The most recent drummer has completely ruined this track. The epic cymbal playing Elia Wood brought to this song is completely gone. Here is the back track without Twain's lead vocals. Pure power pocket drumming at it's finest. There was a reason that E was awarded Country/Americana drummer of the year my the major drummer magazine. This is another catchy Shania tune. I think a lot of us are waiting for "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under." All of my other reaction channel peeps have reacted to it. It's a more country/blues song.

She lived in Switzerland for quite a few years, but recently she’s had Residency at the Planet Hollywood and Casino in Las Vegas; she’s currently on her third Residency there, which is scheduled to run through December 2024. Her most recent album is Queen of Me, released in 2023.
Shania is still making music and touring, she just released a new album last year. She took an extended break from music (she didn't release an album for 15 years from 2002 to 2017) because she was diagnosed with Lyme disease and it massively affected her vocal chords and she had to work hard for a long time to be able to sing again. But now she's back singing and making new music!

That album with the videos, was the pinnacle for me, after that is was just pop junk, completely forgettable. Successful though, the ladies like pop fluff.
I'm an old hippie, Woodstock era and saw many rocking concerts. But Shania Twain was one of the best concerts I ever saw. Outstanding.
Just watched a documentary series about the Laheys who were on tour with Shania back in the day. Understand the Lahey family has been performing since childhood, and they were very complimentary about the professionalism and class of Shania and her organization.

@@dennisshaper4744 I'm no big fan of Shania's music, but there's no denying the sacrifice, work and determination she put into her career since childhood. Through no fault of hers she had a difficult life and chose to make lemonade out of lemons. She may have made bubble gum pop as you choose to call it but she did everything else around it to sell it, no mean feat.

Just got my tickets to see her this summer!!!! She is coming to my home province in Canada for the first time ever, and sold out all three shows in less than an hour. Our entire province has lost our minds in Shania Twain fever!!!

Shania is currently doing a Las Vegas residency and she is still releasing albums over the last few years. I read that she had Lyme disease in 2003 and her voice was affected so she sounded a bit different
Oh man ! ...lol .. this takes me back to 2003 my daughter who's now graduating from Tampa University with a degree in enviromental science listened to this song from her walker and would jam out to when Shania sang " gonna getcha getcha getcha " 😂.. what a beautiful memory for me 😊

She went 15 years without putting out new music but in 2017 came out with cd titled Now and she released another one in 2023 called Queen of Me with a song on there called Giddy Up you might enjoy
❤This is from 2002 so it is actually early in her career......22 years ago. She wrote or co- wrote most all of her songs and really did usher in the "female power" country pov along with her stage performances having more Pop or Rock energy. She is a badass.

Shania is my all time favorite musical artist! From This Moment On was the 1st dance song at my wedding. Her concerts are spectacular, too! I believe she performs in Las Vegas on a regular basis.

You've got to give Shania's song "If you're Not in it For Love - I'm Outta Here" a listen. For me, it's Shania at her best. Also, "Who's Bed Have Your Boots been Under?" Both are great and Shania was at her peak form. This video you reacted to was filmed shortly after Shania had her baby.
This is off her 2002 album Up! That also had “Forever and for always” that you reacted to. It’s a unique album as theres three different versions. A pop, country and an Indian flim version.
She was away for about a decade after suffering from Lyme disease and a divorce but just recently came out with a new album that has some pretty catchy tunes. “Giddy up” is one you definitely should check out. I think you guys will love that one.
You also definitely should react to some of her early work especially off her debut album from 1993. Not many, if anyone has reacted to those songs.
My daughter is a huge Shania fan and was living in Scotland for a few years recently. She was serving in a restaurant in Glasgow and after serving a table she told the manager how much the lady looked like Shania twain. The manager told her "That was Shania!". My daughter almost cried that she missed her chance but on reflection said she would have probably been a babbling fool had she known it was really her.

Mutt Lange produced a lot of her music while they were married. He was the producer for Def Leppard and for AC/DC Back in Black which should explain why Jay likes the sound.
Shania Twain's album 'Up!' in 2002 was the last record before her split w/ her husband & producer/ co-writer Robert Mutt Lange (who had made megahits by AC/DC, Def Leppard, Foreigner, Heart, etc.) in 2008... She took a decade off to recuperate and recover from vocal issues related to her breakup... She returned in 2017 w/ the album 'Now'... her first since her debut album without Lange.

I first got into country music around 2001. Shania Twain CDs were playing in my car a lot. The whole family loved her. There was some beef betwen Shania fans and Faith Hill fans. Faith Hill fans always said 'Shania is not really country.'

