not my original quote but it's very important
good quote
Oh I hear *"planettary"* 😅😂😂
mr beast heard that and said "well i didnt plant a single tree 20 years ago so....."
Yes
I havnt seen a video that caught my emotional side like this for years now. That was perfect, big props to you Brody.
I average 16 seconds for a while now, I did not give up until now, and after this video I espacially wont give up. Determination is a skill everyone that wants to compete in life should be able to focus on and you showed me once again how much cubing can be related to the actual day to day life. So yes, that motivated me on levels my parents couldnt lol
I will sit down now, write my applications for university and then I will start learning the dotcases so I finally know full OLL.
I will mention you if I ever win something great. Big thanks
Krebutalex damn are you and i the same person

Me: *look at my perseverence*
My perseverence: Dont even think about improving me
@Spikes lol same here
Haha
I seem to have a lot of perseverance, and I think the reason why is because for every skill I have, I have hardly ever given up on a skill, if I did it is usually because I wanted to put more time into another skill that I enjoyed more.
I was around 1:20 with beginner method, about a month ago, after years, I finally sucked it up and learned cfop. Yes I was slower at first, yes I messed up alot, but all you need to do is just practice, that’s how you learned how to solve in the first place right? Well now I’m 40-50 secs with my fastest being a 40.2, if you wanna be faster, just take the time. The algos may be intimidating at first but I PROMISE YOU, it’s not as complicated as you think, trust me :)
Lol i use beginner method avarege about 35 sec and 22 sec pb.. but im learning f2l for a month now and i can 2 look oll and 2 look pll... the sad thing is that im slower with f2l and you just proved to me that it is at the beginning slow.. ty
me have practice a year and im my average 27 pb 20sec
I'm cubing for about a year and my PB is 5.127 sec and my avg is between 14 and 15 seconds. It's all about your dedication
i average ~30 and my pb is 20 and i totally agree with you
(i still don't know full OLL 💀)
@@5hadovyeah your pb isnt 5.127 but nice
4:58 Did he just said "Baby you try to take the next step to get faster,"?
For 3 years (with some breaks) I've been averaging 12 seconds on 3x3. Thanks Brody, I needed this video
Brody one day ima be faster than you and you’ll regret this video 👊🏻 it’s on
Count me in too
actually he'll be proud you learned from him
Same here
Brody, nice comeback! There are hardly anyone who teaches these important things in cubing! Great Job!
Brody: Issues challenge to prove him wrong
Me: challenge accepted wont know until i try
I feel like this video was uploaded at the exact right time and was meant of me. Over the past month I have been putting off learning OLL and F2L algorithms. This has made me almost quit cubing altogether until this video came. Thank you much much Brody!
hey Brody! i just want to thank you for all the content you make i have learned so much from your F2L videos. i have been cubing for about 5 months and i average 13 i think this is crazy without you i would not be this fast.
i've been waiting for this for a lot of times! thank you Brody
woah he hearted me!
Thanks man, this video really helped me get the courage to learn f2l and get faster at 3x3, since ive been stuck in 30 seconds for months now. You really deserve a like and a subscribe and I really wish I could do more than that
This video was awesome! I’ve been improving a lot thanks to many of your vids, and I just won my first comp this Saturday
This is truly motivational 🙌🙌
I got stuck in begginers method for 4 years and lost intrest for another year.
Next year I continued with beginners but seemed boring. Then I found someone who cubed with beginners as me but he was waay faster than me. I spent like a month learning reduced cfop an became sub 1 min, that motivated me to continue learning cfop(as i am now). We still compete and i had a PB of 26" and he had 25" but today I cubed a lot and got a some Lucky scramble that lead me to a sub20 PB. That is basicly what keeps up my determination rn.
really great video man, it was nice to help edit the script and now see it done!
This is THE best motivational video.....nice job Brody
Waiting 27 hours
Hey, Thanks a lot,
I'm not a cuber but my friend recommended your channel just to watch for entertainment. I'm actually a competitive swimmer. I'm 12 years old and I'm in the top 100 in my country. I've been doing swimming for 6 years and I completely agree with you. You need dedication and some kind of purpose to excel in a skill.
