Coventry Motofest 2023 - One Big Alarm! American Police Cars in the UK

Taken from the viewing perspective of Warminster Township Police Department car unit 74-25, a 2009 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor.
Coventry was the host city for Motofest 2023, exhibiting cars of all kinds, including the famous American police cars that you see on TV. We arranged a gathering of around 40 cars to meet and attend the event. We travelled far and wide to give Coventry a good show.
Around 9AM, we departed the Asda meeting point and rolled as a convoy towards Coventry's inner ring road. Phase 1 - Roll as a convoy for two laps around a section of the inner ring road in front of spectators. Lights & sirens permitted. Phase 2 - Roll slowly as a convoy around the narrow city centre streets in front of more spectators. Lights & sirens permitted. Phase 3 - Park and exhibit in front of the Coventry Transport Museum.

Most of those are obviously pretty old. But the Miami/Dade Explorer, those are still in use😂

The older emergency vehicles find a new life in the UK as once they retire from service, they become more affordable to purchase and import. The first few Explorers and Taurus models have only come to the UK in recent years as they don't stay in service as long as the Crown Vic does. The Miami Beach police Explorer in the video I believe is just a remake, not a genuine Miami Beach car. The blue Explorer is the same as that came from a Sheriff's Office but was redone as Fairhaven PD from Need for Speed.
