I inherited a sewing machine from my mother-in-law, and you inspire me to learn to use it.
Learn together? I just got an old singer from my husbands grandmother! Cheers and good luck friend!
@@gracieshepardtothemax1743 You too!
Do it!
Awww 🥰
If you were teaching in person classes I would sign up so fast. love all the work you do
the real #metoo movement
Ha, project runway served him well.
Both the dress and Ashley are absolutely stunning. Those colors so perfect on her.
Pretty fabrics. You always find and choose pretty fabrics.
I love the intro! That fabric looks gorgeous against Ashley's red hair!!
You bring me such joy when I watch your creative process. 😊
this is a beautiful dress, I like the way the fabric flows in the wind :o)
Imagine having a Gunnar Deatherage dress😍 It's beautiful!
I can never get enough of beautifully patterned and draped dresses like this. Well done.
Not enough of you. Love watching you. Your the best. Beautiful dress. Looking forward to a long video with you all over it. 🍀♥️
Gorgeous dress as always. Perfect print for her skin tone. Love when you take photos in the desert.
Gunnar, the 2 year wait was worth it!! That was the perfect fabric for that dress. I just wasn't expecting the end so fast, I had to look down to make sure the red line was all the way to the end😭...
You are such a creative ⭐️ star!!! I love you and I respect you so much!! Keep doing you!!!!❤❤🙆🏻♀️🥰♥️♥️
I'm with you on the draping part 💕🥰💕❣ When I was in school draping was my FAVORITE part. Pattern making without draping first, was and will most likely always feel like death to me 😫 . Absolutely LOVE designing and sewing but I literally LOATHE the pattern making part. It's a good thing that we took that in school first because I almost quit during that class. Draping was next so I forced myself & pushed through it. But mostly it was because I knew I couldn't move forward without it 😂 . GORGEOUS piece as always, Magickal Muse❣❣
I've never been to fashion school but I LOVE pattern drafting with math and lines (I've never draped anything in my life)
That Avril Lavigne callout 😂. Honestly though pockets and that spring summer light florals print is amazeballs.
That is absolutely stunning on Ashley with her Red hair
Omg, matched her hair perfectly! Loved it! You def have a creative mind. 🥰
Love, love, love this dress. If this were in store/online I would buy it 3 seconds ago.
I love how flowy it turned out...great job! 🥰
Can you make a Persephone dress that shows the duality of queen of the underworld yet goddess of spring? Love your work!
That is beautiful!!
Oh my, this is absolutely gorgeous!!! I'd die for that dress! It might be simple but yet so beautiful and the design is perfect and so free, I love the fabric and the way it falls down and goes into shape! 😍😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩🤩
Maybe die for something worth it? I mean
I absolutely loved it, I love dress that flow freely, especially when the breeze hits it. Keep those masterpieces coming!🥰
Such a beautiful dress! The fabric looks dreamy. 🧡
Hi, Gunnar. I missed you👍 and your creative fashions. You have an ability to communicate telepathically. I can always hear you through your mind. That is a gift you possessed so dearly. You are always in my thoughts. 🌟
dang! that takes some serious concentration! but OMG IT'S GORGEOUS!!!!!
That fabric is gorgeous
Gunnar I so love and admire all your work!! Love these desert dress too!!!❤❤❤😊
I was so excited to see this notification pop up! This dress is absolutely gorgeous. I truly love watching you create these beautiful dresses, actually I love watching you create anything. You are so talented and for me it's the fact that I can tell your ❤ goes into every creation. Thanks for another great video!💜
Love to see that you also have difficulties with decisions. It‘s sooo
relatable!! Thanks for showing it ❤
That is absolutely beautiful I love that!
Omg! I just randomly found you! I’m in love! I’m in my 70s (feel 30) and have sewn my entire life. Learned on my own making Barbie Doll clothes! Then made my own clothes. No money, no patterns, just fabric sold by the pound and my imagination! Always looking to learn more. If you don’t mind a tip, when I gather fabric, I sew a zigzag basting stitch over plain dental floss. It doesn’t break!! And relatively cheap! Teach me stuff!! lol🩵
That is stunning! ❤
Just the most beautiful things come from you! 💖
I love this needs more time on camera its to pretty for the 2 second on camera cant see it enough ur a genius thats incredibly talented I want everything u make including this but I would to see from all angles like always u just master the fabric and make it become its absolute best self, you can turn something of not that great of a pattern to make me want it badly so take a bow.
What a beautiful dress! Love it! Everything you create is stunning and beautiful! You truly are an amazing artist!!
Gorgeous dress!😍🔥 Gunnar is such an inspiration~ every time I see a video I want to rip the curtains down and start sewing. (I don't though 😂 I learned from the last beautiful disaster I created. I leave fashion to the pros 😘💅)
pros dont start out as pros, with some practice you would be pro in a few years
I LOVE this dress so much! It looked stunning on Ashely with her red hair as well. Romantic, dreamy, and très chic!
