We tell you EVERYTHING you need to know to buy the right indoor cycling bike for you.
Indoor cycling or spinning bikes are hugely popular machines both in gyms and at home. They are designed to provide the feeling of running on a conventional running bike but at home.
They are ideal for a varied workout, toning the lower body and burning calories. Exercising on a spinning bike is very focused on legs, thighs and buttocks.
    TRANSMISSION ⛓
The transmission is the way in which the pedals are connected to the flywheel, and it completely determines the pedalling sensation. Chain drive is more economical and offers a more realistic feel. But it is also noisier and requires more maintenance.
Belt drive is very quiet and virtually maintenance-free, but tends to be more expensive.
    GEARS 🔩
Most spinning bikes are fixed gear, so there is no dead centre and the pedals are always in motion. This makes them ideal for uphill workouts.
The gears can also be freewheeled, which makes them more similar to a conventional racing bike.
    RESISTANCE AND BRAKE 🧲
There are 3 types of braking systems.
    - Friction braking, where brake pads rub against and exert pressure on the flywheel, making pedalling more expensive.
    - Magnetic, in which magnets surround the flywheel. By adjusting the proximity of the magnets to the flywheel, the resistance increases or decreases.
    - Electromagnetic, which works in the same way as the previous one but is regulated by electric current. It can also be programmed to change automatically during exercise.
    FLYWHEEL ⚙️
A key element of the inertial system that rotates the pedals, determines the effectiveness of the resistance and greatly influences pedalling comfort. In general terms, the heavier it is, the more natural and fluid the pedalling sensation will be.
    PEDALS 🚲
They can be clipless, mixed or toe clips. The first ones allow the shoe to be attached to the pedal, providing greater support. Mixed or automatic shoes are similar but allow you to use a wider variety of footwear. And finally, toe clips allow you to attach your foot to the pedal while wearing any type of footwear, as they are made with straps or rigid plastic, which makes them less comfortable.

Generally, yes, but we recommend making sure that the model you are interested in can do so.

Unfortunately, when there are malfunctions as in his case, all the parts that make up the bike need maintenance.

Wt z the best wheel weight?

    • @fitnessdigital
      @fitnessdigital  Рік тому

The flywheel is the element of the bike that turns the pedal axle and transmits the different resistances to vary intensity during workouts. The greater the weight of the flywheel, the smoother and more fluid the sensation when pedalling, and the greater the possible variation of the resistance, which means more demanding workouts can be handled.
You can get satisfactory results and workouts as early as 14Kg.
