- Lexus LC 500 Owner Reviews featuring my personal 2020 LC 500 with 2,600 miles on it. I have now owned my Lexus LC Coupe for 6 months and I will be documenting how I feel about it. See my LC Playlist here: • Video
The Lexus LC 500 truly is the greatest modern car I have experienced thus far. This year I have driven several high-dollar vehicles like the new C8 Corvette, BMW M6, Rolls Royce Ghost, Bentley, etc. and the 2020 LC 500 that I own is still the best car to me. See my several Owner Reviews in the playlist above.

I've done many reviews so any questions you have will def be answered if you go through the videos in the Playlist, thanks again for watching!
Ebay what and review turo? I don't understand i want to learn from you that's why i asked
I have two questions , what do you use to clean the interior ? I scared to use anything but warm warn on a damped cloth . Takes me forever, also what camera would you recommend. Iol I tried my phone and the video came out like crap (You can see on my channel ).
A real life owners review is 10x more insightful than done random reviewer who drove it for an afternoon. Thanks.
Thank you my friend! Will be posting an LC vs AMG GT vid soon!
I’ve had 40-ish cars in the last 15 years. I’m always changing up my fleet. I will NEVER get rid of my LC500. Every time I drive it, I get just as excited as the first time.
nice to know. I just got a 2020 and love it.
How many miles on the odometer?
Most people sleep on Lexus, but I think they make the best cars for daily driving
Yea that's the key thing people dont understand they are fantastic STREET cars and not pretending to be pointless race cars that are totally unusable
No doubt I got an ls 460 fsport for 18k 108k miles man that car runs like new
By far the finest car made I've owned 3 of them only car I'll buy
How am I just now seeing this?!?! Thanks for the shoutout man!!
No problem bro!
First time seeing it at launch, I knew this car will be a gem to own and drive, then comes all the glowing reviews on the the internet. When the time comes of my success in life, I will get this no matter what. Currently finishing high school and this will be my target during adulthood.
Love your reviews!
Hi Elon. Glad to be able to read your comment. I too yearn for an LC500 convertible in the gorgeous yellow/white. I recently got a 2017 MX5 ND1 last year and have never been happier. Japanese-built cars will always be a great choice. I wish you all the best in purchasing your own LC500. Let's get 'em!
I absolutely appreciate your no-nonsense brass-tacks approach to reviewing, you get to the point and play no games. I'm not sure you realize you also bring a natural level of humor that adds to the likability of your presentation. The comments you make throughout reminds me of myself, and I find myself laughing so hard. Keep up the good work; forget the naysayers; they wish they were you! Peace.
The class, beauty and precision in its engineering is on another level.
Nice, glad you;re liking the LC. We had 26,000 miles on ours after 3 year lease and 0 issues, keep it up.
Hey my friend yea I def remember you yea I certainly don't see issues developing on this car anytime soon!
@@MeynMotorGroup hopefully! Safe travels.
26k is nothing. These things should make it to half a million on original powertrain.
It is but after the warranty expires I will still renew the warranty parts cost a fortune on Lexus cars not far off from Germans even tho it is way less problems
@@MeynMotorGroup so parts are really expensive but you don't have problems with Lexus cars ?
This video’s photography is just flawless, pleases my eyes so badly 🤩
I’ve fell myself in love for this car, out of all I watched to the nicest photography by far 🥳
Humbled my friend!
Good luck mate, what a gorgeous car, head and shoulders above any crowd, enjoy it
The best review I’ve seen on this PERFECTION. Absolutely every topic covered.
Hey thank you so much my friend! I actually just made an updated 1 year review on the car as well
I bought the LC500 2021 in the same outer color as yours but I picked black interior. I have the performance package on mine. I’ve only had it for a couple weeks so far but I love it. I have only had BMW’s before and test drove the 850 convertible before deciding on this one. I fell in love with this car. I really enjoyed all your reviews on this car.
Massive congrats! Very happy for you yea the car is def epic to drive out on the road, I hope you enjoy it for a long time. Thanks again for supporting!
I really appreciate you doing this kind of review. Very few youtubers ‘re-review’ their cars for true reliability. You should do a 1 year and then a 5 year review later on.
