What i love the most about Air Tanzania is the mtto of them "The wings of Kilimanjaro". when read it in my mind it always build me a picture of those mountains the greenery and the animals.. that beautiful culture....
I flew with Captain Arif from Lusaka to Dar, the flight was delayed but I really enjoyed the way this guy handles the Craft, smooth take off and landing.
Ya...Boeing tried every dirty trick in the book to kill this Canadian aircraft. Even discounted 737's from 92 million to 22 million for Delta. When Bombardier tried to discount, Boeing tied them up in knots in trade courts and Bombardier ended up in a desperation deal with Airbus, losing control of an absolutely beautiful and much desired Canadian designed and built aircraft. So sad.
Wouldn't mind this captain flying me around any day, I'm from Bangladesh and we have just acquired couple of dreamliners but wont mind having this captain flying me! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you Captain!

I am very proud of the Airbus 220's Canadian design, Bombardier designed a fabulous aircraft but lost control of its development costs. Airbus saved Bombardier from financial disaster. I grew up living across from Cartierville Airport and Canadair which later became Bombardier in Saint Laurent,Quebec. I do hope Airbus will succeed in successfully marketing the Airbus A220 for many years to come.
So lucky to have been given this experience ! Happy Birthday to the captain and thanks for sharing this experience with us ! I LOVE flying and hope to be able to get on the Air Tanzania Airbus 220 soon as well !

The Airbus A220 series whose origins (the C series) comes from Canada's Bombardier Aerospace is truly a beautiful, comfortable, quiet and a very capable narrow bodied jet purposely built for medium haul trips. I am truly joyed to see this great plane fly in Africa under the colours of Air Tanzania, a very promising airline indeed. I therefore hope to see more African airlines opt for this plane for short and medium haul trips, it certainly beats the competition in most areas, thank you Josh for a lovely review and happy belated good wishes to the captain.
