Hello! Looking back, if I could change something, I would keep a spiritual journal of all the things the Lord has done in my life - from the big things to the smallest answered prayers. I find that my memory is not as good as I would like it to be, and so much has been forgotten.
That is a great idea. I read through the Bible every year and I journal daily on my impressions of the Scripture for that day. I believe it would be helpful to write down all your answered prayers to revisit them years later. This is also a legacy to hand down to family.
I love keeping journals but I'm not as diligent as I used to be. I think my Facebook page and UA-cam channel serve as a living journal of all God's doing in my life at the time. ♥
@@thehomespunwife Yes! I think its wonderful that you have "living journals" that capture the progress of your life. I also admire the dedication and commitment that you have in keeping up with it - a gift to your future self! ☺
I recently found you two on UA-cam and I have enjoyed both channels so much. Your transparency comes forth and that is endearing. I would love to know you both better. 😊 TY for the ways you encourage us to do well and finish well. Blessings to you both and to your next season of life. HE is faithful!!
Thank you so much for watching and your positive comments. I have posted a video called, “ Three secrets of a successful sermon,” that gives an introduction to sermon prep.
Oh, you two, love you both! You are the cutest couple. Oh, I received my "I Am Enough" book today! I'm going to make a list of the 7 things I would do differently and share it with you. Have a blessed and lovely day! 💞
Such helpful information for ministry and plain old everyday life. If I could change something, it would be to have started my silent prayer time earlier in life. When I was in 30s I blessed with a pastor who asked me to sit in total silence with the Lord every morning for at least 15 or 20 minutes. No talking his ear off during that time, just listening with an open heart. I wish I had been doing that from my teens. I'm in my 60s now and can see how precious that time has been. I wish I had read the church fathers and desert fathers earlier in life too as they informed my understanding of scriptures and the life of the early church and how I should live today.
Hello beautiful couple! This was good information to hear! I had to do a lot of managing of expectations before I was retired. Now I manage more expectations!😅 I subscribed!
Hi! I’m not a pastor or pastor’s wife, just an engaged member of our small Baptist church. I have a question for Vince. I can see that our pastor is running on all cylinders every day of the week and is so overwhelmed. How can I , as one of his flock, help him? I already play the piano for his once a week children’s chapel and I volunteer in the church’s ESL program. Is there anything I could say, other than being appreciative of all he does? I’m not his wife or Mama, so I’m thinking it’s not my business to ask if he is taking care of his health or could he just start delegating tasks in a better way. Do you have any advice? Thanks so much for this interesting video! ❤-Brenda
Thank you for your kind words and thank you for your concern for your pastor. A have a couple of ideas that could help your pastor not to burnout. First, I would speak to his wife and encourage her as she serves by his side. Secondly, I would speak to the church leaders to make sure they are aware of the workload that he is under. Remember, October is Pastor Appreciation month so encourage the church to honor their pastor. Thirdly, pray for him and his family. I will be praying for your pastor!
Thank you for sharing these words of wisdom with us. :)

Thank you for sharing! The ability to pray and patiently wait for the Spirit of God is a true blessing! We can always start a good habit today!
It's so hard to sit and listen...to be completely still and in tune with God. But how much we benefit from that practice can't be measured!
Thank you thank you. Very enjoyable video! 🌼👋🌼