Of course my friend I def plan to document all the major things that occur
@@MeynMotorGroup That's good news, because I am looking at getting one maybe a year or so from now. So keep them review bids coming.
You will love it my friend!
those carbon grill bumper is a phenomenal craftmanship and I got to be honest if ever there's a chance of falling inlove with cars again and again it always goes in Lexus " A relentless pursuit of Perfection ".
I absolutely love your enthusiasm for this Car. I have to agree with you on as good as everything you've said. I'm saving up for my LC as we speak. Mine MUST have the toasted Caramel interior as yours. Unequalled. You have a seriously nice car. Consider some wheel spaces just to perfect the stance.
I may never be able to get a LC500, but I feel fortunate that I was able to get the LS460!! Your car is timeless especially with the Carmel interior!!
Thank you for your honest review also good to hear you have driven so much more cars but you are honest on this car.
I appreciate that!
First to get 2018 on may 13, 2017 loved it. Got 2020 in same color may 2020, loved it and my daily driver. Never had any problem in 3 years of ownership, had 29000 miles in my 2018
That is awesome my friend hope you continue to enjoy it the car is a gem!
Great review. Thank you. Thinking of
buying 2020 LC500 in red.
Great review. The car is everything you say it is. Have you noticed the LED strip under the brushed aluminum curve on the door. I’ve watched a lot of LC reviews and no one has mentioned it. It’s only function is to add another artistic flourish to the door design. Really cool.
Thanks for providing the difference between the years. It helps on my next purchase...👍
Of course my friend best of luck let me know when you get it!
I am a first time listener. Loved your review. I subscribed immediately. Thanks
Humbled by that sir thank you very much for your support!
I'm a luxury, tour car man, and I've never owned a sports car. Out of all the LC 500 reviews I've seen, yours is the closest without over drooling over the feel and performance. I'm into a comfortable ride that's not going to physically exhaust me. I know it's a sports car. I get it, but can you explain and emphasize, how the LC500 can compliment a luxury tour guy like myself if I take the transition to this car. No one UA-cam really established that narrative. Can you give me some details around town and touring for a guy like me.
I def understand, yea I am a lot like you and the LC fits the bill near perfectly. I will say in the used market if ride quality is most important, avoid the 2018 as it's the roughest riding.
2019-2020 like I have even with 21" wheels is a very good ride over 95% of bumps, you have to have it over the really harsh pot hole to hear or feel something but getting 20" wheels will help a ton with 2019 and 2020 cars.
2021 is stupid comfortable even with 21" wheels rides almost as well as a new LS500 lexus very impressive. Hope this helps
Thank you. You helped a lot. Continue with your reviews. I like your perspective
LOVE your reviews! Keep up the great work 🔥🔥
Thank you!
Praying to God I can navigate life well enough to someday have this beauty.
Oh you will my friend, I didn't navigate it that well but here I am lol just don't go into insane debt for it like certain people not naming anyone in particular haha
@@MeynMotorGroup As I always say, life is simple but it is not easy.
That's a great way to put it

Just believe that you receive and you will have...
Sick!! Been waiting for this
Appreciate it!
My 2023 convertible is on its way to me. Can’t wait, it just beautiful 🏖️
You the man in the auto review space bro!
Thank you so much my friend humbled by that!
Currently have the FJ Cruiser and 370z which are my dream cars. The LC 500 is my future dream car. Excited to own one in the future!
I write this as of June 2024 and while I love the looks of this fine vehicle, I am also attracted to the new Mercedes Benz AMG CLE straight 6 with turbo boost model. The AMG CLE is fast, very attractive interior, 4 wheel drive, rear steering, superior electronics, superior AI navigation, and much better gas mileage even with 450 HP! The CLE is also cheaper by $15K.
respect for fully appreciating this masterpiece.
Hey appreciate that my friend actually, tomorrow's video is going to be why Lexus is not appreciates by the mainstream reviewers. Thanks again for stopping by
Thanks for the update!
Yeap... very accurate review as always. Take owner bias out of the equation and it's still an awesome car. Flat out performance isn't the deciding factor for buying these. I wouldn't want all the electrical drama the European get.. even though I want an RS6 Avant.