Don't give up your dreams that's all I'm saying
Well I know what I'm doing in 27 hours! Also, thumbnail as it is now is hilarious.
Ok Cross +1, you defeated me enough times, it's been almost a year since I attempted to conquer you and I failed a bunch of times, now is the time to end this. you're the last obstacle for me to reach sub-10. I'll defeat you...
Well... I'll finish you after all my research defense is done.
Thank you for such amazing content brody! You are the best, most helpful and most motivational and inspirational cubing channel ever! Love ur content!
Great one Brody 👍
Thank you for this. I've finally stopped averaging 29 for a year and went down to sub-25 and now learning full PLL and after, advanced F2L. Thank you for giving me the motivation to continue.❤️❤️❤️
This video really helped me. Now from today onwards i am going to learn full oll. Thankyou so much for your advice brody :)
Brody, insightful video. The graph depicting people dropping out was awesome. I’m at the stage of learning complete OLL and improving look ahead.
My concern is that I neglect other parts of my life, so I’ve been cubing less. But now you’ve motivated me to complete the process!
*Brody,you're absolutely right!!!*
*At the beginning it was very hard for me to learn F2L for the first time and I really wanted to give up learning it :/*
*Now I somehow like F2L and I do get well on with it!* *I usually average around 12/13 seconds...*

"funny comments on this"
brody dropping another banger, showing this to all my beginner method friends ❤️
its been an honor to watch this channel grow.
you teach more helpful things other cubers cant teach
This can be applied to daily life and not just cubing. Good life lesson! I’m at sub 34 for quite sometime and now I’m retraining myself to be better at F2L. I had a habit at keep doing a beginners method. So I slowed down and doing practice solves. This put my time up 1:10 or so but it not discouraging me, I’ll get better and starting to see my matches a bit faster. Perseverance and time is key! I’ll get to my PB but it’s the journey to get me there that I love. Thanks for posting this Brody!
Great video
Immediately subbed as a new cuber
I use beginner method and trying to learn cfop. This vid will help me alot thanks!
I hope I will be determined enough!
Edit : The quality of video is great and I'm surprised to see that your channel is underrated! I hope you will grow soon and will become one of the biggest channels.

Wow. This was such a helpful video. No one else makes videos like this. I’m stuck at 1:45 at 5x5, and I haven’t improved in 5 months. I’m trying to get better, but I can’t. I just need to persevere. Thanks Brody!!! 👍👍👍

Thanks for making this vidio i feel way more motivated now
This was an incredible boost of confidence
THIS IS SO GOOD!!!!
Thanks for the video I sunset know where to go next
I've been stuck trying to get sub-20 for quite a while now. I put off cubing for a couple of years, as I lost interest in speedcubing. It wasn't until recently that I decided to take on the challenge again. The idea of perseverance doesn't just apply to cubing, but also to life in general. Thank you for your wise words Brody!
are you sub-20 now?
Man Brody ur positive thoughts continue to inspire me thanks man soon sub 15 believe that
Never Give Up
I have been cubing since 2016, and I've hit many road blocks in the events I do, but even how many times I switch event focus, it still doesn't change the fact that I have a lot of room for improvement, and that keeps me going in trying to get better, and right now, I'm still along the journey, and I've still got a long way to go.
Thanks for getting this message out!
Thank you for this message I believe be that this is what I need to keep going
This is a great video.
I was inseparable from cubing until I slowed down around 17 seconds. I altogether stopped cubing for months.
I eventually came back and dropped times eventually to low 15 averages, with occasional sub-15 averages. I was stuck for about 8 months at that level and couldn't improve after learning full OLL. However, I kept grinding and didn't give up.
Don't give up, the feeling of finally dropping your times is awesome.
I am now sub-14.
Thx for the tips.
Gooa Brody,I will keep that in my mind
Can’t wait!!
