It's interesting how driving a car like that can really change driving habits. It's funny how you mentioned when you had the Corolla you were the fastest car on the road but now with the LC you are much more cautious.
I agree, there are a lot of bad drivers out there. Even when you don't make mistakes, you can't control what the other people do around you so you have to be extra careful.
I also dreamed about the neon Lamborghini as a kid, but as an adult you realize how impractical something like that is and how there are few places or situations you can actually drive it.

Haha yea I really like how aside from the attention this car gets, its totally drivable everyday just have to be a bit more cautious but yea a corolla is the fastest car on the road lol 😆 thanks again for all your support

The LC is definitely special! This car is a masterpiece, to me! Kevin, you are so right about the stupid drivers out there! It’s ridiculous! Especially if you’re driving an expensive beautiful car like that! I would be nervous too. Make sure to try to enjoy it the most you can though!

Congrats and welcome to the LC club. I’ve watched a few LC reviews on people that may get it for a few hours or a weekend. They make negative reviews without learning the car. This car takes time to learn and get comfortable with.

I purchased a 2021 LC 500 a couple months ago same color red … I enjoy it a lot n it does get a lot of attention cuz it’s a rare car which ppl don’t see with its wide rear body that some ppl say , it has hips , lol .. Lexus came out with a unique Beast / Beauty car

Actually getting this LC 500 in black or white or blue wouldn’t necessarily make a bit of difference…it’s simply a neck breaker regardless of the hue. It’s lines and beautiful exotic design will get massive attention regardless of the color. Great job with your presentation by the way!!👍🏾
Nice car. The LC500 is definitely a sleeper. There aren’t that many out there. That is a good thing because it gives you some exclusivity which makes it special..
Yea i agree and also the media doesn't hype it up much because it doesn't do 0-60 in 0.8 seconds I think the on road fun is what makes this car great

Yea 911s aren't too flashy but I did remember when I had that 2013 Blue Boxster S spider everybody was looking at that too so idk lol
This car has such soul. after a certain point going for super fast isn't everything. An amazing sports GT car is sometimes best. This car has such emotion and I'm sure is just great to drive in. The interior is one of the best.
I agree! I really like how it is calibrated to be a street car and that they amplified all the qualities to make it fun on a road
I like my Mustang because it has all season tires, 18" wheels (curb and pothole protection), and I can pull up to most parking blocks/curbs and not touch. I like it even better because it has no moon roof, good sized trunk, and handles very well without the huge wheel/tires that so many have with the optional extras. I've a somewhat unique build in that I have the Recaros by themselves and not other options on it outside of the spare tire. I have no need for power seats, heated seats, or a heated steering wheel. You mention the weight and how it makes the car feel, I've got 600 lbs less weight and it still feels like it is a substantial car, yet very light on its feet. The V8 is marvelous. The only thing...a 16 gallon fuel tank. A miss on Ford's part. The other thing is that the oil change is somewhat expensive at 10 quarts of oil required. I was very surprised when you mention that Lexus chose to fill with conventional motor oil. I believe the synthetic has advantages over it and would use it anyway. No brake squeal for me and (to me anyways) the brakes are far better than most vehicles. No brake dust issues. The two comfort issues I have is that the seat belt should strap rubs on my neck at times. I don't understand why the height is not adjustable as on every other vehicle practically. The other thing is that my leg position is not optimal and on longer trips it get sore. I think it would help if the pedals were further away from me. I'm about 5'8", longer legs, shorter torso.

So how's the ride quality compared to the High Luxury cars you've driven? Is it more of an GT car or more Sporty? What about cabin noise? Could you do an 8 hour ride and not get tired? Basic questions like that. I am between this and the GTR and I'm conflicted if it's worth to sacrifice the performance of the GTR for Luxury.
Never driven a GTR but yea this is comfy as hell you can easily drive around the country in this