It's a great looking and performing car. Maybe not exotic fast but holds it own. I'm glad you're enjoying it.
Appreciate it sir! Yea RS6 Wagon is nice lol there are def some Euro cars I def love. Glad you are also loving your beautiful LC. Thanks again for all the support
so happy to see you still enjoying this car and you wanna own it for real and as a lexus freak i become i hope you keep it till the wheels fall off .The only thing i dont like too much on this car are the wheels... too much "prototype" look to them i would rather go with the smaller option i like it the most and even if you dont theres always ridiculous amounts of aftermarket to make it your own style. I really believe this a modern classic and they will get up in value in a near future but dont let that make you park the car to keep its value ,go outside put some miles on that bad boy ,enjoy it ,its a GT car after all they were meant to be driven
Appreciate it boss, if HRE wants to send me 10k worth of wheels I would consider swapping it out 😆 and yea no point in not driving the car because it may go up a few thousand 10 years from now lol
Always gravitated to vehicles that kept their value or appreciated in value while driving them. This one is in my future.
Another great Video I am jealous of u the car is nice keep up the good work
I'm humbled by that my friend thanks again for everything!
I’m digging this Piece of artwork. Riding in one will definitely be like a magic carpet ride.
Haha appreciate it my friend if you want magic carpet ride tho 2021 is the one 👌
Thanks for the content.
Why wud u say the 2019 is the best model to go for, any thing you would like to share about older models ?
Thanks
Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!
perfect Luxury and High Quality GT Car for the US and Canadian Market, i like the LC, thanks for the Vid. Kevin.
Appreciate it brother!
Hello Kevin, love your video's , i also use the blue tooth in my lexus nx , i actually switched off my apple car play and android auto for a while.
Nice yea I don't really go crazy for the Apple and Android infotainment I don't use it much at all actually
Awesome video! Thank you for making these! This is my dream car, and I'm surprised that you're one of the only people that own this car and make videos on it. Keep up the good work, and I'm now subscribed to see more of these videos.
Thank you my friend! So glad you appreciate the content.
Saw a white soft top LC500 on the road for the first time the other day. It looks amazing. Seeing yours would look even better haha
Oh very cool, actually speaking of convertible Lexus cars, I was finally able to review the OG the SC430 haha latest vid I just posted
@@MeynMotorGroup Haha I had just started watching that one too but then came over to this one
Appreciate that boss yea LC is def the spiritual successor to that SC but man I dont like how that SC looks lol 😂
@@MeynMotorGroup Yeah I'd definitely agree that the LC design was nailed perfectly. I won't rag on the SC too harshly, doesn't look half bad in that silver 😂
How much in reliability n performance would u say is the difference between 18 n 19 model LC
Your review is exactly what Lexus drivers say...once you go Lexus .. there's no going back.
And as you say, it's not always about comparing to the euros
For sure my friend!
I have a 2006 sc 430 pebble beach edition..I love this car..it's flawless.
Yes, I traded in my 2006 SC 430 @ 73,340 for the LC 500. The SC is a great car, I just wanted a newer version at 69 Y of Age. The SC would for sure out last me, the LC will for sure. The SC trade in was much more than I paid for it. Thank you chip shortage.
I am thinking about buying the LC so this was a very informative review, helpful. The interior/exterior design is so sleek, sexy, sporty and sophisticated. It’s not the fastest in it’s class (but fast enough) and yeah you can probably get a Beamer or Mercedes but those are so generic. This has so much quality and stands out in a crowd of boring cars.👍🏽😘
Yes I’ve been looking at some as well bmw and Benz are a dime a dozen which color would you get?
@@mrstepitup9186 white or black exterior with that creamy peanut butter interior. 😘 When I talk about the LC most people don’t know what it is and have to look it up on the internet. Then when they see it, they are impressed with the styling. If u get one, would you change the factory wheels?