The Shania Twain of the 90s cannot be named in a sentence without mentioning the name of her husband, songwriter and producer Robert John ''Mutt'' Lange. He is the brain behind every note of her songs. He is also the man behind the sound of Def Leppard in the 80s and Brian Adams in the 90s. The songs he writes almost always sound like a country or pop version of Def Leppard. The work and layer of music is constantly staggering. And he almost always ends his songs with a definitive, cool ending. It rarely fades away.

She is still singing, but she had a long pause for like 15 years, due to getting Lyme disease and losing her voice. She thought she'd never be able to sing again, but finally came back and last year came out with a brand-new album. You definitely should check out some of her newer songs, but I think it's important to go in order as well and work your way to the newer stuff, instead of back and forth... but up to you. Definitely should check out more of her music asap. Here's a list of my favorites of hers. It's a long list, but you can do them when you see fit, but you'll have a list of her older music and then I'll add a couple of her newer stuff that I liked.

Hey guys thanks for doing this one shania also has another version of this song where it's a little more futuristic it's a rock version this song was released on that album as she did 2 versions of the "UP" album with a country versions and a Rock versions of the same songs so you might enjoy watching that one in your own time she did a lot of CGI of her on a futuristic bike chasing that guy flying through a tunne. She did d a stage show concert in Las Vegas similar to Celine Dion, some songs can be found from that show on UA-cam or on DVD so that would be nice for you to watch to get to see more of her stuff live but she did release an album about 2 to 4 years ago but she's been on a long hiatus prior to that and her Las Vegas back in 2012 to to 2015 I believe just raising her son and getting remarried as she went through some personal trauma end of her marriage over 15 years ago from the man who helped her make her career that caused an issue where she was unable to sing for years. Also, a lot of people today especially under 35 years old don't know that Shania and her now Ex husband Mutt actually created a new type of country music that we now call country rock today it didn't exist prior to the release of her second album I think back in 95 I believe it was and yeah she disrupted the traditional bango style country music scene so much that they did not want her to appear at the CMA's or the Grand Old Ophary for over a decade because she was the first female country artist to wear crop tops where your navel was showing as it was very offensive at the time and she was called very bad names and as you can see today wearing a crop top is like nothing and a lot of the young women started to follow her and the whole crop top story is funny it wasn't meant to cause controversy it was just Shania with a tight budget for her video and thought the outfit was cute had no idea the storm it was going to cause and the absolute ostracizing her and her now Ex husband Mutt Lang from country music industry because he'd introduced the electric guitar to country music, the older artist were offended by that. But look who's laughing now, but with Country Rock now a part of the landscape of country music this history fact has been lost about Shania & Mutt Lang role in it' s creation a lot of people just think that it' always been part of country music but it wasn't until they introduced it into her music as he is a rock music producer and a fan of country music and hence Country Rock music was born in the 90's.

Men loved her, obviously - for her looks & sass (esp.) & voice, - [right J. 😉], while women loved her for (her voice), her positivity, her sass, her confidence (& her all girls together inclusion) - [right, Amber 😀]. MANY females wanted to be just like her. Some women focus just on men but despite her looks, Shania didn't just give her attention back to men, she wanted a group of girls with her ie. "Let's go, girls..."(the first lines in her song "Man! I Feel Like a Woman.")
She has had a really rough life - ALL the way through. I hope things are better for her now, but at least she knows she has a fan base that thinks she's great & love (& some even adore) her (ahem, J. ?)

She is still performing and going out on tour. She is doing 3 outdoor concerts in my hometown of st. John's Newfoundland in August and they sold out in record time.

Hello, yes, Shania has a nice range of songs. I have liked her since her first titles were published here in Germany in 93/94. If you would like to see Shania almost live, I can only recommend the DVD from her legendary open air in Chicago You can see their whole range. I was lucky enough to experience them live here in Germany in 2004. Greetings from Germany
Man, before she was signed to a country contract she did rock. You gotta check out one of her demos called Wild And Wicked. It is 80s rock that fits in beside Bon Jovi and the bands from the decade

There are 2 versions of this song, one is this one - more rock (red version) and the other is more country (green version) which I like better. Same outfit but she is on a motorcycle.

Shania Twain's son was born in 2001 and she decided to scale back her career for a while to concentrate on being a mom. She suffered another career setback when she was diagnosed with Lyme Disease around 2004. This severely weakened her and made it difficult to perform and sing. She resumed her career somewhat after her divorce in 2010. Since then, she has focused on performing mostly in Las Vegas. Since then, she has put out 2 new albums, "Up" in 2017 and "Queen of Me" in 2023. These 2 albums have done well, but nowhere as well as her previous work. Shania is not 59 years old and does limited touring and promotion.