I simply love cars. I love going fast but the LC is a break from all of that. You have power when you want it but its not really all that important. Its all inclusive. Its not an RC for a reason. Its a Lexus LS with the 5.0 and in the shape of a coupe. It doesn't get much better. This might sound dumb but I get the same comfort seeing a LC as when I see a Honda Civic. Both cars mean something to me. Driving a cheap Civic is what showed me the magic behind driving an Automobile. I love cars like that but these days I'm looking ahead. I don't need a Lamborghini. Its not because its not attainable (because Gallardos are in the 80s now right), its because I want the whole experience. I need a car like the LC.
Same perspective driving 2019 ES300h, lovely car, same wonderful "gravitas", changed my driving habits also. I go 60 MPH on the freeway in cruise control, two slowest lanes on the right (hot rod drivers shoot for free space on the far right lane & get ticked off if you're even driving the speed limit). I change lanes for any car zipping up on my bumper, let 'em by. Not worth the stress or possible damage. I also park away from other cars.
Yea Philip I agree just today I got back from a quick drive and what a cluster it is out there my God there is no flow with these people you have the right mindset
@@MeynMotorGroup Lane jockeys, tailgaters and formula one wannabes; I'll blend in with guard rails, trucks, orange cones and other fixtures. Lots of space, then's the chance to open up...had my old '97 LS400 at 110 briefly, so smooth I couldn't tell, not another car in sight! Haven't tried curves/driveability yet with current 2019 ES 300h, great car, road solid compared to former 2017 ES350.

Nice car man. You couldn’t be more right. I’ve had my current car for the last 3 years and have only had people crash into it. Every time it was parked correctly. Nobody can drive nowadays
Love all the LC500 videos and your perspective on owning the car. You've helped me make my decision on getting one. I've watched tons of videos on UA-cam and so many common themes on the car. Having owned AMG and M cars for the past 20 years I'm ready to jump to Lexus and get this amazing car. How it looks is just awesome in my opinion. AMGs are just pricey and I wasn't impressed with the one I owned except for the massive torque. Been driving M cars for years and the M brand is just getting diluted by all this M package crap on their non M cars. The direction of styling BMW is headed is just not impressive to me. Like you mentioned, I don't want more flash than the car has already so I'm going to go with black. Never leased and you pointed that out so need to look into that. Thanks man!

I think you will like the LC sadly leasing on these is pretty terrible now, back in 2020 they went for like $1100-$1200 a month but nowadays the interest rate on the lease is so high, these vehicles are leasing for $2,000 a month which is more than a 2022 Mercedes SL 63 or a 2023 Porsche 911 Carrera.
Def look into the leasehackr forum, it's a great resource and the calculators there can show you the interest rates on leases especially autocompanion's calculators.
Financing or paying cash for a new LC with a $10k discount might be the best move if you're interested. Best of luck
Beautiful color combo I have the same but an 18 model. Truly a special car, make sure you get the front end and hood wrapped with PPF being low with a long hood rocks tend to skip off of the hood and ding the paint a little. Enjoy it to the fullest!

I’m trying to decide between this and Nissan GTR and it’s tough. GTR is more supercar however the LC500 just looks like LFA/Aston. I’m coming from a MKIV Supra turbo. The GTR scares me because of the transmissions issues and the Lexus would probably be better on maintenance. They should make an LFA style front bumper for the LC I’m not a fan of the weird grille but everything is is perfect
I've actually never driven a GTR but idk I think this V8 is very special i just got done driving the C8 corvette and I would not choose a C8 over this car. If you have experienced high horsepower before and you're over it, I think you will fall in love with the LC but please test drive one if you can
Red and yellow are the only colours to have for it to really look good. It is a feelgood car, an expression of "Hey how good looking is this car compared to the ugly boxes that you see everyday". Freedom of expression, a statement to the world saying life does'nt have to be this way

Videos of this car don't do it enough justice because it's gorgeous in real life. Having said all that, it's still a lexus so paying 100 grand for it is somewhat CRAZY. But it's an eye catcher.

Ha ha. You’re right, it doesn’t matter where you are from, there are stupid drivers out there side by side going 5-10 mph under the speed limit. It’s only funny cause it’s true. So far I’m enjoying just sitting back while you’re enjoying your new car, again, it’s good to see someone who appreciates a truly exceptional automobile. I’m sure it’s more awesome in person, but your videos make me feel like I’m there. Yeah have good insurance especially the windshield protection. The dealer cost to replace my windshield for the lx570 was close to $4k, luckily insurance deductible wasn’t $100 to cover it.
Yea red cars are kind of trouble lol. Haters are very interesting creatures I rather enjoy entertaining their little conscience because you know that only someone who is really hurting can be a hater. Its insane because now I know why people who drive fancy cars never look that happy its cuz they have a massive car note lol. But they get all the hate because people think they "made" it