You guys will love the LC still to this day my most favorite modern car to drive interior is a cherry on top
@@Msrise2thatop for me white is a must with red/Burgundy interior I would throw on tints 20%all around and tint windshield lol I’m from NY we do that😂 the factory wheels are so gorgeous I would rock them for a good while then change them out get some wider tires and some wider rims for a better stance I got this all planned out in my head just waiting for 2021 because the 2018s are going to be 3 years old at that point so you can get one for around 65k
@@mrstepitup9186 Good taste! I’m with your plan, tint is a must and the wider wheels/rims will make it look more aggressive. I am planning on 2018 with low miles. Good luck with everything!
Stunning looking car with a futuristic design, you can review it in 60years time and it will still look good and will most likely still drive straight with routine maintenance!
Guss I'm staying Japanese, I was gonna get a bmw 5 series for my weekend car but I might just get a decent looking Lexus, I'm keeping my 2012 g37 till death reliability and practicality is what I'm about....like to look nice too👌
I like it for a reason I've yet to hear anyone say, and that is, maybe it's just me, but it has ques and an air of the LFA in it which I loved that car, this has the dial slide the controls and even some of it's lines follow it. To me the LC 500 is if the LFA had a child or it's second cousin. Thank you for your video.
awesome vid as usual, I’ve been looking into the c43 amg’s lately and it’d be AWESOME if you could get your hands on one, would love to hear your thoughts on it
So I actually drove one but never reviewed it, I had fun driving it I thought it was plenty for the streets and sounds amazing. Just the build quality inside isn't the best far more creeky when you touch up against panels but otherwise I loved it
@@MeynMotorGroup appreciate my man thanks
Of course my friend any time, let me know if you get one!
Lc500 with LFA sound and engine 😍😍😍😍😍😍
Steering wheel at eye level?
Great review! Thanks...
Thanks!
You Sir, have great taste in cars.
Haha thank you my friend
Kevin, I tried to respond to you via email and it didn’t go thru, so, I am sending the following to you regarding the end of LC 500 V8s. Thanks for the reply! I have been searching the web and have caught a couple mentions of 2021 being the last year of the LC500 with the V8. The hybrid version would remain in production for a bit. Nothing official from Lexus. That V8 first came out in the ISF, back, in 2007, so, the couple of mentions I have seen would make some sense. The engine was updated several times to get to the 471HP we now have. Toyota, doesn’t typically go on more than 7 years making a certain style of car and engine. Think of the production runs of the SC original and it’s replacement the SC430. Plus, the ISF and it’s run. I know the IS, ES and LS continue, but my guess is that something is in the air with the LC. Toyota is definitely looking at 6 cylinders with turbos. They gave up on the V8 twin turbo. Just thought you may have more info on this. I have had 12 Lexus models over my 25 years of doing business with them. I stopped buying American back then and have never looked back, because of, the great reliability of Lexus.
Thanks
Ed Moore
Congrats on the new car.
Thank you my friend!
Amazing video boss man !!👍🤝💯
Haha appreciate that boss!
The best part of this video is your obvious love for the car. I've always said; if you do not look back at your car every time it is parked or smile practically every time it's driven, then the car is not truly speaking to you. Side note, I put the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S' on my '16 IS350 FSport recently. My first summer tires as all the rest were All-Seasons....holy shit....these tires are STUPID AMAZING!! Junk the Bridgestones. :-)
Haha yea that Michelin summer tire can def grip 🤣 I bought your IS feels like its on rails now more than ever enjoy it boss!
@@MeynMotorGroup ::heehee:: I feel kinda stupid, because every time a corner is taken, I say: “Whhaaaaaa?!?!” So mad I did the practical thing all these years with the all-seasons. I truly wonder how my old ‘06 IS350 would’ve performed with them.
Hey man if there gonna discontinue the lc500 next year would parts for it still he available years down the road
Hey bro, can you do a review on the 2nd gen infiniti fx? I'm curious what you think about the 2009-2012 fx35 especially. If you get the chance and have time, it would be nice!
I will def try to feature some Infiniti products its just so hard to get access in my area
How do you find the fuel economy overall? Are you filling up a lot, is it annoyingly expensive to run? I have an IS300h and am considering an LC500 in the near future, but going from UK 50mpg average to 20-25mpg average here in the UK is quite a big pill to swallow. Thanks!
