my fav map. I’m sure lots of players will have fun rping inside houses with dog rps
I am so glad for this expanded map. I’ve already had some fun and I’m quite surprised at something’s the WQ team have added, but definitely glad. One I was even like ‘it would be cool to see this’ and then I saw it. Great job once again.

i bought it as soon as i realised ohhh my gosh! i’ve only looked around the familiar parts of the map before, really excited to travel out further and see everything new! so good. the new music is AMAZING!!!!!

Bought the map once it came out and finally was able to play it today. I just spent a good few hours hunting, finding a mate, and exploring. Just wanted to say that this map is SO cool! The dens and locations are all so unique and interesting! Looking at the locations I can see that the wq dev team definitely had some fun making this map. Lost river for sure surprised me with a lot of features (won't spoil)

I just started playing WQ:AE a few days ago. It's been years since I played on WQ 2.5 and WQ Classic as a kid. It's so exciting to see all the features I wished for as a kid now implemented in the game! If anyone working on Wolf Quest sees this, I just want to thank you for all the years of fun and education I got from this game! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