Maybe a bit off topic but on the subject of daily drivers: of all the cars you’ve driven which is your favorite 4 door wagon/hatch/suv for under 60k new or used?
Genesis G80 for sure I also like the 2013-2017 Lexus LS 460. Not going to lie those Porsches are very good a CPO Cayenne would be sick. Lexus IS 350 F sport is good and a regular GS 350 is solid but G80 is superior to both especially with V8.
Good lease options the current BMW 440i gran coupe was awesome but C43 amg has more character. These are some daily driver cars I like hope it helps
Awesome looking vehicle, I had a neighbour a few months ago, with I'm sure is the same model but in white, it's like nothing else you see on the road, I had to focus my eyeballs to take it all in, as if looking at a supercar, happy for you, as I'm still happy. with my Kia Stinger. 😊

Honestly I'd be happy with an RC..or dare I say even a GS/ES..but your LC 500 is probably the best possible way to spend $100k on a car IMO when you consider the quality, design, engineering and bespoke look/feel. I always thought, if I won the lottery I'd get a Lambo or Ferrari or McLaren, but really the LC is all the car you'll ever need and more.

Buying a new car, I am always hoping to find a car that really feels like a step up; one that makes me excited to drive it, but usually for me that is because of the sophistication of the drive, and not just raw power, or cornering ability. When you say that this car impresses you more than cars that cost much more, I presume you are noting that differention, though sometimes it's difficult to capture that feeling in words.
I did feel that way the first time I drove the LS 400, and again when I bought a GS 400 in 98. If you get that feeling from this car, then it's a jewel. Seems too much of a car's value is based on their apps, the tech "wow" factor.
My good friend bought a new Tesla, the S with dual power, and took me for a ride. OK, the tech is incredible, the air ride was comfortable, the acceleration obscene, but the interior was .... meh. He didn't let me drive it, I don't know if it has that "it", but I will tell you that the rear seat was liking sitting on a low sofa, and I didn't like it.
By the way, in other reviews, there is a 100% recommendation to skip the LC 500 hybrid.
Yes my friend that was exactly what I was referring and it is almost impossible to portray in words but usually the cars that you can't quantify with numbers or specs are those special cars much like that LS400 you mentioned.
No Tesla does not have that special something but it was made for people who hate cars so they think its cool.

@@MeynMotorGroup it was! He drove around his hometown area doing some car spotting. It was mostly older, unique vehicles that aren't around or aren't paid much attention to by those of us who don't know any better. But with Doug the content's not ever really too dry for me :P.
Once the world opens back up you'll have to take the LC on a trip and hopefully find a road that's lacking of morons with brown Ford Fusions and lane hogs 😂 I live in PA so the general story remains the same... Two-lane highways with more often than not, some person/person's camping the left lane despite no longer passing anyone. Luckily the Stinger feels pretty agile for 4,000 lbs. And if I WANT to be a hooligan, I could be, but I very seldom do that stuff anymore. I've taken a liking to the luxuries in the car lately. Radar cruise in comfort w/ the audio system playing new songs for me to listen to, now that I found out how to make the speakers sound better, it's been quite nice.

Lol......I love what you said about drivers today; I told my wife I'm surprised that there aren't more road rage incidents today with the lack of consideration shown by folks on the road ....whether going too slow on their phones or zipping in and out of traffic recklessly. @@MeynMotorGroup ironically, the exhaust note of the LFA is exactly what I desired but alas not possible in my lil ol Stinger.....without substantial changes.....certainly not worth that aggravation.....but in time , I'll see how close I can get ; whether it's older supercar or something yet to be developed.....

I have the RCF. I always debated on trading in for a LC because it looks so good on the road/freeway. It definitely gives a different vibe

I'm right with you young man I just purchased a 2017 Lexus GS 350 F Sport and I get a lot of attention as well and as far as driving conditions you're right it's a lot of idiots out there am I good friend who's like a big brother has a Corvette and a brand new Ford Explorer Sport always says most of these people don't have anything to lose they don't have anything of value and the insurance they have it's just to get the car on the road so you won't get much and returned if they hit you maybe you can choke the s*** out of them LOL enjoy your car because I'm enjoying mine you're right it's so smooth and quiet besides the music I play in it enjoy your man God bless and be safe