Oh yes I'm an idiot forgot to talk about that in this video but with aggressive city driving I'm getting 14 mpg I can get over 25 mpg on the highway
The lease for my lc500 18 is ending soon... not sure if I should grab another one or a GSF. My gripe with the lc is that when I have a backpack or briefcase, I need to chuck it onto the back seat. Reaching back to the back seat is such a pain haha.
I been driving a gx460 for a couple years love it. Something about v8's, Just bought a 2022 rx350l, great SUV but I'm not happy with it, I feel for a few bucks more I can get into a nice toy, I kept my gx but I'm thinking of getting rid of the rx350 for the lc500. Not to many for sale though in my area in the pre-owned market.
Beautiful lc500. True a stunning car.
When you getting an LFA?
So I own a 2008 fj cruiser 4x4 with 60k miles and it has lift, wheels tires, etc.
Yesterday I bought a 2008 gx470 in pearl white with tan interior and 120k miles so that I can put miles on this vs putting miles on the fj.
What are your thoughts on these both cars? Honestly.
I say you're lucky as hell to have both those monsters haha 2 of my most favorite SUVs. But to have an FJ with such low miles man you could sell that for a lot of money if you wanted to but up to you. Cabriolet Motors has a 2014 FJ with 27k miles going for $42k. I know yours is older with more miles but still. Or keep both and drive them til the wheels fall off up to you
5:08 i believe that.....Lexus leather today stems from the prototype and testing days of the LS400 when they were engineering the interior materials to last a lifetime
I def bet it will last a lifetime for sure haha it does feel that way im def happy with it
@@MeynMotorGroup Hopefully not the "bmw" definition of a lifetime by which it's defined as "end of lease".
Great lookn car. I will get one in blue or red as my second choice
I ran Dunlop sport maxx and pilot sport 4s on my GS and I can say the ps4s had a little more grip and rode better due to the softer tire however the Dunlop’s had overall pretty good grip lasted twice as long close to 30,000 miles while ps4s lasted 15,000 and ride was just a little bit worse on the Dunlop’s due to harder compound. They have trade offs just focus on what’s more important for your tire needs.
Excellent info thank you very much for sharing! Was always curious about these 2 tires im sure others will also find value with this
Great job love this car
Thanks!
Yes you’ve driven tons of luxury vehicles. What do you think about it vs Tesla Model S??
Does anybody have a lc500 for sale in the Phoenix area I'm looking to buy thx
Love this car. I'm looking to get one for myself but I can't decide if I want to wait for the LC F 500 or get an LC 500 right now. The thing is, I know I don't need the extra power.... I just want it lol.
Haha I feel you but unfortunately I'm not sure if they will make an LC F anymore. And LC 500 production probably won't last long either. I'm actually posting an LC vs AMG GT vid soon kinda covers my thoughts about insanely high HP vehicles out on the road
I've got the 2018 and love it. Can't seem to find if there is either ambient or LED lights on the wavy metal strip on the door card. I could swear I saw a video taken at night and the door trim lit up. You can feel that there is room under the chrome strip. I even called Lexus Corporate and they didn't know. Any ideas?? Also, I assume you're using VOICE COMMAND. I almost never use the trackpad. Even for climate control is say "Show Seat Warming Screen" and that screen appears. A swipe up or down on the seats and that's about it. Everything else you'd ever need to do works with VOICE.
love the lc500...you are right rcf doesnt sound anything like it even though they have the same engine
My dream car! My dream color! 😍
You will get it my friend
The quietest tire on the market is the Pirelli CINTURATO P7 ALL SEASON PLUS II currently. It is the new standard for ride quality and quietness based on Tire Racks comparison test and owner reviews.
They don't make that in LC size I only have 3 options Bridgestone, Michelin, and Dunlop all OEM choices
@@MeynMotorGroup Michelin gets my vote then. #TEAMPORSCHE
How did this compare to the f type r you reviewed previously?