Good evening lovely Gunnar and the beautiful Ashley, an absolutely gorgeous dress Gunnar and the colour and style looked stunning on her. I love watching your creations take shape and justs all the care you take to make a gown. I have seen the beautiful gifts that you have made for your mini fans and just how special you make their special outfits, making their dreams come true. FOr me, that kindness says just what a lovely, generous person you are and i can only wish that you get the recognition that you so thoroughly deserve. Thank you for sharing your stunning creations with us. Sending crafty hugs from Norah, Glenochil, Central Scotland
Miss you!! Glad to see you back! Loved the dress!!
Gunnar, I truly enjoy your videos. I appreciate that you create patterns easy enough for everyday people. The model you picked for the dress in this video plays off the colors in the fabric beautifully. You are a wonderful artist. Thank you for sharing!
Love that you use a Juki!!!! In 2018 I worked at a sewing factory making quality seat covers for pickup trucks. I used an amazing juki industrial sewing machine. If only I could afford one! My kiddos would be styling in my own designs that my imagination comes up with
I absolutely love your creations and your story.
Oh oh oh!!! I hope this pattern is available to purchase!!!! The floral isnt my taste, but the pattern itself is what ive been looking FOR
I would of loved that in a straightish longish skirt/dress style myself!!!
You are so incredibly talented
I ❤️❤️❤️❤️ your work. Congratulations on 2 Million!! Well deserved.
I used to sew and I miss it so much. So I live vicariously through your videos.
Love your new iTunes intro!!!! Missed you❤️
You are so talented and amazing! The dress is gorgeous! 💜
Had to laugh at the title! Because back in the day, every teen who sewed would slave to make a new outfit for the next day! No one I knew in our little town had a dress form! We sewed, tried on, looked in the warped hall mirror, adjusted…sewed some more, and around 1 a.m., our frock was done. Despite living in a little podunk town, there was an absolutely marvelous yardage store (as it was called back then). The owner was an elderly woman with the most exquisite taste in fabrics. Swiss cottons and eyelets that flowed like silk, silks that ranged from supple tails, heavy satins, gossamer chiffons to crisp but elegantly drapey tweeds, Pendleton woolens, knife-crisp piqués, and laces that went from sheerest cobwebs to stand alone re-embroidered masterpieces. One was so beautiful, but also the equivalent of $200/yard, but I was in love with it, so my grandma made me a tattersall wool coatdress, with that pricey lace as lapels and patch pockets out of a quarter yard. Very Carnaby Street!
I love watching your process and creativity. The garment should always frame the wearer, and your creations certainly do that beautifully.
Wowwww that’s is sooo cool …. You are an amazing creative person how beautifully you are creating new models … congratulations… and stay blesssed like this always …❤❤❤❤
I love the dress and the material. So beautiful! It is so beautiful for summer. You are so creative and talented! You need your own TV show! ❤
I just need a day in your studio, I'm sure I can learn a whole lot. ❤
Another beautiful work of art!🥰🥰 You never ever disappoint😍
I do wish I could afford one of your unique and stunning dresses!!! They’re just exquisite!
This turned out to be such a beautiful dress, and it looked just stunning on your friend Ashley!
I do have a suggestion, though. Have you thought about using a different model type? Maybe someone outside the fashion box? Older, larger bust, waist, and hips, maybe even someone taller or shorter than you usually work with? That sounds like it would be a great challenge!
yes us bigger chested girls want ur style the one girl he did with a blue dress that was bigger she needed some under garments to wear his beautiful gown she was gorgeous but the right underwear would have made her look much better in her bodice type dress but I dont know if the dress would have hidden the shape wear enough everything he makes is beautiful he has done a wide range just not very often but most in the fashion world dont which is why bigger girls dont have alot of attention.

That dress is beautiful! ❤
ypu create such fun and beauty wowmakes me want to learnhow to sew keep them coming your a true inspiration
Your voice makes me calm for some reason
"If I had boobs, it would be over for all of you." The truest statement of 2022. 🤣🤣🤣💚
To eliminate that funky bit over the bust, use a non- fusible interfacing and baste stitch just outside the seam line then grade/trim the interfacing seam allowance near to basting. The loose weave or mesh of interfacing will give a bit to eliminate those nipple wrinkles. Also when pressing that bodice seam try using a sleeve arm edge and don't press seam open flat, just the seam joining.
Youre so inspiring and i really really want to learn more about the basics of sewing! If you could make a little short about how to use your patreon? Ive never used that platform
me to as well I dont know what it is or how to use it im terrible with subscription accounts
The dress you made is absolutely beautiful! I love the swirly, floatiness about it. I notice that all your festive dresses are strapless. Have you ever made a festive dress with sleeves or shoulders?
Gorgeous!
A little more footage of Ashly would have been ❤❤❤. Love ur work!
Gorgeous,now I want a chiffon print dress😅
It is so beautiful
Love ur videos!
So beautiful.
Beautiful ❤️
I don’t know which I like better the fabric or the dress!
Gunnar USE A DOUBLE GATHER STITCH, it has more control. Even better, gather stitch EACH skirt panel BEFORE sewing them together. This way, REALLY protects you from possible breaking threads and you get way more control in spacing out the density of gathers. Plus you don't get any of those bits of the skirt caught up in the seam where you'd have to pick out and resew. God forbid you overlock trimmed with that stuff!
This man radiates positivity that I dont have
It's beautiful 💖💞