You inspired me ❤️❤️❤️ I was sub 50 and with you and all of your vids I became sub 30 your the best ❤️❤️
Bruh I was stuck averaging 16 for like a Year and a half. I also was stuck at 13 for 2 years. I feel like if you want to improve bad enough then you'll put in the effort. Taking a break isnt going to make it so you can never improve.
Very true
I don’t often like videos from cubing youtubers but I really see how much you invested into the writing of this video. I started cubing around March of last year (wow that’s a long time) and for months I was stuck on beginner’s method. I learned it from the cheat sheet that came with the box and didn’t even know it was called beginner’s method. With it, I was able to get my average to around one minute, give or take ten seconds. In September I met these other two cubers who were sub-30 and thought they were so good only thanks to finger tricks. But then I realized the way they were solving was very different from mine; cross on bottom, f2l, 4lll was not something I was aware of at all. And when they saw me solve, they found my way of doing it very strange and confusing (I guess they didn’t know or remember beginner’s method?). Today, I’ve learned intuitive f2l and am trying to perfect my 2-look oll. I definitely think it helps with perseverance to be able to view learning new algs and getting new solves as a challenge that would reward new satisfying milestones, much akin to that endorphin hit you mentioned. Thank you for your message my dude. I’m a long way from getting a WR but you made me reflect on this journey and I appreciate that.
This video keeps me more motivated and inspired to get out on sub 20. Thanks dudeeee!!!
I needed motivation because I was feeling sad af, and this just made my day. This advice doesn't only works for cubing, it works for life.
Brody u are my hero
Best vid yet!
Great video! I learned to solve a cube in the early 80s, I have no idea what F2L is or "Beginner's Method", PLL etc. I solve it using the "friend's collective" method from magazines and person to person (no internet lol) top, bottom, middle. I never considered going faster I just like going bigger but one of these days I'm going to figure out some of these methods. I'll never be fast, my age is creeping up on me but its fun to keep sharp!
Thanks!😀👍
Damn, this is motivating
Thank you! Its taking forever for me to be sub 20 with roux but you motivated me to keep practising
loves this video
A few years late, but even at a high level, I can still relate somewhat to the message of this video.
woaji da woaji 👍
thanks for this greatful vid-
Dam, I don’t know what to say... You’re just a coach rn, I don’t think anyone would have said what you just said. Perseverance is, I don’t know. Thanks Brody, I realize that this could be applied to anything, like drawing or running. Those are other things I do as a teen, and cubing. I’m only sub 50 which isn’t the best but I haven’t given up yet. I’ve learned the basics and some advance F2L cases, and trying to learn oll and pll. So far, I haven’t give up yet probably never will.
0:55 I took 8-9 years before I learnt to solve it properly. I used to quit halfway. Get motivated after 2 years but by then I have forgotten what I learnt before and quit again. Crazy to think that I struggled to memorize some small easy algs while now I know PLLs, Algorithmic F2Ls, OLLs...
this video just encourages me more to learn to learn 2 step OLL
hi brody
this video is good as hell
take a shot whenever he says perseverance
well, i became sub 20 after 72 (2 and a half month almost) days of learning cfop, before that i just knew how to solve a cube, but really slow
You are what we want❤️❤️
I needed this video about 3/4 of a year ago. From May 2018 to May 2019, I refused to learn CFOP and was stuck at averaging 40 seconds, and I almost quit cubing. At the time, I realized that Western Champs was only about a month away, and learned OLL and PLL in under a week. Now I have learned Full PLL, and average Sub 18.5
Thank you so much. For real.
Honestly I needed this video right now. Because of COVID-19 my motivation to cube really went down, but recently I've started practicing seriously again. I have some really old official results that I really want to beat at my upcoming comps. I got demotivated after not getting a sub 30 official 4x4 average or beating my 7.88 official 3x3 average at my last comp, but this video really helps me change my mindset. Thank you so much for this advice.
I cant learn cfop, its hard. But ill try, thanks for the advice man❤🙏
Didn't know that this was the video I needed to see. Looks like I've got some work to do 💪
I won't give up, cubing is too fun lol
This is literally true for any activity