I actually never reviewed the V8 R only the S model V6 but compared to that I def prefer the LC. Rides a lot better, better interior, feels far more substantial and of quality Jag is more light on its toes and don't get me wrong is a ton of fun. One of my most favorite sports cars. V8 must be nuts albeit unusable
What kind of gas mileage do you get, gas is getting more expensive. Do you do your own oil change, and if so, is it hard ? Do you do any maintenance on this car?
Like 15 mpg on average, see my 1 year ownership video as well
Did you say you had less than 3k miles? So I would hope the seats and bolster are holding up.
Yea they're def holding up I still only have like 3500 miles on it but in the vid I was just referring to how the leather felt. Lexus interiors tend to hold up and look new even past 10 years and 100k miles
Can you please elaborate on why you prefer the LC vs C8? Neither is available near me to test drive. I'm curious bc everyone says how nice the C8 rides + awesome interior, and I'm cross shopping a new non-Z51 C8 vs used LC500 ('19&up). Thank you!!
My issue with the 2020 C8 I drove is the engine had no character in its sound and it also tended to understeer a lot basically the car felt like it was tuned to be very safe and lacked fun on the road. I heard the 2021 and up vettes feel better but yes Vette does ride good and has a nice interior. One I drove had z51 made a lot of road noise
@@MeynMotorGroup Thanks for your insight!
Anytime my friend best of lucj
I’m not a fan of the all tan interior, but it’s nice.
Also, you must be in Raleigh cuz I see the Johnson Lexus plate frame. NC represent!
I am my friend! Appreciate you stopping by!
Thank you Kevin.
6 months!?? BIG BALLER!!!
You're the baller bro haha 😄 hope you've been well and thank you very much for all the support over the years
Happy that you covered your car! And you don't look like a douche driving it- which is great haha. And I definitely agree with Michelins being quiet. I used to have Hankook Optimos on my Civic and replaced them w/ Michelin Defenders since the Hankooks were worn and the difference in ride and quietness is night and day.
Haha 😄 that's good I def dont want to look like a doushe. And yea Hankook is not the best happy the defenders worked out, Kuhmo solus is another cheap alternative that is very quiet. Thanks agaib!
My dream car
Does this only come in RWD? Living in the NE that's a problem, but I'd love to buy it for my wife
Yea only rwd the LS500 comes in awd but that's a TT V6
@@MeynMotorGroup Thanks, that's disappointing because it fits her perfectly. I really didn't want to go Mercedes because you see them everywhere.
Thanks again
I just bought a 2020 ES350 F sport, black w/red interior. I needed something for outside sales. 2500 miles first month. I have an old LX470 that is great but I didn't want to add 40k a year to it. I got the ES350 for about 42k and it seems like a great deal. I'll upgrade next time around.
Excellent purchase my friend very happy for you the ES is a gem in the lineup
I actually really enjoy the newer ES350's when I get them for loaner service cars. You were better off with it too as that LX would probably have cost what your ES car payment is just in gas alone lol
That's a fact 😆 as far as pure comfort, the ES is actually superior than the new LS
Funny! I have a 2017 ES 350 that I used to put 30,000 miles per year on for outside sales....but I now work from home seeing our clients so I have decided to sell my ES and I am picking up a 2021 LC 500 Convertible Inspiration Series at the end of this month once it arrives! I will be lucky to put 4,000 miles per year on it. AN upgrade, for sure.....but needs change!
my dream car
The invy I'm feeling right now!!!
I'm curious if there would be enough head and legroom for me? Height : 6 ft 5 inches.
My friend was 6' 2" he had no issues fitting but hmm idk might be a tighter squeeze for you but I think you could make it work. Apparently Corvettes have a lot of space and the Mercedes S class Coupe has the most space I've seen in a coupe
Unit sales of this luxury Grand tourer?
I entered a sweepstakes for that heavily modded lc500 you mentioned at that was sold at the of the video. Hope I win
The Grandson of the Sc400 💯 😌🤤🥴
Instant classic!
Haha yea I would like it to be
Cheers Mr Lexus!
Haha yes sir!
The LC 500 and the LFA are my dream cars!!! Have you ever driven an LFA?
Never drove the LFA my friend, but Savagegeese will be posting an LFA video in the coming weeks stay tuned for it
Perfect power for what it is
Its amazing for street driving
